Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

The power of the Extracosmic Heavenly Demon was very strange. It seemed capable of affecting a person’s mind and spirit. Even Lu Yuan could not guard against it at first and had almost fallen into its trap.

Fortunately, he had the ancient Bodhi Tree in his mind. It was under this tree that the Buddha had attained enlightenment, and it possessed all kinds of mysterious, unfathomable powers.

In an instant, it cleared his mind again and prevented that power from affecting him.

Lu Yuan also knew that his opponent had already been pressured to a certain threshold from the battle.

Otherwise, the Extracosmic Heavenly Demon would not have causally used such a method. He would only do so when he had no better options.

Even for an Extracosmic Heavenly Demon, using this kind of power was difficult. Perhaps there was even some price to pay.

His guess had a basis. If it could be used easily, the Extracosmic Heavenly Demon before him would have done so from the start and would not have waited until now.

After breaking free from that power, Lu Yuan took a step forward. The aura around him surged again and his battle intent soared into the heavens.

Almost in the next instant, he appeared before the Extracosmic Heavenly Demon.

”How is this possible? My power actually has no effect on him?” the Extracosmic Heavenly Demon cried out, his voice tinged with shock and disbelief.

Ever since he had come to this Xuanhuang Cosmos, this power of his had been almost unstoppable. For example, those Celestials had powerful cultivation themselves, but in the end, they still could not resist.

He also knew that his race relied on this power to wander through the various universes without perishing, and even to destroy worlds.

Yet now, it seemed to have no effect on Lu Yuan.

In his shock, he forgot to defend himself for a moment.

Lu Yuan seized this opening and threw a punch.

Rumble.

An enormous thunderous roar rang out again. The surrounding meteorites shattered instantly, turning into dazzling light.

The light pierced through the black mist that filled the entire region, causing it to slowly dissipate.

The Extracosmic Heavenly Demon retreated again and again, wanting to use his own power to neutralize Lu Yuan’s methods.

But Lu Yuan did not give him that chance. He pressed forward once more, his golden fists blooming with peerless divine light.

He then threw out punch after punch. Again and again.

Under this assault, the black mist around the Extracosmic Heavenly Demon thinned little by little.

Lu Yuan had already seen that the thick black mist surrounding the Extracosmic Heavenly Demon was very peculiar.

It was equivalent to a defensive method. If he did not destroy it, then defeating or even killing the Extracosmic Heavenly Demon would be impossible.

Therefore, every punch he threw contained boundless power.

The pressure he emitted caused the surrounding stars to shatter continuously.

This battle was like something out of myth. Here, Lu Yuan could attack without restraint and use his strongest methods, all for the sake of defeating his opponent.

However, the black mist was indeed very strong. Even under his continuous bombardment, it dispersed very slowly.

Under that relentless assault, the Extracosmic Heavenly Demon finally reacted as well and mobilized the power within him to resist.

Their fists collided once again.

The battle continued. The Extracosmic Heavenly Demon seemed to have fallen into a disadvantage.

However, it would still take time before he was defeated.

Below, Jiang Ningxian and the others were shaken at the battle sight. This was the first time they had seen someone fight Lu Yuan for so long.

They had seen Lu Yuan fight before, and almost every time, he resolved things quickly.

No matter who the opponent was, how famous they were, or even how powerful they were, the result had always remained the same, even if the enemy was one realm higher.

But now, the Extracosmic Heavenly Demon had done it. Even while at a disadvantage, he was still holding on.

Jiang Ningxian and Jiang Haokong could tell that Lu Yuan had indeed revealed his full might for now. The problem was that he was still finding it difficult even to break through the Extracosmic Heavenly Demon’s defense.

”Are the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons really this powerful?” Jiang Haokong’s expression became solemn.

He had thought they would indeed be troublesome, but he had not expected them to be this difficult to deal with.

He knew Lu Yuan’s strength very well and considered it terrifying.

Yet now, after encountering an Extracosmic Heavenly Demon, the very first one at that, the battle had lasted this long.

Jiang Haokong was certain that if he were the one fighting, he could put up a fight.

But he would definitely lose eventually and might even lose his life.

The faces of the Jiang Clan members beside him also changed after seeing the battle.

So this was an Extracosmic Heavenly Demon. If they went against it, only one outcome awaited them: death.

Fortunately, Lu Yuan was leading them this time.

Even so, everyone was still anxious. By this point, they became uncertain how this battle would develop.

Boom.

In space, another enormous roar rang out. Thunder raged, and stars exploded.

Lu Yuan’s punch possessed the power to crush the surrounding stars.

Opposite him, no matter how powerful the Extracosmic Heavenly Demon was, the black mist around him finally grew thinner under this fierce offensive. The pressure emanating from him was also no longer as powerful as before.

In other words, Lu Yuan’s offensive had finally begun to take effect.

”This fellow...”

The Extracosmic Heavenly Demon also found it hard to endure.

Shock filled his heart. He had not expected the person he encountered to be this powerful.

Now, he had almost no strength to retaliate. It was also becoming difficult for him to maintain the mist.

Immediately, he gave a loud shout.

The black mist around him surged again, covering the skies and blotting out the sun as if it intended to devour the entire universe.[1]

Lu Yuan felt a sense of threat. The golden blood qi around him poured out continuously to resist the mist.

He wanted to suppress that power.

The surrounding stars shook.

Finally, after an unknown amount of time, the power Lu Yuan displayed ground away all of the black mist completely.

Although the surrounding stars had become extremely dim, his aura and battle intent were now even stronger than before. Standing in place, he seemed like the backbone supporting Heaven and Earth.

However, he paid none of this any attention and stared into the distance.

He had completely ground away the black mist, so the Extracosmic Heavenly Demon should no longer be able to conceal his form.

Lu Yuan was very curious as to what an Extracosmic Heavenly Demon actually looked like.

Below, Jiang Ningxian, Jiang Haokong, and the others had the same thought in their mind.

What did an existence regarded as a great enemy look like?

Hideous?

Evil?

A demonic being?

These thoughts filled everyone’s minds.

Soon, all the light faded, and Lu Yuan, along with everyone else, saw the Extracosmic Heavenly Demon’s appearance clearly.
