Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 54: Chapter 54: Didn’t See That Coming? I Can Fly! Can’t Hit Me

The Qi Blood Power within his body erupted once more, completely unrestrained. This time, the outburst was even more ferocious than before!

He seemed to have swelled a full size, and strange patterns appeared on his skin. He had clearly activated a Secret Technique to unleash his latent potential!

“Thick Earth Mountain-Suppressing Fist!”

Liu Ming’s face contorted as he charged explosively toward Chu Sheng once more!

This single punch contained all his power and fury. Before it even landed, its mountain-heavy intent was already crushing the sand beneath his feet, causing it to crack inch by inch!

“It’s a Profound Tier Fist Technique!”

One of the Array Masters on the ground cried out in alarm again. His family possessed an extensive library, and he had studied some of the province’s most famous Martial Arts Atlases!

“This fist intent! This earthy-yellow glow of Qi Blood! That’s the Thick Earth Mountain-Suppressing Fist of the Chen Family from years ago! He… Who in the world is he?!”

“The Chen Family? The Sui Ming Chen Family? Weren’t they annihilated long ago?”

“Fuck! Don’t tell me he’s a survivor from the Chen Family?!”

This realization left all the Array Masters stunned once more.

They finally understood that the secrets Liu Ming carried were far deeper than they had ever imagined.

The power of this punch was enough to easily obliterate an ordinary Second-Grade Early Stage Demon Beast!

’Can this mosquito… possibly block it?!’

However, faced with this earth-shattering punch…

…the blood-red mosquito merely, slowly, and unhurriedly… flew a few meters higher.

Liu Ming’s punch, powerful enough to shatter stone, merely grazed past the mosquito’s six legs, whistling through the air and slamming viciously into nothing.

The violent force of the punch plowed a deep trench several meters long into the sand.

And then… there was nothing else.

“…”

Liu Ming froze on the spot, his body locked in its punching stance.

The Array Masters, too, were frozen in place, their expressions dazed.

The world was once again plunged into a deathly silence.

Everyone stared up dumbly at the blood-red mosquito hovering in mid-air, looking down on them from its superior position.

Liu Ming slowly and arduously raised his head. He stared at the mosquito, which was so close yet seemed as far as the horizon, his mind a complete blank.

’Oh, right…’

’It… it can fly…’

’As a First-Grade Martial Artist, I can’t fly or even walk on air. I can’t reach it at all…’

Silence.

A long, drawn-out silence.

“…Motherfucker!”

A curse filled with endless frustration and rage was squeezed from between Liu Ming’s gritted teeth.

“BUZZ BUZZ! (’Heh! He’s losing it!’)”

Chu Sheng was having a great time up in the sky.

This was the major weakness of Martial Artists. Before reaching the Fifth-Grade, they couldn’t even temporarily walk on air, let alone fly, and they had virtually no means of ranged attack.

When facing a flying opponent, all they could do was stare helplessly.

“Fuck! Get down here if you have any guts!”

With a furious roar, Liu Ming’s leg muscles exploded with power, launching him into the air like a spring. He once again swung the fist imbued with his heavy intent, smashing it toward Chu Sheng.

However, it was useless.

Chu Sheng simply flew up another few meters with nonchalant ease, effortlessly dodging the Attack.

THUD!

Liu Ming crashed back to the ground, smashing a shallow crater into the earth. He looked up, panting, his eyes bloodshot as he stared fixedly at the mosquito circling over his head, his chest heaving violently.

’I can’t hit it!’

’I can’t hit it at all!’

“Fuck! Goddammit! FUCK!!”

Liu Ming completely snapped!

A torrent of rage and frustration washed over his mind, leaving it blank. The caution and cunning he had cultivated through years of forbearance vanished in an instant.

’Dammit!’

’If I can’t hit you, I’ll just go after your master!’

’She’s a Beast Tamer! Without her Contracted Beast, even as a First-Grade Late Stage Martial Artist, she could never block a desperate, all-out attack from me!’

’Once I kill her, this mosquito, as her Blood Contracted Beast, will suffer a massive backlash even if it doesn’t die outright!’

’Then, I’ll have the upper hand again!’

“Fuck! So I can’t hit you? You think I can’t hit your master?!”

Liu Ming let out a beast-like roar. Ignoring Chu Sheng in the sky, he spun around and charged madly toward the lakebed!

’Trying to get past me? You didn’t ask for my permission.’

How could Chu Sheng possibly let him succeed?

With a flap of his wings, a dozen more Flame Burst Feathers shot out, forming a dense web of firepower that instantly blocked Liu Ming’s path.

This time, however, the frenzied Liu Ming made no attempt to dodge.

He took the explosions of several Flaming Feather Blades head-on, letting the searing shockwaves tear his flesh apart as he continued his reckless charge forward!

Empowered by the Secret Technique that unlocked his potential, he actually managed to endure the attack!

’What the hell? Is he that reckless?’

Chu Sheng was taken aback. ’Looks like this guy has completely lost his mind and gone berserk!’

’But… it’s no use!’

The next second, a thought crossed his mind.

’Molten Fire Insect Nest, activate!’

BZZZZ—!

A dark-red spatial rift, seemingly connected to some Purgatory Plane, suddenly tore open in the air before Liu Ming!

Immediately after, an endless, crimson swarm of insects poured out like a tidal wave from a broken dam!

These were no ordinary insects!

Every fly, cockroach, and moth was covered in dark-red, magma-like patterns. Destructive flames burned within their compound eyes, and their bodies were suffused with highly unstable Cyan Flame Power, ready to detonate at any moment!

They were all Self-destructive Flame Insects, enchanted by the Molten Fire Insect Nest!

“What… What the hell are these things?!”

Liu Ming’s charge came to a dead stop.

He stared in abject horror at the sky-blotting sea of explosive insects that had materialized before him. A bone-deep chill shot up from the soles of his feet straight to the crown of his head.

He wanted to retreat, but it was too late.

The swarm engulfed him.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM—!!!

In an instant, it was as if hundreds, even thousands, of miniature bombs had all been detonated at once!

The deafening, continuous explosions merged into a torrent of pure destruction!

The violent flames and shockwaves tore away the top layer of earth in a radius of dozens of meters.

The Array Masters, who had collapsed on the ground, stared dumbfounded at the cataclysmic scene before them, their minds having completely shut down.

Their mouths hung open and their eyes were vacant, unable to form a single coherent sentence.

’Summoning…’

’Did… did it just summon an army? An army of self-destructing insects?’

’What kind of ability is this?’

’Is this really something a Contracted Beast can do?!’

They had seen Demon Beasts capable of summoning allies before, but those could, at most, call upon three to five helpers far weaker than themselves.

’But this mosquito? It summoned hundreds, thousands! An endless, overwhelming tide of insects!’

’This isn’t a battle anymore. This is a complete rout! A massacre!’

’How could this be a Contracted Beast? It’s clearly a mobile, flying, tireless fortress of war!’

’What kind of monster did we provoke today?!’

「Not long after.」

The aftershocks of the explosions gradually subsided.

All that remained was a massive, scorched crater.

Liu Ming lay in the center of the crater. There wasn’t a single patch of unscathed skin on his body, his limbs were twisted grotesquely, and he was barely breathing, clearly on the verge of death.

Liu Ming struggled to open his eyes. He looked toward where the insect swarm had been, then up at the blood-red mosquito hovering in the air, completely unharmed.

Endless despair flooded his already lifeless eyes.

He had lost.

He had lost, completely and utterly.

His prized cunning, the strength he had hidden for years, his final, desperate gambit…

…in the face of this mosquito’s absolute power and incomprehensible abilities, it all seemed like a pathetic, laughable joke.

“Heh… heheh…”

Liu Ming suddenly began to laugh, a neurotic, broken sound. As he laughed, tears streamed down his face.

He had broken down. His spirit was utterly crushed.

Just then, Gu Yuexi’s figure emerged, walking slowly out from the dry lakebed.

In her hand, she held a crystal the size of a fist. It was perfectly translucent, and within it, what looked like countless stars swirled in a cycle of birth and death.

The Spiritual Crystal!
