Super Strong Little Divine Farmer

Chapter 611: Chapter 612: Lin Chen’s Doubts

Ice King looked at Lin Chen and scoffed coldly, ”Did you join the military’s special unit just for the life stone?”

Lin Chen nodded, ”Yes, it is very important to me. I need it to awaken the person I love.”

Ice King responded indifferently, ”Since you have defeated me, I can tell you what I know about the life stone.”

As he spoke, Ice King pointed behind him at the village and said, ”The village you are attacking now is my hometown. The villagers here are simple people who originally lived peacefully off their crop harvests, but then, a strange disease struck our villagers. People died every day.”

As he spoke, Ice King’s eyes filled with anger, ”One by one, families were destroyed, but to prevent the epidemic from spreading further, the military blockaded our village. Just when our people were enveloped by death, our savior Qing Peng arrived.”

”I was about to die from the infection when he appeared before me and placed a glowing stone on my chest. It not only restored my life but also activated the special abilities within me, granting me the attributes of ice and wind, turning me into a special ability wielder,” said Ice King, his expression filled with admiration.

”Was that glowing stone the life stone?” Lin Chen asked eagerly, his eyes lighting up.

Ice King nodded, ”Yes, that was indeed the life stone. It was with it that everyone in our village was reborn.”

”Although that person saved your lives, it was still wrong to involve you in drug trafficking. Do you realize how many people suffer because of drugs?” Lin Chen said coldly.

”Hahaha! Drugs do cause harm, but what could our village do? We couldn’t grow other crops, and the government ignored us! Moreover, the life stones used to treat the villagers required a lot of funding for research. We were planning to hold on for another year, gather enough funds to produce the last life stone, cure the remaining villagers, and then leave this place to start a new life in the special district where we could live openly and honorably,” Ice King said icily.

Just as he finished speaking, suddenly a rumbling explosion sounded from afar, and there was a blaze in the direction of the village.

”No!” Ice King let out a wail and without paying any more attention to Lin Chen, he ran frantically toward the village.

Lin Chen watched Ice King’s retreating figure and did not intercept him, because he felt deep inside that he should not stop this man. After all, his hometown was being ruthlessly destroyed by the military.

When Lin Chen arrived at the village, it was already engulfed in flames.

Emon and the members of Lin Chen’s team all stood before the fire, their eyes filled with a hint of mercy.

”Those bastards, they actually massacred the entire village,” Emon’s face looked incredibly grim.

Emon grabbed a commander and demanded, ”Who was it, who gave you the orders to do this?”

That commander struggled briefly and said coldly, ”We were following the General’s orders. Not a single person in the poison village must be spared.”

”Damn it!” Emon slapped the commander’s face.

Lin Chen looked at the thick flames and suddenly remembered something.

”Where’s Qing Peng? Did you catch him?” Lin Chen asked anxiously.

”No. We searched the entire village but couldn’t find Qing Peng,” the commander said.

At that moment, in the jungle, Ice King was rapidly moving through the trees, carrying a man covered in blood on his back.

”Put me down, save yourself,” the man on Ice King’s back uttered in a low voice.

”No, I can’t leave you,” Ice King stubbornly kept running.

Just then, he faltered in his steps and his gaze fixed on the figure standing before him.

The person smirked coldly, ”Qing Peng, long time no see. I never thought that when I would see you again, you’d be in such a sorry state.”

Seeing the person, Qing Peng’s expression hardened, ”Little Ice, don’t worry about me, just go.”

”Bastard, you killed everyone in our village, I want you dead,” Ice King emitted a chilling aura around him.

He placed Qing King under a tree, ”Qing King, wait for me, watch me avenge our village.”

”No, get away, you’re no match for him,” Qing Peng’s face suddenly turned pale.

However, by then Ice King had already gone mad, his hand forming an ice blade and the other a Wind Blade, as he pounced on the General like a bolt of lightning.

General Luo De watched Ice King charging at him, a slight smile curling the corners of his mouth.

”Die!” Ice King swung the ice blade and Wind Blade in his hands toward the General.

The two figures crossed paths, a flash of cold light, the General still standing where he was, apparently doing nothing.

However, Ice King suddenly stiffened, ”Such a swift blade.”

Pfft!

Blood spurted from his body, which was shockingly split into two halves.

Seeing this scene, Qing Peng’s face was filled with grief, ”Luo De, you wolf in human skin, you will face retribution.”

Yet before he could speak further, Luo De had already flashed before him, his blade falling swiftly.

Qing Peng’s head had already left his body.

Inside his body, a green light shone, which disappeared almost as quickly as it appeared, soon fading away.

When Lin Chen arrived, he only saw the two dead bodies on the ground and General Luo De standing there with his hands behind his back.

Upon seeing Lin Chen, Luo De’s face revealed a hint of a smile, ”Young man, you’re too late, these two chief culprits who intended to resist to the end have already been killed by me.”

Lin Chen felt a heavy heart upon seeing the corpses on the ground, the clue to the Stone of Life he had finally found had broken off once again.

”General, the people in this village may have dealt drugs, but their crimes did not deserve death. Why did you slaughter them all?” Lin Chen asked dissatisfied.

General Luo De looked at Lin Chen, his gaze hardening slightly, ”Do you know how many families drug traffickers have ruined? Do you understand the severity of the harm posed by such a drugged village? What I am doing is making an example to deter others who dare become rich through drugs, showing them our zero tolerance for drugs, and that we wipe out such villages once discovered.”

Hearing Luo De’s words, Lin Chen found himself at a loss for words.

Luo De walked up to Lin Chen and patted his shoulder, ”Young man, showing mercy to the wicked will harm more innocent people.”

At that moment, noisy footsteps approached, the army had arrived, and Luo De turned his back and left the forest.

Lin Chen watched Luo De’s retreating figure, filled with doubts. Although the General’s actions were somewhat excessive, they were not wrong.

While the words of Ice King accused the army of engaging in questionable activities, there was absolutely no evidence.

Of course, what most annoyed Lin Chen was that the clue to the Stone of Life had once again been lost.

Sitting in the car heading back to the city, Lin Chen was deeply troubled. An entire village had been slaughtered, and he was part of the operation, a feeling that was profoundly unsettling.

At that moment, Lin Chen’s phone suddenly rang. He answered the call, and it was Qima.

”Lin Chen, Lu Dong is dead,” came Qima’s somewhat heavy voice over the phone.
