Chapter 676: Chapter 677: Beat Me Hard

Watching Lin Chen pull out a ten yuan bill, the red-haired leader’s face suddenly turned ugly.

”Kid, are you messing with me?”

Lin Chen said seriously, ”Of course not, I sincerely gave the money to you.”

”You’re asking for it! Ten yuan, you think you’re tipping a beggar?” Red Hair scoffed and tore the money in Lin Chen’s hand to shreds.

Lin Chen, seeing his money ripped up by the thug, his expression changed slightly, ”Hey, you tear up my money, there’s a price to pay.”

”Price? What can you do even if I tore your money?” Red Hair said coldly.

Lin Chen smiled faintly and suddenly slapped him across the face.

”Smack!” With a crisp sound, Red Hair was sent flying.

Lin Chen snorted coldly and said to the security guards behind him, ”Beat them hard.”

Hearing Lin Chen’s order, the security guards, eager to try, drew out their batons and pounced on the gangsters.

These gangsters had always been arrogant and domineering in this area, and these security guards were always angry but didn’t dare to speak out. Today, with Lin Chen’s order, they were all spirited.

Su Ha saw this scene and a cold smile appeared on the corner of his mouth.

This was the effect he wanted; as long as Lin Chen and the gangsters had a conflict, he was confident he could pull Lin Chen down from his position.

The gangsters were typically very aggressive, but this group of security guards was well-trained, with many of them being military veterans, and they clearly had the advantage in numbers on their side.

So when the two sides met, the security guards quickly gained an overwhelming advantage, and the gangsters were beaten and ran away with their tails between their legs.

Red Hair was also beaten until his face swelled up terribly.

Pointing at Lin Chen, he roared viciously, ”Kid, just you wait, this isn’t over.”

Lin Chen snorted, ”Sure, I’ll be waiting.”

Watching the gangsters leave, Su Ha approached, ”Director Lin, how could you let the security guards hit those thugs? They are not someone we can afford to provoke.”

Lin Chen said lightly, ”They bullied us first; why can’t we fight back?”

”Director Lin, you may not know, but this Red Hair is a subordinate of Big Fly from the Northern District. If you hit their people, he won’t let this go,” Su Ha pretended to be deeply concerned.

”You seem to know quite a lot about this Red Hair, don’t worry, I was the one who hit them, and I will take responsibility if they come seeking retribution,” Lin Chen said lightly.

”You probably can’t bear such responsibility,” Su Ha snorted coldly and turned to head towards the office building.

”Director Lin, have we caused trouble?” Slim asked worriedly.

Lin Chen smiled faintly, ”Everyone did well; I’ll treat you all to dinner tonight.”

Lead the security guards back to the office, and soon received a call from Heidi, ”Director Lin, the president wants you in the meeting room for a meeting.”

A cold smile crossed Lin Chen’s mouth, without thinking, it was definitely that guy Su Ha snitching on him.

”Okay, I’ll be right there,” Lin Chen hung up and headed for the meeting room.

All the company’s executives were in the meeting room, and Su Ha was also seated at the meeting table.

Seeing Lin Chen come in, Sophina wore a cold expression.

Lin Chen looked at the meeting table, where both rows were already filled with people, and his spot was occupied by Su Ha too, whether it was intentional or not, these people had not left a seat for him.

Looking around, the only space was next to President Sophina, he pulled up a chair and walked over, sitting down right beside the president.

Seeing this scene, everyone was stunned.

Since the company was founded, no one had dared to sit next to the president.

After sitting down, Lin Chen said somewhat embarrassedly, ”Sorry for keeping everyone waiting, shall we start the meeting then?”

Sophina glanced at Lin Chen beside her and said coldly without speaking, ”Lin Chen, did you just get into a fight with the security guards and some thugs?”

After hearing this, Lin Chen glanced at Su Ha; it was clear that this guy had snitched on him.

”Madam President, your choice of words is inaccurate, it wasn’t a fight, I was protecting the company’s property,” Lin Chen said calmly.

”Director Lin, you clearly had guards beating up those thugs without a word after they came to collect protection money,” Su Ha huffed coldly.

Lin Chen, feeling wronged, replied, ”Minister Su Ha, you can’t wrong me like this. I clearly paid them the protection money, but he tore it up.”

As he spoke, it seemed like Lin Chen suddenly remembered something, ”Madam President, those thugs tore up my ten dollars just now, can I get reimbursed for that?”

”They came to extort protection money, and you gave them ten dollars?” Sophina’s pretty face turned red with anger after hearing Lin Chen’s words.

”I gave them all the money I had, but he still ripped it up,” Lin Chen said with deep dissatisfaction on his face.

”You, Lin Chen, do you know who those thugs are? They’re all scoundrels, and after you’ve provoked them, how is the company supposed to operate? Do you realize the magnitude of the trouble you’ve caused?” Kai Ming slammed the table and said coldly.

Lin Chen’s gaze turned cold as he looked at Kai Ming, ”Was it just a few thugs we fought? What are you yelling for? Are those thugs your biological fathers?”

”You!” Kai Ming was rendered speechless by Lin Chen.

At this moment, Karl said coldly, ”President Sophina, Lin Chen has caused such a big problem and brought immeasurable losses to the company. I don’t think he’s fit for the position of Head of Security anymore.”

”Exactly, after offending that gang, our employees have no security commuting to and from work. If they cause trouble at our company’s doorstep every day, how can we operate? Lin Chen, you must take responsibility.”

The executives unanimously condemned Lin Chen, painting him as the company’s sinner beyond redemption.

Sophina looked at Lin Chen coldly, ”You’ve disappointed me greatly.”

Just as she was about to announce Lin Chen’s dismissal, a security guard ran in, panicked.

”President, it’s bad! A bunch of thugs have arrived at the door, and their boss Ba Fei is demanding to see you. Otherwise, they’re threatening to smash our company,” the guard said with a tense expression.

Upon hearing the guard’s words, everyone in the room was shocked.

”Lin Chen, this is all your fault, see how these thugs have come knocking!” Karl pointed at Lin Chen, fuming with rage.

”Exactly, like a rotten fish spoiling the whole pot”

At this point, Su Ha stood up, ”Everyone, I’ve dealt with a small leader of the thugs, they should give me some face. If we hand over Lin Chen and then compensate them, they should leave us alone.”

”That’s why we need Minister Su Ha!”

”Exactly, this kind of thing never happened when Su Ha was the minister.”

The shareholders immediately began to flatter Su Ha.

”No, we can’t hand over Lin Chen,” said Sophina, surprisingly rejecting Su Ha’s suggestion.

”President Sophina, I remind you, don’t destroy the company for your own selfish desires,” Kai Ming said coldly.

Then Lin Chen stood up, ”It’s just a bunch of little thugs, look how scared you all are.”

Grabbing Sophina’s hand, Lin Chen said, ”Come on, let me take you to meet those little thugs!”
