Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 468: Chapter 468: What Do You Want to Tell Me?

”...” Kristina Kingston was speechless and didn’t dare to think about it.

Mia Lane, having studied psychology, understood her inner thoughts at that moment. ”Auntie, I know you don’t like me, but it’s not to the extent of wanting me dead.”

Yes, Kristina Kingston wasn’t a demon.

”You just feel insecure, thinking I am competing with you for your son.” Mia’s attitude was exceptionally good, and her voice was gentle.

There was not the slightest hint of arrogance in her tone. ”Auntie, I don’t know if my guess is correct, but today I really want to take this opportunity to tell you...”

Unsure if she’d be willing to listen, Mia cleverly left her words hanging.

Kristina Kingston, however, became interested in her inner thoughts, focusing intently on her, ”What do you want to tell me? Don’t be coy, tell me.”

”I want to tell you,” she said softly, ”My presence only means that there’s one more person in this world who loves him.”

Kristina Kingston met her gaze, listening as she continued, ”Auntie, actually Justin, just like you, has no sense of security. He trusts no one and used to wrap himself tightly. He said he’s never thought about getting married.”

Upon hearing these words, Kristina Kingston’s gaze lost focus for a moment, but only briefly. She coldly asked, ”What? Do you think you understand him well?”

”I don’t know.” Mia smiled bravely, saying, ”But I know he’s very happy with me. He smiles more and his whole aura has softened a lot.”

Indeed, Kristina Kingston couldn’t deny this, as she had seen it with her own eyes.

More smiles, but also more disasters, several times nearly cost him his life.

Her insecurity had stemmed from this feeling too, sensing her son was being taken away by another woman, and after Mia appeared, Kristina Kingston became even less happy.

”Auntie, honestly, with your attitude towards me, I’ve held resentment towards you.” Mia opened up, ”But I know you are Justin’s mother. I should respect you, should stand in your shoes to understand you. In the future, I will love you just as he does.”

Kristina Kingston saw the heartfelt sincerity in her eyes and listened as she continued, ”Especially after this life-and-death experience, I feel that we should cherish the present and not fuss over anything.”

Kristina Kingston’s heart finally felt a slight emotion.

Meanwhile, downstairs in the living room, Justin Kingston checked the time on his wrist for the fifth time, worried about her.

But having promised to give her fifteen minutes, the time wasn’t up yet.

He had to keep his promise and not go up.

At Ian Shelby’s villa.

The sunset’s afterglow cast a thin veil over the villa, dreamy and gentle.

Anton Miller sat on the sofa by the window, his injured hand hung around his neck, gazing at the vibrant clouds in the sky, feeling somewhat empty inside.

Called home for dinner by his mother was a familial love he could never truly understand.

But thinking that Mia was safe, the big stone in his heart was finally laid down.

Remembering Justin Kingston’s change in attitude towards him, Anton Miller’s heart felt complex... Was this reconciliation?

Even if it wasn’t reconciliation yet, it was on the path to it, right?

Emotional people are often like this, always able to forgive everything at the right moment.

Two hours later.

The Lamborghini came into his view, and Anton Miller realized he had been sitting by the window for two hours.

By now, night had already fallen, the sky was sparkling with stars, and a bright moon hung high, the light from the car’s headlights feeling warm in one’s heart.
