Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Chapter 505. A Woman’s Feelings, the Day of Departure

Everyone present was stunned at first. Then, the look in their eyes dimmed. They all understood that under these circumstances, Lu Yuan’s departure was already set in stone. They could not stop it at all.

They had no choice but to accept his decision.

Led by Elder Ji and Elder Yun, everyone took a step forward and declared, ”The Celestial Court has us. Please rest assured, King Lu.”

After his departure, they would have to shoulder the responsibility of leading the Celestial Court. No matter what crisis occurred, there would be no one to rely on.

Some people had already seen that this might be a kind of test from King Lu. Although everyone would find it difficult to adapt, no matter what, things had to continue this way.

”Good.” Lu Yuan immediately nodded at the sight, and said nothing more.

Telling everyone was only to prepare them mentally. Now, he knew that the people before him had already begun to accept the fact.

This meant that they had already been pre-empted. What they would do next depended on them.

Lu Yuan knew there was no need to say anything more. He then only spoke about the arrangements for future matters, including the stance they should take toward the various Outer Cosmos beings. In other words, he set the general direction.

However, if a crisis appeared, they would need to rely on themselves to resolve it. After hearing these instructions, everyone nodded.

Finally, Lu Yuan left and returned to his residence. Before his departure, he planned to continue improving. Whether in strength or realm, any improvement would be worthwhile.

This time, he was facing the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons, living beings that did not belong to this world at all. Who knew how powerful they would be?

Jiang Taiyu gathering the Jiang clansmen already showed that the situation was grave. If it was an easily controlled situation, he would not have made such a decision.

As such, improving strength and realm was essential.

The Celestial Court members watched Lu Yuan’s back. Be it the Golden-Winged Great Peng, Ice Fairy, or the others, each of them felt somewhat at a loss.

They all knew that three days later, the Celestial Court, and even Earth, would no longer have Lu Yuan holding the fort. It was equivalent to losing their backbone.

”Qingyu,” Ice Fairy called out. ”Originally, I thought we could still try to fight for it. At least, we could have King Lu stay a little longer.”

She felt that she and the many members of the Celestial Court were not yet ready to stand on their own. Even though their strength had already improved, it would be better if they could be given a little more time.

Hearing this, the others nodded as well. Indeed, the news had come too suddenly.

However, Zhu Qingyu shook her head slightly and replied, ”There is nothing to prepare. Since King Lu has already made his decision, it means that no matter what happens next...

”The Celestial Court, and all of us, must be prepared to stand on our own. Besides, the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons are indeed far more important. King Lu is going to resolve the greatest trouble. What we need to do is stabilize the current situation on Earth.”

She said a great deal, but the core idea was simple.

Lu Yuan was leaving, and no one could stop him. He also had the intention of testing the Celestial Court’s members. So they had to accept it.

Of course, Zhu Qingyu also realized one thing. Even without the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons, perhaps one day in the future, King Lu would still leave the Celestial Court.

Of course, this was only a guess in her heart.

After hearing Zhu Qingyu’s words, everyone looked at one another. They carefully pondered over her words and realized this was indeed the case, so no one spoke.

They had completely accepted her point of view.

Elder Ji and Elder Yun also stepped forward. They looked at everyone, and said, ”No matter what, we cannot disappoint King Lu. We must make sure he can leave without worries.”

Everyone beside them, including Zhu Qingyu and the others, nodded. The beast kings like the Golden-Winged Great Peng did the same.

However, they also knew that the news could not be spread out for the time being. Aside from those present, it had to be contained.

The reason was clear. Once the news leaked, putting aside what those Outer Cosmos beings would think, the most important thing was that the ordinary people and so many Celestial Court members might fall into a temporary panic.

From the beginning until now, almost everyone had lived under Lu Yuan’s protection. Now that he was leaving, likely few people would be able to adapt.

Thus, the news naturally could not spread.

Afterward, everyone said nothing more and left in succession. Only Zhu Qingyu and Ice Fairy remained standing where they were.

”Qingyu, if King Lu leaves this time, it may be a very long time before you see him again. Are you... not going to say anything to him?” Ice Fairy asked.

Zhu Qingyu did not answer immediately. After a while, she shook her head.

”Some things do not need to be said. I do not want to distract him. Besides, the gap between us is still too large.

Hearing this, Ice Fairy parted her lips, but eventually said nothing. Perhaps only she knew Zhu Qingyu’s feelings for Lu Yuan.

Afterward, the two women also left, each going about their own work.

Lu Yuan was leaving Earth and going into space to fight the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons. Under such circumstances, they also had to make proper arrangements.

It was true that the Outer Cosmos beings were no longer as forceful and arrogant as before. Some even wanted to build good relations with the Celestial Court.

But all of this was because of Lu Yuan. With such a powerful expert holding the fort, no matter how many thoughts the Outer Cosmos beings had, they had to suppress them.

But what if Lu Yuan left?

No one could guarantee whether the situation would change. No matter what, the Celestial Court had to nip off every possible crisis at its bud before it emerged.

They could not allow it to happen. Only then could they better protect the ordinary people.

Lu Yuan paid no attention to these things. From the moment he decided to leave, he had handed everything over to the young people of the Celestial Court to resolve on their own.

Now Lu Yuan had only one goal: improve his strength, so he could better face the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons in the future.

Time passed, bit by bit.

Finally, three days later at Mount Tai.

The Jiang Clan and the people of the Celestial Court had gathered.

But there were only a small portion of people from the Celestial Court, and they were all core figures.

All of them were looking in the same direction.

There stood Jiang Ningxian and Jiang Haokong.

In the middle stood Lu Yuan.

Today was the day they would leave Earth and head into the starry cosmos.
