Super Strong Little Divine Farmer

Chapter 634: Chapter 635: Old Pei Lai’s Counterattack

Lin Chen had just entered the valley when he started to speed up, and sure enough, the large truck relentlessly pursued him from behind.

When Lin Chen accelerated to forty miles per hour, so did the truck; when Lin Chen pushed to sixty, the truck matched his speed as well.

The large truck was in relentless pursuit, closely following the jeep.

Soon, Lin Chen pushed the jeep to eighty miles per hour, the two vehicles speeding along the winding mountain road in the valley.

One must know that mountain roads are extremely steep, and reaching sixty miles per hour is usually the limit; eighty miles per hour, especially in the rain, is absolutely suicidal.

In the large truck, Durri felt a rising anxiety. He knew that driving at eighty miles per hour on mountain roads was extremely dangerous for a large truck; losing control could easily result in both vehicle and human fatalities.

Durri kept his eyes fixed on the jeep in front, his eyes fierce with aggression. Up ahead was a sharp turn, and the jeep’s brakes had been sabotaged.

This meant that if Lin Chen didn’t slow down, he would likely plunge into the valley.

However, just then, Lin Chen’s jeep suddenly slowed down.

”How is this possible?”

Durri was instantly stunned. He had personally sabotaged the brake pads; how could it possibly slow down?

At this moment, Lin Chen’s vehicle was about to pass that sharp turn, the only place in the valley where the jeep could be knocked off the road.

Thinking of the bounty after killing Lin Chen, a fierce smirk crossed Durri’s face. He violently accelerated, preparing to ram the jeep from behind.

But just then, the jeep in front also sped up, increasing from forty to sixty miles per hour.

By now, Durri had already accelerated to eighty miles per hour, with less than ten meters between the two vehicles.

With just over twenty meters to the sharp turn of the valley, Durri gritted his teeth and muttered coldly, ”Die!”

Durri suddenly pushed his truck to ninety miles per hour, slamming into the rear of the jeep.

Once hit, the jeep would definitely be flipped into the valley, but just then, Lin Chen suddenly accelerated.

”Boom!”

Accompanied by the roar of the engine, Lin Chen suddenly brought his speed up to ninety miles per hour as well.

Durri could never have anticipated Lin Chen playing such a trick, especially when they were nearing a sharp turn. Accelerating at this distance was downright suicidal.

However, he soon found himself agape with shock as, just as their vehicles reached the sharp turn, the jeep suddenly made a sharp stop and drifted sideways across the bend.

”Damn, drifting!”

Durri watched in dismay as Lin Chen’s vehicle drifted through the sharp turn, but he wasn’t so lucky.

He was in a large truck that couldn’t possibly stop in time.

He had planned well, to hit Lin Chen’s car and then apply the brakes, using Lin Chen’s vehicle as a blockade to push it off the road while his own truck stayed on the path.

However, that blockade no longer existed, and without Lin Chen’s drifting skills, the large truck plunged head-long into the valley without hesitation.

”No!” Durri let out a scream of agony.

He could never have guessed, facing such a fast approaching sharp turn, how that jeep managed to make it across.

”Boom!”

Accompanied by a loud boom, the large truck crashed into the valley and burst into flames.

At that moment, Xiao Ru’s heart nearly leaped out of her chest.

She had thought herself dead for sure just moments before, only to find that Lin Chen had miraculously performed a drifting technique, not only making it through the sharp turn but also causing the pursuer’s vehicle to hit the cliff.

Lin Chen slowed down the car and glanced at the sea of fire in the valley, a cold smirk appearing at the corner of his mouth.

The identity of the other party was something Lin Chen had already guessed, almost accurately; thus, he did not stop to be a spectator but continued driving forward.

”How about that drift just now? Cool, right?” Lin Chen laughed.

”You really are reckless, turning the corner that sharply at such speed.” Xiao Ru said with lingering fear.

”If I hadn’t sped up just now, even if we didn’t go over ourselves, the car behind would have hit us off.” Lin Chen said with a faint smile.

Half an hour later, Lin Chen had already driven to headquarters.

Watching Xiao Ru leave the room, a fierce look appeared on Lin Chen’s face, ”Pei Lai, since you play dirty with me, I won’t be polite either!”

At that moment, Pei Lai was waiting for the news from Mauri, and by all accounts, Lin Chen should have been dead by now.

However, so much time had passed and there was still no news.

Lin Chen had foiled his plans several times, and now Pei Lai realized something; to eliminate Pei Lai-en and his old man, he must first remove Lin Chen, the thorn in his side.

Just then, the door was abruptly pushed open, and his underling Mauri entered with a distressed look.

”Boss, it’s bad news, Mauri is dead.”

”What?” Pei Lai stood up in shock.

”According to an eyewitness at the scene, Mauri’s car went off the cliff and then exploded. By the time the police arrived at the scene, Mauri had already been charred.”

”What about Lin Chen?” Pei Lai asked anxiously.

”He, he seems to be unharmed.” Mauri said, looking miserable.

”This idiot!” Pei Lai, infuriated, turned pale and slammed the wine glass in his hand onto the floor.

At that moment, a middle-aged man with a scar on his face barged in, ”Big brother, I heard Little Four is dead.”

”Yes, just got the news. He went to kill Lin Chen but was instead set up by Lin Chen and killed,” Pei Lai said with a bleak expression.

Mauri was one of his fierce warriors who had followed him for over a dozen years, and he hadn’t expected him to die so miserably.

”Big brother, we can’t let this go, we must avenge Little Four.” Gang Ba said furiously.

As the two discussed how to deal with Lin Chen, the phone suddenly rang. When Pei Lai answered, his face turned ugly instantly.

Half an hour ago, another of his fierce warriors, Tie Tou from the southern city, had died.

Tie Tou’s death was very odd, allegedly occurring while he was with a woman in a hotel room, dying in bed. The police claimed it was due to over-excitement and a sudden heart attack.

Pei Lai naturally didn’t believe such nonsense. Within just an hour, two of his four strongest men had died, almost making Pei Lai spew blood from the shock.

After all, the southern district is the most chaotic part of Manchester, with the largest area and the most followers under Tie Tou, representing a critical power in his control. Losing it could be an immeasurable loss.

”Gang Ba, let’s put dealing with Lin Chen on hold for now. You go to the southern district immediately and stabilize the situation. The northern district must not fall into chaos,” Pei Lai said with an ugly expression.

Pei Lai now sensed a dangerous vibe. The third brother and old Pei Lai had finally started to retaliate; clearly, killing Tie Tou was a signal.

Gang Ba nodded, ”Don’t worry, I’ll handle the southern district myself. It won’t become chaotic. If anyone dares to rebel, I’ll slaughter them myself.”

With that, Gang Ba and Norton, the second of the four strongest, took several reliable men and headed straight to the headquarters of the Tie Tou gang in the southern district.

The Tie Tou gang was already in chaos; after Tie Tou’s death, some of his underlings had declared independence and refused to follow orders, especially Lu Si, who declared his allegiance to Old Pei Lai.”

”Dare to join Old Pei Lai? That’s courting death. Take a few brothers, get his head; I’m going to make an example of him,” Gang Ba said furiously.
