From Arsenal to the Ball God

Arteta glanced at him, thinking of passing, but quickly a midfielder from the opposing side blocked the passing lane.

”Bang!”

Tazi helplessly returned the ball to Kyle Walker, who decisively chipped it towards Ma’el’s position. It was accurate, but not easy to receive.

Ma’el reached the drop point of the soccer ball, glanced left and right before stopping the ball, and saw a defender rushing in.

”Pop!”

At the moment of stopping the ball, he changed his decision, using the tip of his right foot to flick the bottom of the ball and hook it backwards.

As his right foot hit the ground, he pushed off, turned, and accelerated rapidly.

Chipping the ball over an opponent!

Breaking free without stopping the ball!

Ma’el moved agilely, with the soccer ball smoothly flying toward the direction he was running, in that instant he appeared more like a midfield maestro, yet one with speed.

”Boom!” Unexpectedly, the defender named McNorton reacted quickly, jumping just before the ball flew over his head, intercepting it.

Not past!

Ma’el halted his charge, quickly shifting his weight to chase back.

Ball possession loss must be regained, if the opponent transitions from defense to attack, the backfield becomes dangerous.

After catching up in two steps, Ma’el delivered a strong bargain, since the opponent must shield the ball, they had no choice but to collide with Ma’el head-on.

”Bang!”

The sound of a collision echoed, McNorton staggered toward the sideline like his feet were greased.

”Aahh...Oh....!!” The arrogant voices of Arsenal fans filled Wembley Stadium, many stood up and raised their arms to cheer for Ma’el.

Ma’el retrieved the ball, turning his head wanting to charge forward, while assessing the field.

”Slash!” Suddenly, a fierce tackle came from the right, a midfielder from the opposing side charged aggressively, sliding toward his feet.

Ma’el attempted to jump but was too late, the opponent tackled the ball without withdrawing their foot, tumbling him to the ground as well.

His calf bone suffered a sharp blow, a piercing pain spread through, causing him to roll over twice clutching his leg.

”Ow ow...!!”

”Xuxu~...!” Shortly after the cheers, Arsenal fans voiced their dissatisfaction, almost all stood up, arms spread toward the referee.

The scene was spectacular, as if everyone shared a similar drive system, responding uniformly to such situations.

”Beep!” Ultimately, the referee adjudged the Cardiff City player fouled, but showed no intention of giving a card.

”Hey hey...!” Cardiff City fans expressed discontent, standing and cursing at the referee, feeling it wasn’t a foul.

Many Arsenal fans did not return to their seats, unhappy with the opponent’s protests, they began quarreling with the opposing fans.

The chaos spread across the venue, so much that few realized Ma’el had already stood up, clutching the soccer ball while bypassing the referee engaged in an argument with the Cardiff City player.

He observed Gervinho at the far end and noticed an open space over there, thus immediately stood up.

He aimed to take a quick free kick!

This was the final, every chance to create a goal could not be overlooked, compared to pressuring the referee for a yellow card for the opponent, attaining an early lead was of utmost importance.

”Boom!!”

Ma’el’s right foot scooped the bottom of the soccer ball, bending it towards the advancing Gervinho on the right flank.

The ball roared as it flew over Cardiff City’s defense, descending towards their penalty area edge.

The Cardiff City players arguing with the referee were stunned, turning their heads to find Gervinho nearing the ball.

They opened their mouths wanting to complain to the referee, but realizing no card was issued, it was permissible to take a quick free kick, so they hurriedly turned to run.

Gervinho didn’t allow them the chance, after stopping the ball he searched for Van Persie’s silhouette in the central area.

After glancing twice, just outside the penalty area, Arteta seemed to have a better opportunity.

”Bang!”

He delivered a back pass, positioning the ball at the arc-top area open space, prepping the cannon for Arteta.

Arteta caught up in two steps, glancing sharply at the goal, then lowered his head and unleashed a long shot.

”Bang!!” A thundering shot echoed throughout, in the instant of shooting Arteta seemed airborne, channeling all his explosive energy into the strike.

”Bang!!”

Yet the opposing goalkeeper Heaton extended his arm, deflecting the ball, it flew back into the penalty area.

No goal!

”Ah...”

”Ah...”

Two surprised vocalizations arose consecutively, the first was from Cardiff City fans, the second from Arsenal fans.

However, they quickly observed a nimble figure darting within the penalty area, seizing the second point ball.

It’s Van Persie!

”Bang!”

After properly stopping the ball, General Fan took advantage of the goalkeeper not yet recovering, gently pushed the ball into the near corner, the soccer ball smoothly climbed along the net, slowing only upon descending towards the center.

Goal in!

One to zero!

Arsenal led!

”Oh...Yeahhhh...!!!”

The massive Wembley Stadium, Arsenal fans tensely stood up, waving their arms rapidly.

They took the lead in this highly uncertain final!

”Wonderful!!” Wenger jumped up at the sideline, quickly turning to find celebrating companions.

”Haha...!”

At the corner flag area, Van Persie slid on his knees across the Wembley Stadium grass, leading the team in such a match is exhilarating.

”Wow...!” The entire Arsenal team rushed towards him, even Mertesacker positioned furthest back was there.

Most slid out besides him, joining Van Persie in the enjoyment of Wembley Stadium grass’s softness, reveling in the atmosphere’s fiery ambiance at the moment.

Ma’el did not slide on his knees, after running to position he simply excitedly high-fived with everyone.

Knee slides should be reserved for his own goal, sliding with teammates feels like wasting a bit of passion.

He believed he could score, bringing the team closer to victory!

”Good shot.”

Van Persie praised Arteta when high-fiving, complimented Gervinho’s pass when high-fiving him, and said with a smile when high-fiving Ma’el: ”Good fall!”

”Go away.” Ma’el laughed opening his hand, the group merrily walked back.

Close to the team’s first championship in seven years!
