Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Chapter 895: Chapter 635: Chopping People? That’s My Specialty! (Part 2)

”Okay.” Li Yu felt a sigh of relief when he heard Second Uncle’s approval.

Then he looked at Uncle and asked, ”Uncle, do you have any opinions?”

Uncle shook his head and said, ”Not really, it reminds me of Old Lv when he first joined, it was similar to the current situation. If you think there’s no issue, then it’s fine.”

Receiving their confirmation, Li Yu nodded slightly, planning to discuss the matter with Third Uncle later.

......

......

Night covered the sky.

The moon and stars were sparse.

Li Yu passed through Weng City of the Second Outer City from the wall, checking the situation below.

After dark, zombies began to wander outside the base, but their numbers were far less than before.

Although more people attract more zombies, there are some extra staff living in the vicinity, including Ju Tianrui and the others. To ensure safety, they cleaned within a two-kilometer radius around Big Camphor Tree Base during the day.

This resulted in far fewer zombies in the area.

Coincidentally, Li Yu had just arranged for Uncle to take charge of capturing some zombies.

Seeing them cleaning zombies, Uncle discussed with Li Yu and decided on a rate of exchanging five zombies for one kilogram of food, motivating them to capture zombies.

However, there were requirements for the zombie’s condition; they had to be alive, and while their hands were inconsequential, their legs must be intact.

Killing zombies is straightforward for survivors who’ve spent two years in the apocalypse.

But capturing a lively zombie is quite challenging.

One must be extremely cautious, otherwise, the attempt could backfire, and being bitten by a zombie is no joke.

In the past couple of days, nearly two hundred zombies were captured after cleaning the surrounding area.

These zombies had their arms chopped off, mouths welded shut, with iron helmets attached, and were stored in Weng City of the Second Outer City.

This Weng City wasn’t large, less than two hundred meters, seldom used after its construction. Initially, a Weng City was built in each of the two outer cities, along with the one at the outermost gate, totaling three Weng Cities.

Bai Jie and her research room were located in Weng City of the First Outer City.

Using cement pipes made by Father Li before, erected two layers, about 2.5 meters tall here, suitable for isolation.

Currently, not many zombie generators are built, so these zombies are merely stored here.

The Second Outer City housed a long strip four-story building occupying ten acres.

Li Yu was troubled about where to place these zombies.

Even though the zombies had their arms removed and mouths welded shut with iron helmets, they were still zombies.

Placing them in residential buildings of the Second Outer City seemed inappropriate.

Putting them in the Inner City was even more unsuitable; no dangerous entities were allowed there.

However, the zombie generator was crucial to the base, causing a dilemma for Li Yu.

The most crucial aspect was the safety concern.

During rainy or humid weather, zombies would sense the air’s moisture and become agitated, so they must be securely locked in a specific area.

.....

Li Yu passed the wall of Weng City, descended, and entered the Inner City.

It was dinner time, and Third Uncle was leisurely eating.

He seemed to be in good spirits.

There was one dish with meat and one vegetarian side dish, and beside his meal, there was a cucumber, appearing freshly washed.

Li Yu sat beside Third Uncle.

Third Uncle noticed Li Yu and asked, ”Haven’t eaten yet?”

Li Yu shook his head and said, ”Third Uncle, you know about Zhu Xiao’s situation, right?”

Third Uncle nodded slightly, with a hint of seriousness in his eyes.

Li Yu continued, ”I intend to take Ju Tianrui and the others along; if this trip goes smoothly, Ju Tianrui and their points should reach the criteria for entering the city. I plan to let them into the Outer City, what do you think, Third Uncle?”

Third Uncle paused his chopsticks, raising his head.

He pondered silently for a moment.

Then spoke, ”That works.”

Then a thoughtful look flashed in Third Uncle’s eyes as he said, ”Xiao Yu, honestly, you have a strong killing aura, which isn’t a bad thing in the apocalypse. Shared goals and similar ideologies are crucial. I think during this operation, you should observe Ju Tianrui’s perspective and actions regarding wiping out those bandits.”

Li Yu agreed deeply upon hearing this.

He nodded firmly, saying, ”Alright, I understand.”

Third Uncle’s words were clear.

If Ju Tianrui and the others couldn’t accept Li Yu’s aggressive, and sometimes extreme, responses to threats, they should be cautiously kept from entering for now.

If Ju Tianrui endorsed and acted according to Li Yu’s decisions, then there’s no problem.

The point hit the nail on the head.

After the chat, seeing Li Yu quiet, Third Uncle picked up his chopsticks and continued eating.

Watching Third Uncle eat heartily, Li Yu felt hungry too, so he went to grab a meal for himself.

While eating, his mind continued its calculations; Zhu Xiao would certainly be included, and Ju Tianrui and the others too, bringing the number up to over a hundred.
