NTR: Barbarian Harem Conquest

Morning light found the courtyard before the city fully woke.

Griselda unwrapped the fragment on a stone table with two elven warders standing a careful distance back.

The cloth fell away.

Wrong heat lifted into the air in a persistent wave.

”Be careful.”

Kane watched from the edge of the yard with Mjoldr grounded and the amber recovery flags still quiet at the edge of his vision.

Griselda’s eyes went flat.

Her wings folded tight against her back, tighter than he had seen them in any fight, any council, any quiet hour on a wall.

The warders glanced at each other and didn’t speak.

Griselda turned the fragment once with a tool, never bare fingers, and then looked at Kane alone.

”I felt this in the Fall,” she said, quiet enough that the warders had to strain for it.

”The same patience. The same hand. This is not a leak. It is a tap. Someone has been bleeding this layer for weeks, slowly, so the tree wards would not trigger.”

Kane held her gaze.

”Can you hold it contained until we are on the water?” 𝖋𝘳ℯ

”I can hold it. I cannot make it honest.”

Griselda wrapped the fragment again with deliberate care.

”When you return from the Giants, we finish this conversation. Not yet.”

”Agreed.”

Sira found him on the wall walk an hour later with the new bow across her back and the expression she wore when she had already decided not to waste breath on a fight she could not win.

Kane didn’t dress it up.

”Rear anchor. You and the elven commander the Queen named. Written protocols. Quarantine, outer posts, Menual chain. If the belt knocks again while we are gone, you hold the answer until we are in range to hear it.”

Sira looked at the tree line for a long second.

The brat who shook her ass in his room and collected corridor debts did not surface.

The woman who had put shafts into yellow eyes from a tree did.

”I have it,” she said.

She nodded once and walked the wall walk to take the post without another word.

The silence she left behind carried more weight than any argument she could have made.

By midday the Queen’s token arrived: a pale-wood case, already known, already sealed.

Departure was confirmed for the following dawn.

Outer approach sealed.

Rear papers live.

Thora was cleared to travel and forbidden from the front line until the ribs finished arguing with the ape’s fist.

Misha would coordinate.

Kessa and Griselda held the combat element.

Firlia held logistics.

Two elven commanders held liaison to the Queen’s authority on foreign stone.

The boat waited at the harbor with its lines already single-wrapped for a morning cast-off.

Kane spent the afternoon on the recovery the system had demanded and the lists Misha would not let him ignore.

The fragment sat under Griselda’s ward. The forest kept its ordinary face. The ”not yet” of every unfinished thread in the household sat under the work like a second pulse.

That night Misha came to his room without knocking in the way that meant rotation, and without the bright claim that meant collection.

She closed the door, set her board aside, and stood for a moment with her hands empty.

White hair bound. Golden eyes reading the new bruises along his ribs and forearm the way she read supply gaps: quietly, completely, without needing him to narrate.

”You should be asleep,” Kane said.

”So should you.”

Misha crossed the space and sat on the edge of the bed.

”The boat leaves at dawn. Thora’s ribs are wrapped. Sira has the wall. Griselda has the fragment. The lists are finished.”

She looked at him.

”I didn’t come to add to them.”

He made room.

She lay down along his uninjured side with the careful precision she brought to everything that mattered, and for a while they only breathed in the same dark.

When her hand found his chest, it avoided the reopened lines from the ape without being told.

Kane turned his face into her hair.

She let him.

When he kissed her, it was slow: no debt, no performance, only the attention she had always given problems she intended to solve properly.

Misha answered in the same register.

She undressed him without hurry, mapping bruises with her mouth instead of questions, working around the places the Rage and the animal had spent.

Kane’s hands found the ties of her clothes and undid them with the same care.

Skin met skin in the low lamp light.

She straddled his hips only when both of them were ready, guided him into her with a breath that shook once, and then stayed still long enough that the fact of being joined mattered more than the motion.

”Like this,” she murmured against his mouth.

”Not the way the others take. Just—this.”

He held her hips and let her set the pace: deep, measured strokes that never forgot the ribs or the recovery window or the fact that dawn already had a boat attached to it.

Misha’s forehead rested against his.

Her white hair fell around both their faces. Every time he pushed up, she met him, deliberate and present; the princess’s focus turned into something that had no ledger line.

Kane’s hand rose to her cheek.

”Misha. I’m not—”

He stopped.

The sentence broke in his chest and went nowhere.

Misha’s hand stilled flat over his heart.

She looked at him in the near-dark, golden eyes steady, and didn’t push. She waited the way she waited for reports that were late but necessary.

Behind his eyes, the extraction lock sat like a door that would not open.

The body that was not this one.

The life that had existed before a barbarian frame and a blood-soaked tutorial and a household that had learned to read his silences.

He almost gave it to her: the whole ugly fact of being a man from another layer wearing a system’s meat.

Kane moved again instead, slower, deeper, and Misha closed her eyes and took the answer he could give with her body while the one he could not give stayed locked behind his teeth.

When she came, it was quiet: a long, controlled shiver, her face pressed to his throat, her hand never leaving his chest.

Kane followed her over the edge with a rough breath and his arms locked around her, the recovery flags and the boat and the fragment and the forest all briefly far away.

They stayed joined while their breathing settled.

Misha didn’t move off him.

Her fingers traced a careful line along a bruise she had already learned by touch.

”What aren’t you telling me?”
