Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

The next day.

Uncle then went to find Old Bi and the others. At present, in the Outer City there were still Old Bi, Lao Zhou, Zhou Ran and the rest.

Old Lv and Song Min and the others had to stay behind to guard the Big Camphor Tree Base, so Uncle didn’t go looking for them.

He roughly told them about this matter.

Old Bi’s eyes went wide, and he shouted angrily:

”There’s actually something like this? Are they looking for death?”

Sitting opposite Old Bi, Lao Zhou’s gaze was gloomy. He spoke slowly:

”People’s greed knows no bounds. Defense Director, give the order— we’ll make sure to bring those people in.”

”Don’t be impulsive, wait a bit. When they hold the protest, we’ll grab them all at once— wouldn’t that be a clean sweep? Catching them one by one is way too troublesome.” He Chao spoke up.

The few of them argued heatedly, each voicing their own opinion.

.....

Uncle waved his hand, and everyone fell quiet.

They turned to look at Uncle.

Within the Big Camphor Tree Base, Li Yu was without question the top leader.

Besides that, many of these Outer City personnel had been in the army, so they also had quite a bit of faith in Third Uncle.

But right now Third Uncle and Li Yu were both not here, so combat operations would be under Li Yu’s uncle Liu Jianwen’s command.

Uncle lowered his hand and said solemnly:

”Old Bi, Lao Zhou, tomorrow you take sixty people and go to the Fifth Satellite City with me in the afternoon.”

”He Chao, today we happen to be transporting grain into the Satellite Cities. At that time we’ll hide ourselves in the trucks, and you just distribute food to the people in the Satellite Cities as usual.”

”Don’t spread this matter for now. I’m afraid if word leaks, those people will change the time of their protest.”

”Also, I’ve already agreed on a handling plan with the Internal Affairs Director. This time, anyone who participates in the protest is to be killed without exception. You need to be ready. When the time comes, don’t let anyone escape.

This is important— get prepared as quickly as you can.”

Uncle directly issued the operation order and laid out what each of them should do.

Seeing that the Defense Director had already made the final decision, Lao Zhou and the others stopped talking.

They simply hadn’t expected the move to be this decisive.

All participants in the protest to be killed— learning of such a resolution left them all clicking their tongues in shock.

Thinking it through carefully, they still felt that this kind of decision wasn’t exactly surprising.

After all, if Director Li were here, the strike would only be even harsher.

After notifying Lao Zhou and the others, Uncle left the First outer city.

Once he had Uncle’s orders, He Chao quickly contacted Li Yuan to apply for the grain to be transported to the Satellite Cities for the Outer City personnel.

On Li Yuan’s side, after getting later messages from Second Uncle and Uncle, he opened the granary and had Old Lv and the others move out a portion of the grain to He Chao.

Time passed.

Very soon, it was ten in the morning.

He Chao and the others had already finished preparing the grain to be transported to the Satellite Cities.

Under normal circumstances, since patrol personnel would regularly make the rounds in the five Satellites, they would also take grain to each Satellite City along the way.

So Uncle drove several new-energy electric vehicles, with Old Xie and about a dozen others in the cars as the routine patrol. Behind them were four trucks, three of which were loaded with Outer City combat personnel, and only one truck carried grain.

Inside the three trucks, Lao Zhou, Old Bi and the others hid themselves.

Because they often drove that national highway, the potholes on the road had been repaired in places, so it was somewhat easier to drive.

Their first stop was the First Satellite City to deliver grain.

.....

At the same time.

Outside the Fifth Satellite City.

The Fifth Satellite City was originally quite close to Gan City, so some newly recruited Cooperative Personnel also lived in the suburbs of Gan City.

In an abandoned factory on the outskirts of Gan City.

Qiu Yuanze looked at the crowd in the room, his gaze murky.

”Cheng-ge, everything’s ready. We start at three in the afternoon. Then we’ll launch the protest, and in the chaos we’ll kill the people in that Satellite City.”

”Mm. Have you figured out the firepower situation in that Satellite City?” Cheng-ge asked.

”We asked around clearly. There are twenty-three guns in the Satellite City. It takes at least half an hour for people from the nearest Fourth Satellite City to get over here. That window is enough for us to play our hand.

As long as we take down the Fifth Satellite City and split up everything inside, I believe more people will join us.

Using these people as leverage, altogether it’s several thousand. We’ll definitely be able to cause bigger chaos. Once it’s chaotic, our chance comes.”

Cheng-ge frowned and asked:

”How come no one has come from Lao Country’s headquarters lately? It’s a bit abnormal. Zheng Xiaolong’s group promised to come before, why haven’t they made any move?”

Qiu Yuanze laughed and said:

”Zheng Xiaolong, that guy— Cheng-ge, you still don’t know him? They’re definitely over there having so much fun they don’t want to leave. As long as we mess things up here and then go back to headquarters to get people to come over, we’ll make a killing. Rumor has it there’s an enormous amount of grain stored inside this Big Camphor Tree Base.”

Cheng-ge looked at him, his brows still not relaxing, and said:

”I keep feeling something’s off.”

He thought for a while, but nothing came to mind.

So he turned to everyone in the room and said:

”Brothers, this is our chance to get rich. If we pull it off, we can use these people to take the Big Camphor Tree Base.

If the Big Camphor Tree Base sends people out, we can also use the chance to gauge their strength, then escape in the chaos, return to Lao Country and call in reinforcements.
