Chapter 667: Chapter 668: Impeachment of the President

Zhou Hua was personally groomed by Sophina for the position, an honest person who, in principle, would never do such a thing, and yet, how could he make such a mistake this time.

”But Zhou Hua said it was only after you assured him there was no problem with the goods that he agreed to import them,” Sophina said, staring at Kai Ming.

”Where’s the evidence? He’s framing me; I never said such a thing,” Kai Ming retorted with a sneer.

Hearing Kai Ming’s sophistry, Sophina’s pretty face turned red with anger, but indeed, she was utterly helpless.

Besides, Zhou Hua truly had no way to prove that Kai Ming had uttered those words.

Kai Ming snorted coldly, ”Sophina, since you’ve made a mistake, you must bear the responsibility. We believe you’re no longer suitable to be the president.”

”What did you say?” Sophina’s face slightly changed.

Kai Ming continued, ”With the old man overseeing things, we felt reassured to entrust the company to you, but now, with the old man just having fallen ill, this incident has occurred. If we continue to let you serve as president, the company will surely collapse.”

Wearing a smug smile, Kai Ming snorted and added, ”We, the major shareholders, have already unanimously decided to have Carl become the president of the company.”

Looking at the other few shareholders who were sitting silent and heads down in the shareholders’ seats, Sophina’s gaze narrowed slightly; it was clear that these people had premeditated the move, taking advantage of her grandfather’s illness to seize power.

”Carl, you want to take my position?” Sophina turned to look at Carl sitting next to her.

With an awkward smile, Carl replied, ”Sophina, I’m doing this for the good of the company. Although the company’s performance under your leadership has been decent, you’re somewhat underqualified and inexperienced for the president’s position. I think it’s better for you to get more experience.”

”That’s right, Carl is a Harvard Economics Ph.D. and has spent a few years honing his skills in America’s Silicon Valley. With him as president, our company will certainly reach new heights,” Kai Ming said, chiming in.

Hearing Kai Ming’s words, Sophina’s eyes narrowed, ”Are you few trying to seize power while my grandfather is ill?”

Kai Ming scoffed, ”That’s not the way to put it, actually, what we’re doing is for the good of the company.”

”My position as president was personally appointed by my grandfather, and unless he himself agrees, you have no right to dismiss me,” Sophina said indignantly.

Kai Ming snorted coldly, ”Your grandfather is now in a coma, which gives us full authority to remove you.”

Carl’s eyes revealed a sinister smile, ”Sophina, I think it’s better for you to step down willingly; that way, it won’t look too bad for you. If you keep clinging to this position, it won’t look good for you if we vote you out.”

Hearing Carl’s words, Sophina’s expression grew increasingly gloomy; it was clear that these people were confident enough to suddenly challenge her, and moreover, the outcome was beyond her control.

”These bastards, showing their true colors as soon as grandpa fell into a coma.”

”Well, have you thought about it?” Carl said coldly.

Sophina stood up with an ugly look on her face, ”It seems you’ve already conspired together, taking advantage of grandpa’s illness to force me out of the president’s position...”

Bang!

Just then, the conference room door was suddenly kicked open, and Lin Chen stormed in, interrupting Sophina’s words.

”Damn it, how dare a bunch of you big men bully my wife!”

Witnessing this scene, the few in the conference room were stunned, Carl stood up in a fury, ”Who the hell are you? Don’t you see the directors are having a meeting? Get the hell out of here.”

Lin Chen looked at Carl, whose face was filled with anger, and his mouth twisted into a malicious smile, ”So you’re the ringleader who got these old guys to gang up on my wife?”

”You, what are you going to do? Let me tell you, this is the Sophina family’s meeting room, who let you in?”

Watching Lin Chen approach with murderous aura, Carl felt nearly suffocated under the pressure of that momentum.

”Slap!”

A loud slap landed on Carl’s face.

Immediately, Carl was sent flying from his chair to the ground by Lin Chen. At this moment, Carl looked wretched with his glasses fallen off and his mouth swollen badly.

”You, you dare to hit me? I am a shareholder of the Sophina Group, have you eaten the guts of a bear and a leopard?” Carl said, fuming with rage.

”Slap!” Another slap struck his face.

”Damn it! I hit you to let you know that you’re a shareholder of the Sophina Group, in other words, you’re just a dog of the Sophina Group. Damn it! The master has fed you well, and now you’re biting back at the master,” said Lin Chen coldly.

At that moment, the meeting room was as silent as death, with everyone’s gaze falling on this uninvited guest, looking at Carl’s pitiful state, and feeling a chill in their hearts.

”Holy shit, who is this kid dressed in cheap street clothes? He even dares to hit the future president, damn, that’s too arrogant.”

”Bastard, where did you pop out from to assault a shareholder of the group? Have you no respect for the law anymore? Call security, grab this brat, beat him to death for me,” Kai Ming shouted angrily as he stood up, pointing at Lin Chen and berating him.

Lin Chen narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze cold and mocking as he stared at Kai Ming.

”So, it was you who framed my wife, right? Damn it, you even conspired to impeach my wife; it seems you’re looking for death.”

After hearing Lin Chen’s words, the people finally realized who this unexpected youngster was referring to as his wife – it was Sophina.

However, the crowd was instantly baffled. Sophina was known for being cold and unapproachable. Countless wealthy heirs in Manchester wanted to date her, but she wouldn’t even spare them a glance, so how could she have taken a liking to this guy?

Sophina, watching Lin Chen, couldn’t help but have a blush appear on her face. She never would have expected this man to show up here so dominantly today.

Kai Ming looked Lin Chen up and down and suddenly burst into laughter. ”Kid, aren’t you afraid your tongue will snap in the wind? With your looks, you dare to claim Sophina as your wife, do you even deserve her?”

”Slap!”

To everyone’s surprise, before Kai Ming had finished his sentence, another loud slap rang out.

Kai Ming’s chubby cheek instantly bore the mark of five fingers, and a trickle of blood also spilled from the corner of his mouth. He stood there utterly dumbfounded, never having imagined that this man would resort to violence without another word.

”Damn it, you were the one who started the commotion just now, what does the matter with my wife have to do with you? You were born with a face begging to be hit. Not hitting you would be an injustice to that cheap look of yours,” Lin Chen said as he suddenly kicked the leg of a chair.

Bang!

The chair Kai Ming was sitting on collapsed instantly, and his bulky body rolled to the ground like a ball.

Just as Lin Chen was about to rush over and give Kai Ming a severe thrashing, a cold voice suddenly rang out from behind him.

”Lin Chen, that’s enough!” Sophina glared at Lin Chen, a hint of ice on her face.
