Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Meeting Minato and Kushina was only a small interlude.

At most, it could be considered making acquaintances. Seiryū and Kurenai said their goodbyes, and the two of them ate dango while walking toward the Yūhi family residence.

Seiryū had already revealed his identity, implying that he might be a member of the Uzumaki clan.

They would definitely have more contact in the future. Seiryū had no intention of letting go of these two influential figures.

Both of them possessed many ninjutsu that interested Seiryū.

The various sealing techniques and secret arts of the Uzumaki clan, Minato’s Rasengan, the Flying Thunder God Technique, and more. Meanwhile, watching the two children walk away, Kushina stroked her chin, glanced at her boyfriend beside her, and asked, ”Minato, do you think Seiryū is an Uzumaki clan member?”

The Uzumaki clan did not possess a distinct bloodline limit.

If they had anything resembling one, it would be their formidable vitality and recovery ability. Their external traits were hard to distinguish, so she could not be sure whether Seiryū was from the Uzumaki clan.

Minato was not completely certain either, but he replied, ”It’s possible. Even though Seiryū is still young, based on my perception, his chakra reserves far exceed those of his peers.”

”But it’s hard to confirm. There are also many geniuses whose chakra far surpasses others of the same age. We can only ask the Hokage for the details.”

Whether he was or was not, the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, should know the answer.

”That’s right. That old man must know something. Hmph, if he really is an Uzumaki, that old man actually didn’t tell me.”

”Haha, maybe now isn’t the right time.”

Minato already had some guesses in his heart about Seiryū’s background.

If that was the case, then Seiryū might be the jinchūriki the village planned to focus on training next.

Not just anyone could become a jinchūriki, and those with Uzumaki blood were undoubtedly the most suitable candidates. Jinchūriki. Minato glanced at Kushina and sighed inwardly.

Becoming a jinchūriki was certainly not a good thing. Kushina was often startled awake by the interference of the Nine Tailed’s malevolent chakra within her body.

Even worse, she had completely lost her freedom and was frequently confined within sealing barriers.

Kushina pouted and said, ”I don’t care whether it’s the right time or not. I’ll go ask that old man later. If he really is one of us, then I’ll have a younger brother from the same clan.”

She was not lonely. Minato was always by her side.

But if she had another clansman, she would naturally be very happy.

More importantly, Seiryū, that little kid, was very cute, and his overly mature demeanor was quite amusing.

Minato doted on her and chuckled. ”Alright, alright. I’ll go with you later.”

…

Back home.

Seiryū did not slack off and continued his daily training.

He would not rely solely on the system. The system was too abstract, triggered too few missions, and offered too few rewards.

There were many ways to become stronger, and relying on himself was also a path.

With his outstanding talent, he could not afford to waste it. Becoming a wounded prodigy was unacceptable. He had to work hard.

After nearly a month of chakra extraction, the amount of chakra stored in Seiryū’s body was already considerable.

According to Uncle Shinku, he had reached the level of an average Genin.

To possess this level of chakra after only a month of extraction confirmed one thing. Seiryū was a descendant of the Uzumaki clan.

At this moment, in front of the wooden stake in the backyard.

Seiryū took a deep breath, his eyes blazing with intensity.

He mobilized the chakra within his body, causing it to erupt from the acupoints in his fist. At the instant he threw the punch, the chakra surged explosively, applying the striking method of Bakudo Number One, Void.

Boom.

His punch landed on the wooden stake, producing a deafening impact.

The single blow shattered the stake completely. Wood fragments flew in all directions and scattered across the ground.

Shaking his slightly aching right fist, Seiryū frowned. ”It’s still not perfect. The rebound force is still injuring my fist.”

Seiryū had tried to combine the striking method of Sai with chakra application techniques, attempting to replicate the Monster Strength Fist used by Tsunade of the Sannin.

The results were quite impressive.

However, it had not reached perfection. He could not fully offset the recoil from the attack.

Although it no longer resulted in the bloody mess he experienced the first time, he was still getting injured, just not as severely.

He did not continue practicing. Instead, Seiryū sat on the steps and fell into thought. ”This shouldn’t be happening. With my talent, how could a month pass without me perfecting it? What am I missing?”

No matter what he studied, Seiryū learned quickly and displayed exceptional talent.

After nearly a month of experimentation without fully perfecting the Monster Strength Fist, it felt illogical.

”Could it be that my body is still too weak?”

Looking at his small arms and legs, Seiryū wondered if his physical condition was the issue.

After all, he was still growing. There had to be some limitations.

If it was not a problem with comprehension, then his body must be lacking.

”Even though the Monster Strength Fist is a chakra application technique, it should also be related to physical conditioning. After all, it involves the fist. It is a form of taijutsu, a hard striking style.”

Seiryū broadened his thinking and continued to ponder.

”Wait, taijutsu?”

At that moment, his eyes lit up.

That’s right. Taijutsu. How could he have overlooked this?

The Monster Strength Fist was taijutsu enhanced with chakra. It was definitely not as simple as throwing a punch and forcing chakra to explode on impact.

The explosive release of chakra only amplified the power of the strike.

Even without chakra, Tsunade’s punches would not be weak.

As for taijutsu, Seiryū had not begun learning it at all.

The Ninja Academy curriculum was still in its foundational stage, teaching only basic theory, exercises, general knowledge, and history.

Shurikenjutsu had only started being taught in the past few days, and today was the first practical lesson.

The curriculum progressed step by step.

If the Monster Strength Fist required both taijutsu fundamentals and physical conditioning, then it was only natural that Seiryū, who had not even learned basic taijutsu and whose physique was lacking, could not perfect it.

”Maybe that’s really it. Taijutsu and physical conditioning.”

After arriving at this conclusion, excitement flashed in Seiryū’s eyes.

Figuring out the Monster Strength Fist on his own gave him a strong sense of accomplishment.

After all, without guidance, cultivating and perfecting it by himself was no less difficult than creating it from scratch.

He truly was capable.

”Uncle Shinku definitely knows basic taijutsu. I’ll practice with him first. Training basic taijutsu should also improve my physical conditioning, killing two birds with one stone.”

Seiryū decided that he would begin training in basic taijutsu.

Although the Ninja Academy would eventually teach it as the curriculum advanced, Seiryū was a bit impatient.

He wanted to complete and perfect the technique that had stumped him for nearly a month as soon as possible. Otherwise, it would continue to weigh on his mind.

Perhaps this was a form of obsessive fixation.
