Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 12: Chapter 12: She Doesn’t Take Him Seriously

Justin Kingston placed his hands behind his head, lightly pursing his thin lips, as he stared at her nonchalantly.

Mia Lane quickly removed her leg draped over his waist!

Oh my god!

Could she have clung to him all night?

This! How is it possible!!

”You...” Mia’s eyes widened, her face alternating between red and white, ”I...”

Before Justin could speak, she quickly jumped off the bed, put on her shoes, and dashed out the door!

It was a bit like fleeing in panic.

Her heart was pounding, cheeks burning hot! Her whole head was in a fog!

Justin had actually been awake for some time; he remained in the position he lay down in last night, gentlemanly waiting for her to wake up.

This woman, like a water snake, clung tightly to his waist, and he surprisingly didn’t mind at all.

The faint scent lingering in the air gradually distracted him.

This was the scent of mixed herbs...

Justin got up and dressed; he seemed calm, but actually he was suppressing a rush of heat inside, having once experienced her beauty, especially after sleeping together again last night.

Certain images kept flashing in his mind; for the first time, his long-maintained restraint felt unbearably difficult.

He moved to another room, locking the door behind him.

Opening a cabinet, he took out a box and skillfully prepared the medicine, injecting it into the vein of his arm.

Watching the blue liquid slowly enter his body, the man’s face remained calm; he had been using this medication for years.

Downstairs in the kitchen—

Mia Lane was cooking tomato and egg noodles for the kids; it’s their favorite dish.

The scene from this morning kept bouncing in her mind, impossible to forget, leaving her flustered and distracted, nearly cutting her hand while chopping tomatoes.

Justin came down and into the kitchen; he had intended to instruct the chef to make something the children liked.

But he saw that woman busily working in the kitchen, three bowls of steaming tomato and egg noodles on the stove, as she sprinkled some scallions into the bowls.

The aroma of the noodles wafted through the air, not greasy at all.

When Mia turned around carrying the noodles, she was shocked to see the man standing at the doorway, his gaze locked on her.

She was startled internally, steadied her emotions, pursed her pink lips, and decided not to speak to him!

She walked out of the kitchen carrying the bowl, gently placing the noodles on the dining table.

Passing by him again, the keen-sensed Justin once more caught a whiff of her unique fragrance, a scent that tugged at his heartstrings; every time he smelled it, he felt exceedingly pleasant; he liked this scent.

”Mommy, Daddy! Good morning!”

As Mia brought out another bowl, Gigi and Dolly also entered the dining room.

They wore beautiful new clothes, having washed up and looking particularly energetic!

Mia tried to ignore Justin’s presence, smiling as she invited the kids to sit down, ”Gigi, Dolly, time to have breakfast.”

”Wow! I didn’t expect to eat Mommy’s homemade tomato and egg noodles here too! So lucky!”

”So fragrant! So awesome!” Dolly was also very cheerful.

Justin saw her sit down with the kids, completely ignoring him.

”Hey? Mommy, didn’t you make any for Daddy?” Gigi noticed, ”Why are there only three bowls?”

Mia reached out and patted his little head, ”Be good, eat your food.”

Although Justin didn’t need breakfast, having just taken his nutrient injection, this woman’s behavior irked him!

They were already married, yet she still didn’t care for him?

So Justin took a step toward her, and just before Mia’s chopsticks reached the bowl, he took her bowl of noodles.

The woman abruptly lifted her eyes, and Justin smoothly snatched the chopsticks from her hands.

”What are you doing?” she asked.

He casually turned away with the noodles and walked off!

”Hey!” Mia started to speak but stopped.

”Mommy, I can’t finish this much, I’ll share some with you!”

”Mommy, I can’t finish mine either. Remember to make Daddy’s portion next time, because we are a family.”

The children were always especially considerate and understanding at moments like these.

In the living room—

Justin placed the bowl and chopsticks on the coffee table, sitting on the sofa, feeling a bit disheartened.

Women outside were always trying all ways to get close to him, yet he seemed so insignificant in Mia’s eyes?

Not even counted for breakfast! Absolutely infuriating!

She had slept under his blanket, on his bed last night, and clung to him all night!

Having only eaten nothing but drunk water for years, always relying on nutrient injections, he astonishingly picked up the chopsticks as he was tempted by the noodle aroma.
