Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

”Evil Demon Slayer.”

Jason, who had just returned from outside, looked at the few people resting in the camp and said.

Juanlu lay on the bed, heard Jason’s voice, lifted his eye mask, and squinted one eye at him.

”What nonsense are you spouting now?”

”Hey, don’t be so blunt, I’m addressing everyone here.”

Jason walked in, plopped down on a chair, leaned entirely against the back, and looked up at the ceiling, speaking.

Juanlu silently covered his eyes again, turned over, and lay with his back to Jason.

The others had already turned their backs when Jason started talking, showing no intention of acknowledging him.

Seeing the camp so quiet, with no one inquiring about what he just said, Jason lowered his head to see everyone’s backs.

”Don’t you all want to know what it means?”

Silence...

There was even the faint sound of Pororo’s snoring, who hadn’t awoken at all from Jason’s words.

He had quite a good quality of sleep.

In light of this situation, Jason’s forehead throbbed with a vein, but he could only sigh helplessly, just as he was about to explain.

Simon walked in from outside, carrying some tools in his hand.

”You’re back.”

Jason looked at him and immediately spoke: ”Guess what I heard people calling us outside?”

”What?” Simon asked.

”People outside are calling us Evil Demon Slayer.”

”Why?”

Seeing Simon’s cooperation, Jason finally smiled, deliberately raising his voice a notch to reply.

”I heard it’s because we’ve been clearing out a lot of demons lately, so we earned the name.”

”So that’s it. I thought they might call us something like demon killers. It’s decent enough to hear.”

Simon shrugged, gave a casual response, and moved past him, walking further inside.

They had already cleared four areas of demons, and there were still several areas yet to be fully cleared.

Primarily because Five Stage demons would occasionally patrol these areas, making them wary of being too presumptuous.

The demon-clearing operation was still relatively low-key.

But it couldn’t be helped they had many people, and they coordinated very well.

Plus, with the cooperation of the Puppet Girl, the speed at which they cleared these demons was incredibly fast.

Especially for smaller squads, it was like a dimensionality reduction strike.

They had already split up more puppet squads, even organizing two squads composed entirely of Puppet Girls.

Using Alka’s Mirror Teleportation to quickly flee and engage in battles. For these smaller Puppet Girls, neither their physical form nor soul integrity would cause much damage to the Mirror Teleportation.

Alka only needed to replenish it every couple of days.

The puppet squad was dedicated to eliminating these little demons and patrol squads of similar rank.

This resulted in efficient extermination of lower-tier demonic creatures.

Like a bulldozer.

The demon race has become a scourge on the world not only because of the Abyss’s corrupting mechanism.

But also because the demons infected by this powerful concentration of negative energy in the Abyss are creatures of both quality and quantity.

And demons, especially the lower-level cannon fodder, don’t have much concept of mortality or discipline.

This gives them a significant advantage when waging war, coupled with their numerical advantage.

It is difficult to find in any normal world an equivalent to the Abyss’s seemingly infinite, strong foundational force.

Theirs is an effortless invasion of other worlds, forever swallowing weaker worlds whole.

But because of rituals and the fact that part of this area is ultimately under the control of the Flower Fairy, these demons now have limited numbers and quality.

Every demon summoned through a Teleportation Gate is relatively limited, with recent portals rarely producing large numbers of lesser demons, more often ordinary demons, and some Four Stage Demon Centurions.

And it’s not that they spent a long time clearing so many demons.

Altogether, they spent only about a month on this.

Mainly because they were expanding outward from the Land of Fragrance.

”These demons are becoming harder and harder to deal with now, compared to the reckless fools from before. They’re much more organized now.” Alka remarked, having unknowingly sat up.

Due to the sheer number of demons cleared.

Alka even managed to take out several Four Stage demons, ones with a certain rank in the demon invasion.

Making these demons aware of the adverse environment, starting to change.

Mainly because the lower-grade demons were being massively cleared, being replaced with more ordinary demons.

Always acting in larger numbers and occasionally seeing groups of middle-tier demons moving together.

Although their efficiency in hunting demons decreased, correspondingly, these demons’ efficiency in causing destruction also declined.

Because they had to gather in more significant numbers and with stronger demons.

Especially around the areas that Alka and others had been hunting.
