From Arsenal to the Ball God

”Yes.” The team doctor nodded, his tone firm: ”Just make sure to pay attention to rehabilitation treatment.”

Götze was still lying on the sofa, and after looking back, his mood immediately reversed, revealing a smile: ”That’s good, that’s good... I’ll definitely pay attention!”

After the team doctor left, Reus sat next to him and said seriously, ”You and I also need to focus on therapy now. We can’t just mess around on our own; don’t be reluctant to invest in this aspect.

”If we keep getting injured so frequently, no matter how good the talent, it will go to waste.”

At this point, his eyes shifted, ”Your biggest competitor for the Golden Boy Award, Ma’el, played 42 games in the Championship season with no injuries.

”He places a lot of importance on this. I’ve heard from the British media that he now maintains his own team, spending £14,000 per week and has rented a house with a weekly rent of over £10,000 to live with them.”

Götze’s expression dimmed a bit, shaking his head, ”I can’t come up with that much money on this. Ma’el had a hefty promotion-winning bonus last season, which I didn’t have.”

Reus still wanted to persuade him, but thinking of himself, he seemed unwilling to put out that much money either... he had to say, ”That’s true, players in the Premier League generally earn more than those in the Bundesliga, and Ma’el has great potential, surely earning more than us.”

”Earning more now doesn’t mean anything.”

Götze found that only needing to stop for a week or two regained his confidence and pride; after all, he is the super Götze in the eyes of fans.

He looked at the ground, his eyes firm: ”I must work hard on statistics in various competitions over these two months, bring back the Golden Boy Award, and negotiate for a salary increase with the club!”

Reus cheered him on, but thinking of today’s media reports, he felt a bit uneasy about Götze’s prospects of winning the Golden Boy.

...

In London, inside a villa.

More than ten movers were carrying several large objects wrapped in foam into Ma’el’s home, each requiring their combined effort, exhausting all their strength to move them into the room.

The custom-made honor cabinets finally arrived, all placed in a room prepared in advance, neatly aligning against the wall.

They had already discussed the specific size and shape... it was made according to the size and height of this room to ensure they fit perfectly.

”This is top-quality ironwood.”

Davis pointed at the already assembled base of the honor cabinet, smiling as he introduced, ”It has great durability, high strength, wear resistance, and is resistant to decay and insect damage; this wood comes from the rainforest.

”The glass on top is special glass, and ordinary bumps won’t cause any deformation; it’s almost impossible to break.”

Ma’el stood next to him, looking at the new honor cabinet, nodding in satisfaction.

Actually, the materials aren’t the most important part; it’s the handmade craftsmanship and various small designs that are the reason for its high price.

Upon closer inspection, there’s a mirror on the front of the three-layer honor cabinet, with a row of bright lights above, illuminating the entire cabinet brilliantly.

One couldn’t help but anticipate... the appearance of these three layers filled with Golden Boots and various best awards would certainly be dazzling.

Apart from these four cabinets, there are also more than ten small, creatively designed vertical cabinets that could fill the empty spaces in the room, showcasing match-used balls and commemorative trophies.

There are also many wooden racks for hanging jerseys worn during matches, and panels for storing exciting match posters and stylish cover photos. Overall, they are well thought out, covering everything.

”It’s empty again.”

Ma’el took out the items from his small honor cabinet and moved them into these cabinets, ”I need to work harder, aim to put the Golden Boy Award in first.”

”Yes.” Davis nodded in agreement, these honor cabinets filled the room, looking indeed quite empty.

”But it’s only the first year.”

Ma’el placed the last match ball in the vertical cabinet, looking forward: ”By the time I retire, I must fill it up.”

”Good luck.” Davis raised an eyebrow with a smile, offering encouragement... that’s quite challenging.

As the movers carried the last cabinet into the room, they were utterly exhausted, sitting on the floor and gasping for air, sweating profusely.

Ma’el didn’t let them suffer, in his good mood, he gave everyone a £200 tip as a gesture of appreciation and goodwill.

”Thank you!”

”What a great employer.”

”Wish you become the London Ball King.”

Europe inherently has a tipping culture, and these people accepted the money with smiles, standing up to express their gratitude.

Ma’el waved his hand, indicating it’s nothing, and went to another room to hang two printed match photos on the photo wall, feeling satisfied as he admired it.

Nice... the photo wall is gradually filling up, now featuring nine photos.

Keep pushing!

After overcoming the Manchester United hurdle, there are no matches for more than ten days, enough time to concentrate fully on grinding skill levels.

He needs to train a new skill this time, opting to enhance his shooting ability.
