Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

To be honest.

Quite a few people were interested in the ”notebook” that Obito had bought from Seiryū, and they would occasionally glance in his direction. These included Kakashi, Asuma, Genma, Ebisu, and others.

Rin was also among them.

Seeing Obito scratching his head and looking completely distressed, the young girl could not help feeling curious.

Taking advantage of the break, she turned around and softly spoke to Obito, who was sitting behind her. ”Obito-kun, may I take a look at those problems?”

Rin’s gentle voice entered Obito’s ears. The moment he heard it, the gloomy expression on his face vanished, as if all negative effects had been cleansed at once.

He nodded hurriedly. ”O of course you can.”

But then he suddenly remembered something and scratched his head. ”Ah, wait. I should ask Seiryū first. I can only show them to you after getting his permission.”

This was an unspoken rule.

In Konoha, knowledge was considered private property.

Just like unique ninjutsu taught by a teacher, it could not be passed on to others without the consent of the owner.

”That’s true.” Rin stuck out her tongue and blushed slightly.

She had been too curious and forgot that this kind of thing required Seiryū’s permission. She did not mean it intentionally.

Rin’s cute reaction made Obito’s heart race. He immediately said, ”Then I’ll go ask Seiryū.”

He quickly ran over and asked.

”Yes. As long as you don’t copy them, you can show them to anyone,” Seiryū replied, clearly not bothered by it.

This was also a form of promotion, wasn’t it?

If the problems really improved grades, others might also buy copies from him.

By then, everyone in the class would have one. No, aiming even higher, everyone in the entire Ninja Academy could have one.

Wouldn’t that make him a fortune?

As for the possibility of the problems being copied and spread, Seiryū did not think that would happen.

During this time, he had learned that Konoha actually had something similar to intellectual property protection.

Ordinary people would not pirate knowledge, as that was considered theft. If caught, they would be invited to Anbu for a chat. The crime was not serious, but it was extremely embarrassing.

The village was small, and word spread quickly. It would be impossible to face others afterward.

Returning to his seat, Obito excitedly shared the good news. ”Rin, Seiryū said others can look at it as long as they don’t copy it. I’ve already solved a few problems. We can discuss them together.”

Just moments ago, he had hated the idea of grinding problems and secretly cursed himself for buying the notebook.

Now, however, he felt only excitement and relief.

Being able to talk with Rin was wonderful.

”Oh, thank you, Obito-kun.” Rin smiled sweetly. She really was curious about Seiryū’s problems.

If they truly helped improve grades, she felt she could buy a copy as well.

Her grades were not bad, but they were only upper middle tier and could not compare to true geniuses. Still, she wanted to work hard and not slack off.

”Hehe…” Obito scratched his head, his heart nearly melting. This feeling was incredible.

He handed the notebook to Rin. ”Rin, you look first.”

”Okay, thank you.” Rin nodded gently and took the notebook, examining it carefully.

Her grades were better than Obito’s, so she did not find the simpler problems at the beginning difficult.

She also noticed the few questions Obito had worked on during class.

They were all wrong.

She felt too embarrassed to point it out and decided to let him discover it himself. Rin was very considerate.

As she continued reading, her delicate eyebrows soon knitted together.

Starting from around the tenth problem, she began to struggle, looking completely puzzled.

”The difficulty is very high. This shouldn’t be material that first year students are supposed to learn. Seiryū-kun really is a genius.”

Although she did not show the same level of admiration for Seiryū as some of the other girls, she was still curious about him.

After all, someone who was good looking and academically outstanding was bound to attract attention from peers of the opposite sex.

”Maybe I should also buy a copy from Seiryū-kun. It really does seem helpful for improving grades.”

Rin thought about it seriously.

The price was not expensive. Her family could afford the cost of a C rank ninjutsu scroll.

Handing the notebook back to Obito, Rin smiled gently. ”Thank you, Obito-kun. If someone can understand these problems, they will be very helpful for grades. I plan to buy a copy from Seiryū-kun as well.”

”Oh, is that so?” Obito actually wanted to look at the notebook together with Rin.

But he was too shy to say it.

Thinking of a way to interact more with her, he stammered, ”Then, then we can discuss the problems together more often in the future. Solving them together should be faster than doing it alone, and we can compare answers.”

”Hm.” Rin was gentle by nature and did not reject his suggestion. She smiled softly. ”That sounds good. That really would be better.”

Obito immediately became excited. ”R really? I’ll work hard to solve them.”

Not wanting to hurt his confidence, Rin simply smiled and nodded. ”Mhm.”

Class resumed, then ended. Break time came.

”Hello, Seiryū kun.”

Rin, having decided to buy the problems, walked up to Seiryū’s desk. She blinked her bright eyes and noticed that Seiryū looked even better up close.

Her voice was soft and gentle. ”May I also buy a copy of the problems from you? I feel they would be very helpful to me.”

”Rin wants one too?” Looking at her, Seiryū thought that her cuteness was no less than Kurenai’s.

Both of them were adorable little girls.

Especially the two markings on Rin’s cheeks, which made her even cuter.

As a businessman, with business coming to his door, how could Seiryū refuse?

He smiled brightly. ”Of course. I still have copies, and the price is the same as Obito kun’s.”

”Fair pricing for everyone. No one loses out, and no one gets cheated. If you can’t solve them, I even provide two after sales services.”

”After sales service?” Rin tilted her head curiously. ”Does that mean explaining the answers, like a teacher would?”

Seiryū showed the benevolent smile of a cunning merchant. ”Exactly. Isn’t that thoughtful? But the after sales service is limited to two times.”

That was right.

Selling the problems was only the first step. The second step was selling the methods to solve them, which cost extra.

As for some of the later problems, even adults might not be able to solve them, let alone first year students.

Making money?

Seiryū declared that he was a professional.
