Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 28: Chapter 28: He’s Angry

The person who can stay by his side must have passed numerous tests, which further illustrates one point: Justin Kingston really values family.

For the children’s sake, he took her back to Emerald Cove before finding out everything clearly.

”Mommy, let’s go back to Sunshine Village! I want to say hi to Bebe and also see Jonah Woods!”

”Mommy, I want to go back too! I’ve already packed my things!”

Mia Lane watched as the children happily came downstairs and kept begging in front of her.

The weather is nice today, so if they want to go, let’s go! We left in such a rush, we didn’t even say goodbye to the villagers.

”Madam, do you need a car?”

”No, no, we’ll just take a cab, let’s not make it too flashy.”

Afternoon.

The landline in Emerald Cove’s living room rang, Butler Shelby stepped forward to pick up the handset, ”Hello, Mr. Kingston.”

”What are the kids doing? Have they eaten?” Justin Kingston asked with concern amidst his work.

The butler replied, ”Madam took them to the village to visit old friends, they didn’t have lunch at home.”

”What?” Justin Kingston’s voice turned cold, ”They went back to the village?”

”Yes.”

Soon, in Sunshine Village, while Mia Lane was washing herbs with Jonah Woods, her phone rang.

She took it out and saw it was a call from Justin Kingston.

”I’ll take this call first.”

As soon as she swiped to answer, a chilling voice came through, ”Who allowed you to take them back? Who will be responsible if something happens?”

”I’ve been with them for six years and nothing’s ever happened, what’s wrong with visiting again?”

”Is it the same situation now?” Justin Kingston’s voice was deep, ”The media has already reported they are my children, can you consider all the uncertainties?”

”...” She was at a loss for words.

”Wait there, I’ve sent someone to pick you up, from now on you are not allowed to take them away without my permission!”

”Hey, they’re my children too!”

Mia Lane had just intended to rebut a few words when the dial tone came from the other end of the phone.

Not long after, a luxury car drove into the village, turned, and stopped in the yard, and Butler Shelby stepped out after the car door opened.

”Madam, I am here on Mr. Kingston’s orders to take you and the children back to the city.” The butler bowed respectfully.

Perhaps for fear of her resistance, he even brought bodyguards along this time.

Just like that, Mia Lane and the children bid farewell to Jonah Woods and then got into the butler’s car.

”Master.” Jonah Woods looked on with reluctance in his eyes, she wasn’t doing well, was she!

Why does it feel like she has no freedom at all?

Mia Lane smiled faintly, reaching out to touch his head, ”I’ll come over tomorrow, let’s send them back today.”

”Will you be able to come out?” Jonah Woods asked worriedly.

”I can.”

On the way back, Mia Lane thought and thought again, then turned her gaze toward Butler Shelby, ”Is he angry?”

”Mr. Kingston is very worried about your safety.” The butler hoped she could understand, ”Young Master Gigi and Miss Dolly hold noble statuses, and from now on, must be accompanied by bodyguards and report to Mr. Kingston when going out.”

”...”

The butler added, ”Mr. Kingston is also concerned about the children’s safety.”

The car stopped in the yard in front of the Emerald Cove villa.

After getting out of the car, Mia Lane unexpectedly saw the parked Lamborghini not far away, he returned?

As soon as she entered the living room, she felt a palpable oppressive aura.

Justin Kingston sat on the sofa, legs crossed, his hawk-like eyes staring at her as if she had committed some heinous crime.

Aunt Zhou saw trouble brewing and quickly took the children upstairs.

Mia Lane stood in the center of the living room, facing that gaze unyieldingly. For such a trivial matter, he thought it necessary to leave work and come home to deal with it?

”Your actions today were very dangerous.” Justin Kingston said, full of displeasure, his eyes like a hawk, ”Do you realize that?”

Mia Lane responded, ”I don’t think it was dangerous, the children grew up in Sunshine Village, they’ve lived there for six years, it’s not a messy place, saying goodbye to friends is quite normal.”

Justin Kingston stood up, his face slightly softened, his eyes flickered with a hint of anger.

Mia Lane didn’t want to argue with him, so she changed her tone, ”I understand your point, I’ll be more careful in the future.”

”Not careful,” he said in a deep voice, ”It’s to prevent such things from happening again.”

She fell silent...

And Justin Kingston stared at her deeply, walking toward her one step at a time, ”Did you hear me?”
