From Arsenal to the Ball God

He saw Liverpool’s goalkeeper Reina coming out, he lowered his head, nudged the ball with his toe from underneath, and lobbed it towards Liverpool’s goal!

The ball flew up with a fierce backspin, heading towards the top of Reina’s head... Reina quickly jumped up, raising his hand to try and block the ball, but unfortunately, the ball had a certain speed, and he couldn’t stop it.

”Thud... swish!” The ball bounced forward again after hitting the ground and slowly rolled into the net.

It’s a goal!

Arsenal one to nil!

”Yeah...!!” The fans at the Emirates Stadium sprang to their feet, jubilantly jumping up and down in celebration, with countless people excitedly hugging each other.

This was an opening goal!

”Van Persie!”

On the sideline bench, Philip and all the Arsenal assistant coaches rushed out of their seats, rushing behind Wenger, ”Ma’el’s assist! This is their first connection in an official match!”

”This will be the norm!”

”We’re ahead!”

Wenger’s expression gradually turned excited; he first suppressed his emotions and glanced towards the linesman’s position.

Seeing that the opponent never raised the offside flag, he turned and sprinted towards the center circle, only then daring to release his emotions, ”Wow...!”

Wenger raised both hands high, then hugged the assistant coaches, ”I’ve long wanted to see their chemistry!”

On the pitch, Van Persie continued to run to the side of the goal due to inertia, seeing the ball go into the net, he couldn’t help but spread his arms wide and roared, ”Ah-oh...!!”

He ran elegantly toward the corner flag area, the second goal of the season had arrived!

He then slid on his knees along the turf, waved his fists a few times, and looked for Ma’el.

”Here he comes!”

Ma’el ran exuberantly with outstretched arms, sliding on his knees with Van Persie to celebrate this connecting goal.

This was his first assist in the Premier League, teaming up with the team’s top scorer Van Persie for a goal for the first time in the Premier League!

Moreover, their opponent was Liverpool, one of the Premier League’s big six!

He managed to defeat Martin Kelly right under the nose of their legendary players and provided Van Persie with an assist!

”So accurate!”

Van Persie jumped up after getting up, feeling invigorated as he chest-bumped Ma’el in celebration, ”I haven’t waited in vain! And I didn’t run this opening in vain!”

”Move when you see the chance!”

Ma’el high-fived him and said with a smile, ”There will be more opportunities.”

”We will definitely be great partners!” Van Persie hugged him briefly, lifted Ma’el’s hand into the sky facing the Arsenal fan section.

Ma’el and the Dutch God Striker laughed together as they approached the corner flag, enjoying the cheers and encouragement from the fans up close.

They appeared as bullfighters who had collaborated on a bullfight, concluding the first round in the most elegant way possible.

...

”The ball is in!!”

In the broadcasting room, Zhan Jun had a slight wry smile on his face, but his hoarse voice was full of passion: ”The connection between Van Persie and Ma’el, they seized this counterattack opportunity and smashed through Liverpool’s goal!”

”Arsenal achieved a dream start!

”Liverpool’s defense line had many problems... First, Martin Kelly lost out to Ma’el in their confrontation, giving Ma’el the chance to pass the ball!

”Then Kagura failed to mark Van Persie, allowing the latter to have a one-on-one run towards the goalkeeper!

”This was a brilliant goal, Ma’el’s passing was extremely accurate, his vision and overall awareness are very good, he’s on the way to becoming top-tier!

”As for Van Persie’s handling, it goes without saying, he demonstrated the standard a top forward should have!”

Zhan Jun quickly noticed the broadcast camera focusing on Martin Kelly, it was a close-up of his face, a common ’culprit close-up’ after a goal.

”Martin Kelly looks serious, with sweat on his face... He must have felt Ma’el’s impact and passing skills, feeling a bit uneasy about the upcoming defense.

”Look at Kagura again, the Liverpool veteran kept turning his head to watch the celebrating Arsenal players, seemingly amazed by the opponent’s seamless counterattack.

”Can’t tell much from Dalglish’s expression, but you can imagine, he has some waves in his heart, hoping their forwards can quickly emerge, helping the team blossom in attack.”

Finished talking, Zhan Jun also shook his head slightly, feeling some pressure.

Personally, he surely hopes Liverpool can win away, defeating Arsenal...he truly is a very loyal Liverpool fan.

...

At the corner of the East and West stands, in the Arsenal youth academy seating section, there was a burst of jubilation, with children of all ages standing up to celebrate.

”Yes...!”

Hans’s drumming hand gained more strength, pounding the drumhead crazily, shouting, ”The first assist against a big six! My goodness... how much more can he accomplish?!”

The U18 players stood up clapping, witnessing their former teammate stand at the sideline with the team’s top scorer Van Persie, seemingly integrated into one, feeling like players of the same level.

”He improved so fast, how did he pass that ball?”

”His crossing has always been accurate, his footwork is excellent... he probably honed it at Sheffield United!”

”Incredible, I no longer see him as a young player in front of Van Persie, they fight side by side... and both have the ability to contribute to the team!”

”Still feels a bit surreal, the person who celebrated with us a year ago is now celebrating with Van Persie, haha!”

”Keep going!”

”I realized I don’t have a photo or autograph from him, felt embarrassed to ask before, will I not have the opportunity in the future?”

”Possible...”

In front of them, a little boy wearing an Arsenal No. 7 jersey excitedly took off his shirt, showing it off to his teammates.
