Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 25: Chapter 25: His Attitude

Did you come in before you even had a chance to say hello and already persuade someone to leave?

Mia Lane immediately understood her situation. She didn’t respond but instead turned her gaze to the man beside her who was as steady as a rock.

”You don’t need to look at him,” Kristina Kingston’s tone was severe. ”My son and Monica Usher are a perfect match. Although I don’t know how you ended up pregnant with his child, and I’m not sure whose child it is, I’m stating my position clearly: I do not approve of you. The Kingston family is willing to raise the child and is also willing to compensate you for the expenses over the years.”

Justin Kingston was also silent, leaving Mia unable to guess his thoughts.

”I’m not the one who can make that decision,” Mia had to answer herself. ”You’ll have to ask your son, after all, he’s the one who insisted on marrying me.”

This tone made Kristina Kingston very displeased! It was as if she didn’t have any respect for her elders!

”I’m asking you for your attitude! Not him!”

”Mom, marriage is not a game,” Justin Kingston’s voice had an imposing force to it, ”Since we’re already married, I must have thought it through carefully. I brought her back today to tell you that I cannot marry Monica Usher.”

”Son!” Kristina Kingston was emotionally agitated, her eyes filled with disbelief. ”Did you randomly marry a woman just to avoid marrying Monica?”

”I didn’t marry her randomly,” he emphasized, ”She is the biological mother of my child. No one is more suitable to be my wife.”

Kristina Kingston was so angry that she clutched her chest, and Mary quickly supported her while Justin bowed and left with Mia.

Mia still looked back uneasily, but Justin’s steps were resolute.

In the car on the way back, Mia sat beside him, calmly smoothing out her thoughts.

He was confronting his mother...

It was to avoid marrying Monica Usher that he hurriedly got the marriage certificate with her.

How absurd!

The Lamborghini stopped steadily in front of the Emerald Cove villa. After Justin got out of the car, he went straight to the living room. When Mia got out, he was already almost inside.

Justin went upstairs, gave himself an intravenous infusion of nutrients, and then entered the study.

At dinner, Mia was with the children.

”The robot that daddy gave us is so fun, and it’s super smart! Its voice is also super cute,” Gigi was still excited. ”Mommy, it’s like a knowledgeable little companion. I’m taking it to bed tonight!”

”Mine is pink, and I love it too,” Dolly’s smile was a bit shy. ”Mommy, Butler Shelby said daddy gave you roses. Is he in love with you?”

”Isn’t it normal that daddy loves mommy?” Gigi chimed in, ”Our Mia Lane is so adorable!”

Mia smiled at the children, ”Hurry and eat, no more talking!”

”Mommy, is grandma fierce?”

”No more talking! Eat!”

Upstairs in the study, it was extremely quiet.

Justin sat at the desk, his long and elegant fingers tapping on the keyboard. The royal custom jewelry set for the Eldoria New Year’s collection was the key project for Kingston Group next month, so he was doing the overall planning and needed to hold a meeting soon to distribute tasks to the design department.

Kingston Group’s position in the jewelry industry was unparalleled, but there was still a strong competitor, the R-Alan Company.

Kingston’s jewelry only surpassed it in the past two years.

After dinner, Mia told the children a few stories.

Later, Aunt Zhou helped bathe the children, and Mia tucked them into bed.

At ten o’clock at night.

She walked into the master bedroom, only to find that Justin was not there.

After pondering a bit, she headed to the study. It was exceptionally quiet outside, and there was no sound coming from within.

Mia gently placed her ear against the door to listen for any movement inside. However, she didn’t gauge the force well, and the slightly ajar door accidentally opened. She lost her balance and fell into Justin’s solid chest, her hands naturally wrapping around his waist!

Looking down at the woman hanging in his arms, the man’s thin lips moved slightly.

Mia quickly regained her balance, awkwardly meeting his gaze, at a loss for words. ”I wasn’t eavesdropping or snooping. I just... just...”

Justin ignored her embarrassment, stepping out from beside her, apparently deciding not to pursue the matter.
