Chapter 677: Chapter 678: Making the Boss Back Down

As Lin Chen and Sophina walked toward the door, the others followed as well.

Some were worried about them, but most wanted to see them embarrassed.

Kai Ming approached Su Ha and whispered, ”How is it? Is everything arranged?”

Su Ha nodded, ”Don’t worry, I’ve arranged it all. Lin Chen is dead today.”

A cold gleam appeared in Kai Ming’s eyes, ”Good, he dares to hit me, I’ll show him what I’m capable of.”

Lin Chen and Sophina reached the door and saw that it was crowded with people.

Red Hair hurriedly pointed out, ”Boss, it’s this guy.”

Wearing sunglasses and clenching a cigar in his mouth, Ba Fei snorted, ”Damn it, I want to see who has the guts to mess with my men on my turf.”

At this moment, the executives of the Sophina Group gathered at the door, visibly shocked by the mob of ruffians blocking it.

Sophina’s face grew uglier by the moment, as a girl, this scene also made her tremble inside.

However, for some reason, when Lin Chen took her hand, her originally nervous heart suddenly calmed down.

Ba Fei looked disdainfully at Lin Chen, but he froze when he clearly saw the people inside, accidentally dropping the cigar from his mouth.

Unaware of the despair on Ba Fei’s face behind him, Red Hair kept rambling, ”Boss, this jerk hurt several of our brothers. If we don’t teach him a lesson today, how can we hold our ground here in the future?”

All the executives of the Sophina Group turned pale, feeling that Lin Chen was doomed, and so was the Sophina Group.

Su Ha and Kai Ming wore cold smiles, waiting to see Lin Chen be brutally taken apart.

Lin Chen’s eyes skipped over Red Hair and directly landed on the trembling Ba Fei.

”Who do I have here? If it isn’t Brother Ba Fei himself, oh dear, my little heart is trembling already,” Lin Chen said, patting his chest.

The executives of the Sophina Group cursed inwardly, criticising his bluffing, now turning into a coward. If he had known to be afraid, why did he act earlier?

”Slap!”

Suddenly, a loud slap rang out, startling everyone.

Because Ba Fei hadn’t hit Lin Chen but his own man, Red Hair.

Red Hair covered his face, looking baffled at Ba Fei.

”Boss, you hit the wrong person, you should hit that jerk!” Red Hair said, covering his face and pointing at Lin Chen.

”Damn it? Do you want to die without dragging me into this? Did Mr. Lin offend you?”

Saying this, Ba Fei swung his hands, slapping left and right.

”You go collecting protection money from legitimate businesses, do you have any humanity left?”

”Slap, slap, slap!”

”I told you to collect protection money, to offend Mr. Lin, today I’m going to kill you for this!”

Suddenly, the sound of slaps rang loudly at the entrance of the Sophina Group company.

Having been slapped several times by Ba Fei, Red Hair’s face was already swollen like a pig’s head.

The executives of the Sophina Group were stunned, having never seen such a righteous gangster before.

The ruffians following Ba Fei were also dumbfounded; usually, their boss constantly lectured them about collecting more protection money. Why this sudden change of heart today?

After slapping Red Hair more than a dozen times, Ba Fei then approached Lin Chen with a respectful expression, ”Mr. Lin, this younger brother of mine was blind and offended you, are you satisfied with this?”

Lin Chen’s expression turned cold, ”I’ve finally found a decent job, and you bring people to ruin my place, do you think I could be satisfied?”

”I was wrong, Mr. Lin, I really didn’t know it was you. If I had known, not even with several boosts of courage would I dare to come!” Ba Fei said with a mournful expression.

Seeing Ba Fei’s demeanor in front of Lin Chen, the executives of Sophina Group were all stunned.

Many of them had heard of Ba Fei’s name; he was a notorious heavy who killed without blinking. Yet, in front of Lin Chen, he was like a submissive dog.

Those who had laughed at Lin Chen now looked at him with a hint of fear in their eyes.

These people were not fools. Someone who could subdue a notorious thug could not be an ordinary person.

Su Ha was even more dumbfounded at this moment. He had thought that bringing Ba Fei would get Lin Chen defeated, but he had never dreamed that Ba Fei would act like a mouse seeing a cat upon meeting Lin Chen.

Lin Chen snorted coldly, his gaze frosty as he stared at Red Hair.

At this moment, Red Hair finally realized that he had offended someone formidable, and he knelt before Lin Chen with a thud.

”Mr. Lin, I realize my mistake, I was blind not to recognize Mount Tai, please just let me go like a fart,” Red Hair said, his voice trembling.

Lin Chen stared coldly at Red Hair, ”I can let you go, but you must answer my questions truthfully.”

At hearing Lin Chen relent, Red Hair quickly responded with a joyful expression, ”Mr. Lin, just ask away. I will tell the truth about anything I know.”

Lin Chen nodded, ”Remember, every word you say must be true. If I discover you’re lying, you’re dead today.”

”I know, I wouldn’t dare lie in front of Mr. Lin,” Red Hair quickly nodded.

”Who sent you to collect protection money at Sophina Group?” Lin Chen asked coldly.

Upon hearing Lin Chen’s words, Red Hair glanced at the crowd and gritted his teeth, ”It was your company’s Su Ha. He told me to bring my guys to collect protection money. He said a new security director had taken his place, so he wanted me to help get rid of that person.”

At Red Hair’s words, the executives of Sophina Group were in an uproar.

All eyes fell on Su Ha.

At this moment, Su Ha’s face turned ashen, ”You’re talking nonsense, I don’t even know you.”

Upon hearing Su Ha’s denial, Red Hair scoffed, ”You don’t know me? My phone has our call records.”

Feeling the icy stares of Sophina Group’s executives, Su Ha’s face turned pale, knowing his end had come today.

”Su Ha, well done, now do you have anything else to say?” Sophina stared coldly at Su Ha.

Su Ha’s face was pale, ”I, I...”

”Su Ha, you are fired. Effective immediately, you are no longer an employee of Sophina Group,” Sophina said coldly.

”A treacherous scoundrel.”

”It turns out all of this was his own doing; it’s disgusting,” the executives of Sophina Group murmured curses.

At this moment, Su Ha looked like a dog that had lost its home. He turned his gaze to Kai Ming, hoping Kai Ming would help him.

However, Kai Ming didn’t even glance at him.

Su Ha gritted his teeth and said, ”It was all Kai Ming’s doing. I was acting under his orders.”

At Su Ha’s words, the crowd was again in an uproar.

”You bastard, what are you talking about? Don’t falsely accuse others, it’s obvious it was your own doing,” Kai Ming furiously shouted.

Seeing the two men turn on each other, Lin Chen’s lips curled into a faint smile.

Lin Chen looked at Red Hair, who was kneeling before him, and smiled faintly, ”Do you want to live?”

Red Hair nodded vigorously, ”Mr. Lin, please, let me go.”

”Fine, I can let you go, but you have to cripple him, otherwise, it will be you who gets crippled,” Lin Chen pointed at Su Ha and said.
