Rebirth in Famine: She Thrives by Lucky Space

Chapter 948: 948 Pennies Divided

The accounts have been settled. We’re distributing the money now, at least giving Wei Kaiyun and the other two their shares, and settling everyone’s wages for the past two months clearly.

The Li Family Brothers and Wei Kaiyun have signed on the accounts.

Jiang Xinyu took out the money and counted out the wages, which she handed over to Li Yunqiang. Soon he’ll distribute the wages to everyone.

Actually, it’s quite a lot of money. Li Yunqiang divided it up according to the wage sheet. When the time comes, it’s easy to just hand out the money.

Wei Kaiyun has distributed one thousand five hundred and thirty yuan among his group, and he directly took out two hundred and twenty yuan, which he will distribute to the brothers, twenty yuan each; that’s the meaning of it.

Old Yang also took out one hundred and one. After all, the brothers are working with him.

”Let’s put it together.”

Old Yang wouldn’t have any objections. Not just on this small matter, even on other issues, he listens to Wei Kaiyun’s arrangements.

Actually, this money doesn’t have anything to do with him. Even getting ten percent is an unexpected surprise.

Lu Tiezhu is more than satisfied. Xiao Wei once said that he would definitely not treat him poorly, and indeed, not only does he have the salary of a senior technician but also commissions. This time, it’s over eight hundred yuan, next year it’ll definitely be a blue brick big tile house.

Afterward, the group went to the pesticide factory, and without holding back, they directly handed out wages in the workshop.

However, the money from Wei Kaiyun was not handed out like this, as there were twenty villagers still there. It’s better to give it separately.

Everyone was very pleased, thirty yuan a month, even though everyone was too tired to lift an arm every day, but now that they’ve received the money, all fatigue has vanished.

There’s food, there’s meat, there’s money, life like this is full of prospects.

Since wages were being distributed today, everyone got off work early.

The ten people who came later were naturally envious seeing others getting over fifty yuan, that’s two yuan a day, where else can you find such a good deal? So they all thought they must work hard, after all, many people were still eyeing this job.

The Li Family Brothers and villagers left. Wei Kaiyun drew out three hundred and thirty yuan and handed it to Shuanzi, ”Give this out to everyone, thirty yuan per person; this is Old Yang’s and my New Year’s bonus for everyone.”

Wei Kaiyun wanted them to understand that as long as they work honestly, they won’t be treated unfairly.

”There’s more money? This year I alone can earn the wages for my whole family,” Big Biao said with a smile.

”Big Biao, you better watch out, if you dare say there’s so much money, this job won’t be yours.”

”Er Hong, do you think I’m stupid? I won’t talk, besides, if I don’t have this job, my brothers will. My brothers have the say here.”

In fact, Big Biao used to have a job at a lunchbox factory, but his younger brother replaced him, so he’s unemployed.

His mom clearly stated that he won’t need to support her, this job is the pension for him to support them in the future.

If it weren’t for needing a letter of introduction, he wouldn’t be going back.

The brothers all knew Big Biao’s situation, but seeing that he didn’t care at all, they were reassured.

”Since you seven want to go to the Capital, head back tomorrow, walk all the way, no other transportation will be available.”

”Yes, Brother Wei. We’ll set off at four in the morning. We’ll definitely return by the fifth day of the Lunar New Year,” Chengzi said with a smile.

”Brother Wei, I’ll probably only stay at home for one night, I’ll celebrate the New Year here.”

”Alright, it’s up to you. Okay, you pack up.”

Old Yang explained some things, then the two returned home.

”How long can they stay in the Capital?”

”It depends on Old Han’s decision. I think it’ll be two or three years at most, there’s no technical content here, more will emerge in the future.”

Old Yang nodded, hoping all went well for the brothers following him.

”Don’t worry, things are easy with money.”

”I know. This is good too, letting them work steadily. In the future, if they establish families, it won’t be in vain to have worked with me.”

When the two got home, they saw Han Xiangjun wearing an apron cutting meat. This young master wasn’t very adept at such tasks, while Zhang Qiu’e and Du Fengying were much faster.

But it’s already good that he can do it. Wei Kaiyun thought he was just bored, so he did some work.

Now the meat is at its best time to cut, which is why Jiang Xinyu decided to do it. She’s going to class, and when she returns in the evening, she can season it.

”Sister Du, have you started the dough yet? Big Biao and the others are leaving at four tomorrow morning,” Wei Kaiyun reminded them, not to delay the brothers wanting to take some pastries home.

”Xiao Jiang already started the dough at noon.”

Wei Kaiyun nodded. That’s good. It can be done tonight.

Speaking of Big Biao and the others, they’ve all taken a bath. Though not valued at home, they still want to go back neatly.

Er Hong and Big Biao are neighbors. ”You’re really not spending New Year’s at home?”

”You don’t know my situation? There’s not even a place for me at home, what am I going to do there? If it weren’t for the introduction letter, I wouldn’t be going. If things look okay, I’ll give ten yuan; if not, I’ll save the money.”

”Big Biao, actually your parents are alright, at least they gave your job to your brother. You don’t have to support them when they’re old. We aren’t so fortunate.”

”Ha, if I hadn’t forced them to get the neighborhood committee and sign the documents and separate the household registration, what do you think would have happened?

I’m not staying at home; I’ll stay at a motel tomorrow night. After the introduction letter, I’ll come right back.”

”I’ll go back and see too. If I’m still not valued, I’ll come back. I can still earn wages, eat well, live well, why suffer there?”

”Your mom would turn you upside down.”

”I’ll just take ten yuan back.”

”Not giving them money?”

Er Hong shook his head, ”They’re all formal workers, they don’t care about my little money. Being able to bring back some pastries is good enough.”

Not being valued since childhood, he’s used to it and plans for himself.

”As long as you’re aware, if things don’t work out, you can come back with me.”

”We’ll see, nothing you say now matters.

Big Biao, what difference will it make going to the Capital?”

”How should I know? Wherever we go, we’re working in workshops. What’s the difference? Don’t tell me you plan on sightseeing? That’s not realistic.”

”Yeah, Shuanzi and the others are privileged, you’re not like the other Big Biao.”

”What’s there to envy? They won’t last long outside either, it’s just different tasks.”

”The four of them are going back together tomorrow too. We eleven have company, but we have to agree, we can’t reveal how much money we’ve earned.”

”No one’s dumb, if we were valued at home, why wouldn’t we have returned all this time? Everyone has their own plan.”
