The entire field fell into a strange silence, every student’s face filled with shock and disbelief.

After the stunned silence came the uproar.

”What just happened?”

”Could it be that Kakashi’s Great Fireball Technique was all show and had no power?”

”Didn’t you feel that heat wave just now? Seiryū must’ve done something to shatter the Great Fireball!”

”But how? How did he do that!?”

What was that?

What had they just witnessed?

The Great Fireball Technique was shattered with a single punch?

How did Seiryū manage that!?

It was too outrageous. Based on their knowledge, they couldn’t even begin to understand the situation. They couldn’t figure out what happened... They were simply stunned.

”This is...” Hyūga Tetsu of the Hyūga clan activated his Byakugan to observe the battle. He saw it clearly, but the shock in his heart was even greater than everyone else’s.

He muttered in disbelief, ”Such precise Chakra control... How can someone this young pull that off? Even the Jōnin in our clan might not be able to reach this level...”

The Byakugan of the Hyūga clan is not as difficult to awaken as the Uchiha clan’s Sharingan.

With the solid foundation of a noble clan, they begin refining Chakra at an early age. Many children around six or seven have already awakened the Byakugan.

Due to the Byakugan’s special nature, he had clearly seen what Seiryū did: in that moment, Chakra surged and exploded from his fist, directly blasting the Great Fireball apart!

Such refined Chakra control... Even their clan’s Jōnin might not be able to do it!!

”This...” Let alone the students, even Oda-sensei, a Chūnin, couldn’t understand what had just happened.

Did Seiryū use a Ninjutsu he had never seen before?

It was hard to believe!

In the arena, the shattered flames scattered and fell. Seiryū shook his right hand and grimaced slightly. ”Don’t mention it... That was quite scalding.”

Although punching through the Great Fireball made for a spectacular scene, the heat wave had burned his fist a little. It hurt. He couldn’t be this reckless next time.

Kakashi: ”...”

Just ”scalding”?

He had thought Seiryū would dodge and had already prepared for the next move.

But his opponent’s actions completely exceeded expectations. He was honestly shocked.

What had Seiryū done exactly?

He had shattered a Great Fireball Technique with his bare fist?

”Is this the trump card you mentioned? As expected of you, Seiryū. But the match isn’t over yet!”

The spar wasn’t finished. Kakashi suppressed the shock in his heart, his gaze sharpening as he pushed off the ground and charged forward again. The wooden short blade in his hand slashed horizontally toward Seiryū with deadly precision.

”You’d better be careful too. My fists aren’t easy to take.” Seiryū reacted swiftly, leaping back to avoid the horizontal slash of the wooden blade. Just as he was about to counterattack, another strike came slashing down from a tricky angle.

He was forced to dodge again!

Kakashi’s offense was relentless, with each strike following seamlessly. It wasn’t chaotic—on the contrary, it was extremely disciplined, fierce, and decisive!

Seiryū’s dynamic vision was excellent, and his awareness was sharp. He always reacted before the wooden blade could strike, dodging and parrying to avoid taking any hits.

In the arena, the two clashed fiercely. Compared to the earlier novice sparring matches, this was on another level. It was not only exciting to watch but also far more dangerous.

Their movements and attacks had already surpassed what was expected for their age. The surrounding students watched with pounding hearts and stunned faces.

These two were far beyond them.

So this is what genius looked like?

Many felt discouraged. Clearly, their earlier fights hadn’t even pushed these two to try...

Even Oda was astonished. He muttered, ”These two... already have the level of a Genin. They really are geniuses...”

At five or six years old, still first-year students at the Academy, yet they already possessed Genin-level skill.

He couldn’t help but recall that during his own time at the Academy, there had also been a genius who reached Genin-level ability at this age—Minato Namikaze, now a Jōnin.

He saw the shadow of Minato in both Seiryū and Kakashi.

A bit troublesome. I still lack real combat experience... Seiryū tilted his body to dodge a horizontal slash, thinking quickly.

Due to the lack of experience, Seiryū had mostly been evading and rarely went on the offensive.

I need to disrupt his rhythm and create an opening!

His thoughts moved fast. Kakashi’s attacks were continuous and precise. If he wanted to break through, he needed to shatter that rhythm!

With that, Seiryū dodged again, then pushed off the ground and rushed forward in one step, closing the gap between them.

”Take this punch!”

With a low shout, Seiryū threw a punch that whistled through the air toward Kakashi. Despite its small size, the fist carried frightening power, enough to send someone flying over ten meters!

This was a serious strike!!

”…” Kakashi didn’t dare take it head-on. If he got hit by the same punch that shattered a Great Fireball Technique, the outcome was clear.

Having already mastered the Body Flicker Technique, Kakashi had decent speed, and his reaction time was strong. He could move almost instantly.

Moreover, such a wide and forceful swing meant that if Seiryū missed, there would be a brief opening. This was a chance for him!

Swish!

His figure flashed as he swiftly dodged to Seiryū’s left, then raised his blade and slashed down again. The wooden blade sliced through the air with a whistling sound.

He took the bait… Seiryū smirked slightly. Sure enough, he was still just a brat—he also lacked combat experience.

He didn’t even realize the ”opening” Seiryū had shown was deliberate. Seiryū was the real hunter.

Clap!

A wooden blade was still just a wooden blade. It didn’t have strong cutting power. Seiryū wrapped Chakra around his left hand and grabbed the descending weapon. It stung a little, but he could handle it.

”Got you!” Seiryū gripped the wooden blade tightly and yanked. Kakashi lost his balance, stumbling forward.

In that instant, Seiryū clenched his right fist and swung it down, giving Kakashi no time to react!

”Oh no...” Kakashi hadn’t expected Seiryū to react so quickly. The punch was already flying at his chest, and he cursed inwardly.

But he wasn’t just going to stand there and take it!

He let go of the hilt with his right hand and crossed his arms in front of his chest, preparing to absorb the punch head-on.

It was all he could do. There wasn’t time to dodge!

Bang!!

It felt like getting struck by a hammer. The pain shot through Kakashi’s arms, then traveled to his chest as the impact forced his arms backward.

He groaned from the pain, and his body was sent flying.

Fortunately, he had blocked and dispersed some of the force. It hurt, but he hadn’t lost just yet!

Gritting his teeth through the pain, Kakashi flipped midair and landed steadily. But he couldn’t help gasping—it seriously hurt!!

But before Kakashi could catch his breath, he heard a dull thud. His instincts kicked in, and he looked up, only to see a fist rapidly zooming into view…

Seiryū naturally wouldn’t let such an opportunity slip. When Kakashi was sent flying, he immediately burst Chakra beneath his feet, cracking the ground, and used the force to accelerate.

He didn’t know if this counted as a variation of the Body Flicker Technique. He hadn’t learned it yet. But this method significantly boosted his speed in a straight-line charge.

This hit was guaranteed to land. The winner had already been decided!
