Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 37: Chapter 37: Whose Methods Are Superior?

”Of course not.” He stubbornly replied, straightening his back and turning his gaze away.

”Then why did you come over?” She looked at his profile, ”Miss me?”

”Definitely not!”

The woman laughed and stretched wearily, ”Oh dear, the noodles I cooked are getting cold, I’ve been busy treating Uncle Lee’s wound.” Saying this, she walked towards the kitchen, ”Women, no matter how busy, should eat on time, you shouldn’t abuse your stomach! I’ll fill my tummy first, feel free to do as you like!”

Justin Kingston turned around and followed her, watching as she picked up a bowl and gobbled down the noodles without any care for appearances.

This sight made him involuntarily swallow his saliva.

Ever since he tasted her cooking, Justin Kingston developed an inexplicable aversion to nutritional injections, leaving work early just to have a taste of her dinner.

Mia Lane walked towards him with a bowl of noodles, asking between bites, ”What did you want to see me about?”

Unexpectedly, Justin Kingston snatched the chopsticks and bowl from her hands and began eating recklessly!

Mia Lane, who had noodles in her mouth, was stunned! She stared at him, wide-eyed.

Isn’t this the guy with severe OCD?

How come he’s not bothered by her saliva?

At that moment, Justin Kingston looked nothing like the all-powerful CEO who dominated the corporate world.

After only a couple of bites of noodles, he suddenly furrowed his brows and started vomiting into a nearby trash can!!

”Hey!” Mia Lane was startled again, ”Are you okay?” She quickly took the bowl out of his hands, handed him tissues, and poured water to care for him.

Justin Kingston felt his stomach churning, extremely uncomfortable.

He vomited all the noodles he just ate... as if they were poisonous.

Mia Lane held a glass of water, looking at him in discomfort, ”Here, rinse your mouth first.” How could he seem so vulnerable at this moment?

Justin Kingston took the glass, rinsed his mouth, and took a deep breath to calm down.

The girl eyed him, ”What’s up with you? Such a strong reaction?”

”The noodles weren’t made by you?” he coldly questioned, his deep, sharp eyes glazed with frost.

”Jonah Woods made them.” She laughed softly, ”When would I have the time to make noodles? I’ve been helping Uncle Lee with his wound!”

Justin Kingston looked like he wanted to roll his eyes!

Mia Lane remembered what Butler Shelby had said, that Justin Kingston couldn’t get used to anyone’s cooking except hers...

He coldly stared at her, forcing her to stop smiling.

”Wait here,” Mia Lane said seriously, then turned and walked into the kitchen.

He followed, watching her silently busy herself—

boiling water, chopping tomatoes, cooking noodles...

Watching her long hair cascade down her back, with a slight curl at the end, made her look quite pure.

Her cooking noodles for him made Justin Kingston feel a genuine warmth flowing through him, very touched.

Mia Lane quickly brought out two bowls of noodles and handed him a pair of chopsticks.

”Have a seat, let’s eat together. Although it’s simple here, it’s very clean.” Her voice was soothing, ”Even when I’m not around, Jonah Woods cleans every day.”

Justin Kingston accepted the chopsticks and sat down opposite her, slowly looking around at the traces of the children’s lives in this place... six years, six years.

The noodles smelled delicious, perfectly suited to Justin Kingston’s taste, he ate with peace of mind.

Mia Lane teased, ”Aren’t you afraid I’ve poisoned it?”

He glanced at her and didn’t bother to respond.

”You came looking for me, who’s the aloof act for?” She wasn’t impressed at all, withdrew her gaze, and focused on her noodles.

Later, Justin Kingston walked around the bamboo house, familiarizing himself with where the children used to live.

Mia Lane was organizing the dried herbs she’d dried today, classifying them.

Jonah Woods came back after escorting Uncle Lee, noticing the Lamborghini still parked in the yard, he stopped in dissatisfaction.

The two bodyguards in black stood like door gods beside the car, which he found very annoying.

When he entered, he met Justin Kingston, who was tall and exuded an imposing aura.

Jonah Woods didn’t greet him proactively, feeling both fear and a bit of resentment towards him—he’d taken Gigi and Dolly away, and now even his mentor.

”Are you going back tonight?” Justin Kingston turned to ask Mia Lane.
