Rebirth in Famine: She Thrives by Lucky Space

Chapter 475: 475 hit a tough nut

Sun Hongxia knew she was a bit drunk now. After eating a few pieces of meat, she put down her chopsticks. ”Director Kong, Captain, I’m going back first. It’s too late.”

Before the two could speak, someone interjected, ”No, we just started. Don’t rush to leave; let’s drink slowly. Who doesn’t know that Sun is a decisive and straightforward woman?”

The other three also persuaded her. Kong Demin said nothing, and Wang Dajiang was smiling while eating.

Sun Hongxia didn’t leave, but she stopped drinking, just ate.

Wang Dajiang brought back twenty buns, and Sun Hongxia didn’t hesitate, directly picked one up and started eating.

After about ten minutes, someone persuaded her to drink again. Slowly, she had another two glasses, and now she was truly drunk.

Wang Dajiang stopped the four of them, ”Don’t let her drink anymore. We all work together, and if something happens, it’ll be hard to explain.”

Sun Hongxia was really drunk and kept leaning towards Kong Demin.

Kong Demin looked down on her, but he quite enjoyed it because of the proximity. He caught a whiff of a woman’s scent and almost lost control. A woman’s face is just for the day; at night, with the lights off, it’s all the same.

The other five noticed, so they just drank. The ten bottles of wine Lv Beiguang brought were all finished, and the five of them supported each other as they left.

Now only Kong Demin and Sun Hongxia were left.

Sun Hongxia’s mind was now fuzzy, not knowing what she was doing.

Kong Demin’s hand reached into her clothes. She had a good figure.

So he stood up, looked at Sun Hongxia’s silhouette, and still decided to support her inside.

Sun Hongxia was now a bit out of breath; it was the first time someone treated her this way.

The two returned to the room. What kind of person was Kong Demin? Within a few minutes, they were both naked, facing each other.

Gramps Sun noticed that his daughter wasn’t back yet, and he was a bit upset, so he told his eldest son to go find her.

”Dad, my aunt said my sister didn’t go to her place at all.”

”What?” Gramps Sun’s eyes widened.

”Dad, my cousin said my sister asked her to go for dinner together today, but my cousin didn’t agree, and also wouldn’t let my sister go.”

”What did your cousin say? Where did they go for dinner?”

”She said it. Should we go find her?”

”Let’s go.” Gramps Sun suppressed his anger. His eldest daughter was different from his son; he was worried she’d suffer.

The father and son went straight to where Wang Zhenzhen mentioned. The gate was ajar, inside, it was pitch black, with no light.

Sun was still young. He pushed the door open and went in, seeing the bicycle in the yard, ”Dad, this is my sister’s bike.”

Gramps Sun already heard the movements inside the room and knew what was happening.

He was furious, rushing in with a flashlight; the two on the kang didn’t even hear the commotion in the yard.

It wasn’t until Gramps Sun burst in that Kong Demin reacted.

He was terrified, immediately going soft. He hastened to get down and find his clothes.

Sun Hongxia was still a bit dazed, but she was also scared out of her wits, especially when she saw her dad and brother, she hurriedly dressed.

Gramps Sun didn’t wait for Kong Demin to get dressed. He directly started to hit him since he was a retired soldier; he was more agile than Kong Demin. While hitting, he said, ”Sun Quan, go to the police station and call someone.”

”Dad, don’t.”

”I’m going to beat you to death.”

”Dad, if you report to the police station, even if you don’t beat me, I have no way out.”

Kong Demin also realized what was happening and wanted to fight back, but hearing Sun Hongxia’s words, he didn’t.

Gramps Sun hit him a few more times, then seeing his daughter had dressed, he stopped.

Hearing the noises inside earlier, he had thought it through. His daughter was already twenty-one, yet without a partner, now things were like this. No matter who this man was, today’s matter must be resolved.

At this moment, the lights in the room were also pulled on. Sun Baoqiang saw the man. It turned out to be the Revolutionary Committee’s director. Though he was a bit older, luckily he was a widower, so he wouldn’t need a divorce.

”Dad, I was wrong. Don’t be mad.” Sun Hongxia was terrified.

Gramps Sun was particularly authoritative at home; the children feared him from a young age.

”You’re Kong Demin, right?” He completely ignored his daughter.

”Yes, I’m Kong Demin.”

”What are you planning to do about this?” Gramps Sun lit a smoke, squinting as he asked.

Kong Demin was at a loss for words. The bed sheet still bore the symbol of the girl’s first time. He couldn’t shirk responsibility. Yet, the thought of marrying this woman was not appealing.

She was simply too plain. Marrying such a woman felt like a disservice to himself. However, looking at the situation now, without an explanation, it wouldn’t be possible.

This Sun family wasn’t ordinary. Had they not had some influence, they wouldn’t have arranged Sun Hongxia’s position at the Revolutionary Committee.

However, he grudgingly wanted to fight back. ”You say.” Having spoken, he also fished out a cigarette from his pocket and lit it.

”I have two options: first, you marry Sun Hongxia; second, I report to the police station. No matter how capable you are now, if this gets out, you won’t shake it off. Moreover, I, Sun Baosheng, am not a pushover.”

”Only these two choices?”

Sun Hongxia, hearing her father’s words, secretly rejoiced, so she knelt on the kang, bowing and grinning privately.

The room fell silent after Kong Demin’s question, not a sound.

Kong Demin had already anticipated this outcome; just now, he was only holding onto a slim chance. Now, he had no other choice.

He knew Sun Baoqiang had connections and was quite formidable. Thinking of this, Kong Demin realized he had to accept it.

”Fine, tomorrow we’ll go get a license.”

”Good. Honestly, I’m not afraid of you backing out.” Sun Baoqiang extinguished his cigarette on the floor after speaking and left.

Sun Quan called his sister. Watching Sun Hongxia get off the kang, he waited for her to leave with him.

The only one left in the room was Kong Demin, sitting on the kang, smoking.

He couldn’t figure out what he was thinking earlier. Why did he get involved with Sun Hongxia?

Now it was a mess that couldn’t be cleaned up. He could only accept it. However, this Sun family had connections that might be beneficial. So be it. Marrying someone was all the same; the one he really wanted to marry, Jiang Xinyu, already had two kids. He might as well choose someone who could benefit him.

Having thought it through, Kong Demin stood up and left.

Upon returning home, he went straight to Meng Xiu Fen’s room.

”What’s wrong? What happened?”

Meng Xiu Fen was startled; Kong Demin’s lip was bruised. Luckily, he had no other injuries on his face.

”Nothing, just that I slept with a woman, and tomorrow we’re getting a license. It’s Sun Hongxia.”

”That girl?” Meng Xiu Fen was a bit shocked. That girl was quite burly and not at all Kong Demin’s type. He really couldn’t control his lower half.
