Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Perhaps asking Julia would make things clearer.

After a brief introduction, Rui Kai said, ”We plan to form a team of four.

One Fifth Stage, two Fourth Stage, and one Third Stage member.”

Does it need to be so complicated?

Alka couldn’t quite understand. He could imagine adding two Fourth Stage to the Fifth Stage, but why add a Third Stage member?

It felt like it needlessly increased the risk.

However, when he saw everyone at the table nodding knowingly, he didn’t question it further.

After all, these people certainly knew more about the Life and Death Boundary than he did.

Rui Kai then looked at Alka: ”Besides you, I hope your team can produce three other Third Stage members.”

If choosing Third Stage, the best choice would naturally be members of Alka’s team.

They were all at the pinnacle of Third Stage, each possessing a treasure and rich in team combat experience.

None of those at the table objected; on the contrary, it made the two unfamiliar merfolk curious enough to stare at them.

Alka nodded, ”No problem.”

”Who do you want to join the team?” Alka asked, looking at them.

”They are your teammates, you definitely know them better than us. And I’ve heard a bit about your team’s accomplishments, each one is trustworthy. So it’s up to you to choose.”

Hearing Rui Kai’s question, Alka couldn’t help but smile. He nodded and didn’t hesitate.

He then turned to look at his team members behind him, needing to choose suitable candidates for this mission.

After a brief thought, he said, ”Chadite, Pororo, Julia. You three.”

He could also choose Simon and Jason.

But there were already several members of the Holy Machine Church at the table, and it seemed they were also part of the team. The methods of the Holy Machine Church were somewhat similar, so Simon might not be needed, as there could be some functional overlaps.

As for Jason, if he were to act, he would definitely have to bring Ulu Liwus.

But bringing Ulu Liwus would make stealth action impossible. The Crystal Dragon is too conspicuous in battle.

And clearly, they couldn’t be considered as one in this situation.

”No objections, right?”

Hearing Alka’s words, the three shook their heads.

The others would have to remain at the fortress to wait for them and help with coordinated defense.

”These are the specific materials about the Life and Death Boundary, everyone take a copy.”

The young man from the Holy Machine Church said, producing a large stack of materials in his hand.

He had already divided them into several parts and handed them to the people at the table.

Alka also took a few copies and handed them to Chadite and the others behind him.

Rui Kai then clapped his hands and said, ”That’s it for today’s meeting, we’ll start the operation tomorrow morning. Gather at the gate then.”

After saying this, the meeting adjourned, and everyone left.

As Alka and the others left the meeting room, they saw the two merfolk approaching.

The mermaid named Chana Liss approached Julia and said, ”Thank you very much for bringing Meister’s body. We are now going to hold a farewell ceremony for her. If you don’t mind, would you like to watch?

I believe Meister’s spirit would be very happy to see you.”

Hearing this, everyone looked at Julia, waiting for her answer.

Julia was slightly taken aback, thought for a moment, and then nodded.

”Great, come along everyone.”

With that, she led everyone to the back of the fortress.

Arriving at a relatively secluded area near the water.

Unlike other places, the vines here were slightly thicker, almost floating on the water surface.

The two merfolk stood in opposite positions, and the crystal encasing the body appeared in the air, slowly descending.

Chana Liss chanted some sort of spell, and the crystal gradually turned into some kind of liquid, forming a crystal.

She turned and handed the crystal to Julia, who was right beside her.

Julia took it back.

Then the two merfolk continued with the ceremony.

Under the control of the two merfolk, the vines beneath the body began to grow, green buds sprouted, and started to cling to the mermaid’s body.

Slowly covering it, and then forming some sort of symbol with the darker buds in the center.

It was a symbol like a seed sprouting.

Alka recognized this symbol.

It was the emblem of the Life Seed Church, and also a symbol representing life.

The two merfolk began praying, akin to wishing the soul a good journey. Then their voices grew louder, transitioning from chanting to singing.

From the lyrics and melody, everyone could feel it was a song praising life. Julia stood there slightly dazed, her whole being somewhat entranced.

The song seemed to draw her into some kind of memory.

With the song, the environment around them was filled with the breath of life, and the vines underwater began to grow, sprouting buds.

The place was full of vitality.

A faint green glow transformed into leaves and branches that hung down.

From the empty air.

Falling onto the body.

A spirit with closed eyes floated out from the body.

After floating out from the body, she opened her eyes. This was the spirit of the body.

She looked towards Julia beside her.
