Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 473: Chapter 473: You Can Do That?

The children care for Mommy, and Mommy cares for the children.

Mia Lane couldn’t bear to blame them anymore. She reached out and gently embraced the children, filled with guilt in her heart. She felt she hadn’t done well in her role as a mother.

Gently stroking the children’s small heads, Mia kept talking about how good Kristina Kingston is, ”Grandmother is very nice, you just don’t know her well.”

She truly hopes the children can accept and like their grandmother from the depths of their hearts.

Since they were young, the children longed not only for fatherly love but also for a grandmother.

These are wounds in Mia’s heart, and she’s doing everything to make up for them.

Clearwater Bay.

Kristina Kingston’s mood was utterly ruined from the moment the children left.

Seeing a pair of little socks the children wore, a cup they drank from, she could lose herself in thought for a long time, truly bringing the saying ”seeing objects reminds of people” to life.

Evening at Emerald Cove.

Under the golden sunset, in the warm evening breeze, the children had just been running around in the yard, playing until they were sweaty.

At this time, Aunt Zhou led them to take a bath and change clothes.

Half an hour later.

Gigi and Dolly came out wearing super trendy sibling outfits, looking very nice.

Gigi was wearing light blue overalls, and Dolly wore a light blue overall dress. Their T-shirts were pink, with a small heart logo on the chest, and they both wore pink baseball caps.

”Mommy, where are we going?” Gigi asked.

Because Mommy had said before the bath that they would go somewhere after bathing.

”To Ian Shelby’s place.”

The children were very excited, clapping their hands happily, ”That’s great!” Their big eyes curved into crescents as they followed Daddy and Mommy out of the living room and happily got into the Lamborghini.

”We haven’t seen Ian Shelby for a long time!”

”Mommy, I kind of miss him,” Dolly’s little voice was particularly cute.

”You’ll see him soon.” Mia pulled the children’s little hands.

In the back seat.

Gigi looked at the man sitting beside him, deeply attracted by his demeanor, ”Daddy, can you hug me?”

Because Dolly was sitting on Mommy’s lap.

”No.” Mia held onto Justin Kingston’s reaching hand, preventing him from hugging, ”Daddy is injured.”

Gigi’s pretty eyebrows furrowed, worriedly looking at him, ”Where are you hurt?”

”It’s nothing.” Justin’s lips curled lightly, and he reached out to hug Gigi on his lap, ”What’s a little injury like this? Besides, my legs aren’t hurt.”

”Where are you hurt?” Gigi was still very worried, ”Does it hurt? Mommy is a doctor, did she take a look?”

”Mommy looked it over and said it’s fine, it’ll heal quickly.” Justin’s voice was gentle.

”Daddy, do you want Gigi to blow on it for you?”

”No need.” Justin’s expression was kindly, he wrapped the child in his arms, pinching his cute little cheek, ”Did you get used to living at Grandma’s?”

”Actually, Grandma was really nice to us.” Gigi recalled those days, sharing bits with Daddy and Mommy.

As the car was nearing its destination, Mia told the children, ”In a moment, I’ll introduce a new friend to you.”

”New friend?” Gigi’s shiny eyes rolled around, ”Did Ian Shelby get a girlfriend?”

”Who is it?” Dolly asked eagerly, ”Is his girlfriend pretty?”

”Not Ian Shelby’s girlfriend.” Mia honestly told them, ”It’s an uncle, your Daddy’s brother; we’ll have one more family member now.”

”Brother?” Gigi looked at Justin in surprise, ”Aren’t you Grandma’s only son? How can you have a brother?”

Dolly said, ”Not related! Not born by the same parents, cousins!”

”Not cousins.” Mia carefully told the children, ”The same Daddy, but not the same Mommy.”

Regarding whether to be upfront with the children, Mia discussed it with Justin.

She thought if she didn’t tell them clearly in advance, they would ask tirelessly until the situation became more awkward.

Moreover, children have to grow up eventually, and they will know one day.

The children earnestly pondered the meaning of Mommy’s words, their little brains spinning, the same Daddy, not the same Mommy?

”Can it be done like that?” Gigi and Dolly asked simultaneously.
