Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

But the fact that she is proceeding with the final step of resurrection in such a situation indicates that they have reached a certain uncontrollable state.

All the troops are amassed at the front to deal with the attacks at the Life and Death Boundary, obviously leaving not much force for the rear.

Not to mention such a vast area in the rear; how could it be possible to clear out that many demons? Not to mention the Hell Teleportation Gate is still active.

Perhaps those cultists are preparing for something even bigger, and there’s no need to question this at all.

Those cult members would do anything.

They would use strategies that harm the enemy with minimal self-loss without a second thought.

While Alka and the others are contemplating, they are more focused on analyzing the current situation. As for how to solve it, it doesn’t actually relate much to them.

After all, what can their strength accomplish here no matter how strong it is? At most, they can serve as a special guerrilla team.

They are not of much use on the entire battlefield.

Especially since their strength isn’t considered formidable for the entire war.

Letting them in to hear this information is mainly to give them some respect.

After all, Alka is blessed by the Flower Fairy and also favored by the Holy Mother.

The reason why Alka followed them back is because of the Nafasi Clan’s Treasure and the Holy Grail Level treasure at the edge of the Life and Death Boundary.

Both are very important items, and they left a small team on the island there.

This is the critical matter; otherwise, Alka might very well refuse to come here.

Now that Narvi has been brought along, the cultist from the Nafasi Clan is not so important anymore.

While Alka was lost in thought, Alati said, ”Rui Kai, take your Church members and help them with the fortress defense.”

He then turned to the Gardener and said, ”Fulna Gardener, with the help of the Divine Strategy Church, you should be able to defend better. I hope you can allocate more people, preferably those familiar enough with this area, to form small teams with us and become part of the demon-clearing squads.

Together, we will clear the demons rampaging at the rear and destroy the Teleportation Gates bringing them over.

You should know this is the most important task.

And it won’t be long before more support squads arrive, easing our pressure significantly.”

After Alati laid out his thoughts and plans, the main members discussed for a while and then nodded in agreement.

Alka and the others sat silently on the side, showing no intention of interrupting, listening intently to the information vital to their upcoming actions.

And these three groups also tacitly did not drag Alka and the others into their discussions.

Just as they were deliberating, a booming horn sounded outside.

Upon hearing it, the Gardener immediately stood up: ”The enemy is attacking!”

Upon hearing these words, everyone quickly left the conference room and headed outside.

At this moment, the entire fortress was operational, with many soldiers emerging from various buildings and rushing toward the walls.

Alati looked at the Priest beside him and asked, ”Have our ships been retrieved?”

”Rest assured, my lord, the ships we came on have already been brought in.”

The Mechanics and scholars of the Holy Machine Church began to operate the massive mechanical devices set atop the walls.

Especially those three enormous long-barreled remote attack devices. Lined up against the vine walls, they presented an imposing presence, almost capturing the attention of every soldier.

Even Alka and the others couldn’t help but watch.

”Are they very powerful?” Jason asked Simon beside him.

Simon nodded: ”I’ve heard they’re powerful, but you know, I’ve never seen them fire.”

Alka kept an eye on the enemy ahead.

Equally numerous undead creatures, those skeletal figures enveloped in moss and vines surged like a tide.

Aside from them, there were all sorts of strange undead bodies fused with plants.

These creatures densely populated the entire view, charging towards the fortress.

With the clicking sounds of machinery turning.

The three long barrels targeted the area below.

”Load fragmentation shells!”

With the command, the turning sounds echoed once more.

”Fire!”

At the command.

The triad of machines, with a powerful recoil, made the entire vine wall seemingly collapse backward a notch.

A mass of fist-sized objects scattered in the air, descending like raindrops onto the ground.

Thunderous explosions rang out across the battlefield.

Massive splashes of water erupted, and the high temperatures from the explosions led to a sudden burst of steam saturating the battlefield.

Those skeleton and plant-based undead creatures shattered into flying fragments.

Vast swathes of undead monsters fell.

In an instant, half of the undead monsters within their range of vision were cleared.

”Is it really that exaggerated?” Jason asked in wide-eyed astonishment.

Not to mention Jason, even Simon was taken aback, never expecting the three cannons to have such formidable power.

Even without considering their capability against powerful enemies, their effect on these cannon fodder was outrageously aggressive.

It was like a heap of coal dust on the ground, swept clean with a broom in an instant.

The cleaning effect was immediate.

Alka observed closely.

After the three cannons fired, they entered a cooling state. The nearby Mechanics seemed to be engaged in cooling and switching some components.
