Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

The core of this operation is to make it big and chaotic. Remember, without my order, no one should show themselves.

Understand?”

”Understand.”

”Understand.”

.....

Seeing everyone nodding in agreement, Brother Cheng was satisfied and nodded.

Qiu Yuanze opened the door and walked out.

He ran to a nearby factory building and found a team of Survivors who had escaped from the Southwest.

”Liu Wei, at three in the afternoon, remember to set off together. Make sure everyone goes. This Big Camphor Tree Base is really too much, with such discriminatory treatment. As long as our protest succeeds, your benefits will be plentiful.”

Liu Wei looked at Qiu Yuanze coming over and nodded, saying;

”Brother Qiu, don’t worry. It’s infuriating. We’re all Cooperative Personnel, yet we can’t enter the Satellite City. Damn!”

Seemingly having remembered something, he continued:

”Oh right, Brother Qiu, do you know where He Zhi went? I haven’t seen him since yesterday.”

”He Zhi?” Qiu Yuanze furrowed his brow, unable to recall who it was for a moment.

After all, there are hundreds participating in the protest, and he couldn’t remember them all at once.

”It’s my cousin, the one who came here before me. He’s in the Satellite City. He and Old Ma and Old Song are all united in the Satellite City for the protest!” Liu Wei quickly explained upon seeing he hadn’t remembered.

”You’re talking about him? I heard from Ma Feng this morning that He Zhi just went to transport items. But it’s okay; missing him won’t affect our protest.” Qiu Yuanze recalled after Liu Wei’s explanation.

Transport tasks like this frequently occur in the Satellite City.

So it’s not surprising.

Anyway, for Qiu Yuanze and his team, one less He Zhi won’t matter when they still have Old Song and Old Ma to respond.

As long as Old Song and Old Ma open the Satellite City’s gate, they can charge in, shoot in the chaos, and definitely cause greater turmoil.

Once inside, they can grab supplies, then kill.

The protest members have no other choice but to continue; they’re bound on the path of rebellion.

And the thousands of Cooperative Personnel from the Southwest, seeing the Satellite City breached, will surely lose their fear of the Big Camphor Tree Base, and driven by hunger, may well charge ahead and even take down other Satellite Cities and the Big Camphor Tree Base.

After all, the number of Cooperative Personnel is vast.

Most are struggling on the edge of hunger and survival. If given some courage, they would surely join in.

Qiu Yuanze then went around to find more than ten Survivor teams, saying the same thing.

The time was fixed; at three o’clock, everyone would gather in the Fifth Satellite City to protest.

Most people just thought it was a protest, not something more outrageous.

With so many people, surely they wouldn’t be caught.

Everyone had such thoughts, as protesting was all about shouting support with little fear of serious trouble.

If the protest was ineffective, they’d scatter without causing major issues.

The law wouldn’t punish a crowd.

With so many participants, why catch just one?

No one considered that the Big Camphor Tree Base might round them all up.

These newly joined Cooperative Personnel don’t have a good relationship with the old Cooperative Personnel; both sides compete.

Thus the group cohesion was intense during this time.

They continuously conflicted, with the old Cooperative Personnel not sharing their knowledge with the newcomers.

As such, many of the new Cooperative Personnel, who had never visited the Big Camphor Tree Base, didn’t know what it looked like.

....

Noon, 12 o’clock.

He Chao watched as Xiao Hu and others unloaded grain from the truck, then said to Xiao Hu:

”Xiao Hu, then we’ll leave first.”

Xiao Hu knew about the protest, given he was also an Outer City personnel.

And the information from Guo Peng was relayed to the Big Camphor Tree Base through him.

The walkie-talkie communication range is limited; even with a repeater, it barely covers tens of kilometers.

From the Big Camphor Tree Base to the farthest Fifth Satellite City is sixty or seventy kilometers.

Therefore, the Fourth Satellite City, positioned between the Big Camphor Tree Base and the Fifth Satellite City, frequently relays messages for the Fifth Satellite City, otherwise it can’t contact the Big Camphor Tree Base directly.

Xiao Hu watched the four trucks and saw the Defense Director earlier, faintly sensing something.

He rarely sees Li Yu’s Uncle patrolling personally, and recalling the message from Guo Peng the day before, he felt this matter was likely not simple.

Uncle hadn’t told him because the operation was too covert and the fewer people knowing, the better.

Soon.

After half an hour, at 12:30 pm.

Uncle and his team arrived at the Fifth Satellite City.

Guo Peng, who had been waiting like ants on a hot pan, finally saw Uncle and his team.

His face showed joy but quickly returned to a normal expression.

Watching the vehicles enter, he ran out of the building to welcome them.

Upon seeing Uncle, his acting skills soared.

”Defense Director, why did you come personally?” Guo Peng already knew Li Yu’s Uncle would come, but he was unsure if there were other unknown informers in the Satellite City, so he pretended.

”Hmm, just came to take a look.” Uncle nodded at Guo Peng calmly.

Guo Peng’s eyes shifted, then he said to Gongsun Jing standing nearby:

”Gongsun, take Supervisor He Chao to move the truck grain to the room.”

Gongsun Jing was also aware of the operation’s details, so she immediately understood Guo Peng’s intent:

To secretly move people and grain into the building.

She promptly nodded: ”Understood, I’ll do that now.”

She jogged to He Chao’s side.

Respectfully, she said to He Chao: ”Supervisor He Chao, move the truck closer to save the distance.”

He Chao nodded slightly and then said: ”Alright.”

The truck parked at the building’s entrance, with the two large doors blocking the side view well.

With Gongsun Jing and her team covering, the Cooperative Personnel from the same row of prefab buildings couldn’t see those disembarking.

As the truck approached the entrance, suddenly Old Zhou and others came down from it.

Once off the truck, Old Zhou and others immediately ran to a building’s second floor to crouch and await the action plan.

The central cement building was only inhabited by Outer City Personnel or Extra Staff, who were out on tasks.

Thus the two adjacent buildings were empty.

Only the central building had inhabitants.

All personnel from three trucks disembarked.

A total of sixty people. Old Zhou and Old Bi crouched in rooms on the first, second, and third floors.

Silently waiting.

Uncle checked the time; it was only one o’clock.

Thus he lingered around like usual, pretending to perform a patrol and chatting with Guo Peng.

Once it reached 1:30 pm, he took He Chao and others and drove out of the Fifth Satellite City.

Seeing them leave, Cooperative Personnel Old Song in a prefab room sighed.

Close call.

Who knew the Defense Director would suddenly come, bringing a dozen people along?

Almost disrupting their protest.

Considering the time, they left at 1:30. By the time of their protest, the Defense Director would likely be back at the Big Camphor Tree Base.

The protest was at three o’clock, and there was still time.

....

After leaving the Fifth Satellite City, they drove north.

After approximately five kilometers, Uncle saw a small junction ahead, scarcely wide enough for their vehicles.

It was a dirt road, overgrown with weeds.

”Enter from here.”

Uncle said to the driver.

They entered the junction and traveled over a hundred meters, stopping in a dense forest.

They were to coordinate with Old Bi’s team here.

When those people protested, Uncle’s team would surround from outside, leaving no escape.
