Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

The Thunderflash Starfield was extremely vast. Compared to the Milky Way Starfield, it was much broader. Endless stars filled this place, stretching into a boundless starry sea.

Stars floated throughout space, constantly revolving. They emitted rays of light that seemed capable of remaining undying forever.

The starry sky before them was indeed vast. More importantly, at the core region, bolts of lightning appeared in succession. Neither their source or their end could be seen.

It was as if they answered the name of this starfield, where the power of thunder had always existed.

Everyone stood on a planet. Strictly speaking, they stood upon a Teleportation Dao Platform, gazing up at this starry sky.

”The Thunderflash Starfield has many planets that contain life. More than ninety percent of them are subordinate to the Celestials and revere the Celestials as supreme,” Jiang Ningxian said. Although her understanding of the Thunderflash Starfield was not deep, she was still clear about certain fundamentals.

Like many starfields, this stretch of starry sky was ruled by a single force. Within the Thunderflash Starfield, the Celestials were supreme. After all, this was one of the top hundred starfields.

Of course, there was another reason. Not every planet with life could embark on the path of cultivation. Many were like Earth before the Global Awakening, filled only with the most ordinary beings. When such beings faced existences like the Celestials, they naturally had to submit.

”Where is our destination?” Lu Yuan asked from the side.

He did not care much about this. What concerned him most was reaching their destination as soon as possible, meeting up with Jiang Taiyu and the others, and seeing those Extracosmic Heavenly Demons.

Their group had already spent more than half a month on the road. From the perspective of the entire universe, this could be called extremely short. But time was relative. Who knew what changes might have occurred in half a month?

”It is the Celestial Star, where the Celestials are located. We can reach it after passing through one more Teleportation Dao Platform. My father and some experts from other starfields are also there.”

Jiang Ningxian took a brief look before giving an answer.

The Celestial Star was the homeland of the Celestials. In other words, it was similar to Earth, where Lu Yuan was from, though many aspects were different.

The Extracosmic Heavenly Demons had already appeared there. It was also the first starfield in the entire universe where such existences had been discovered.

”There is no time to lose. Let’s set off.” Lu Yuan nodded. After passing through so many Teleportation Dao Platforms, he was already thoroughly familiar with them. Just as before, he poured power into the ground.

However, in the next moment, the entire planet began to shake. A tremendous roar resounded through heaven and earth.

The earth trembled, and enormous cracks appeared in succession, densely packed as they formed ravines.

Seeing this, Lu Yuan immediately stopped, his brows furrowing.

He sensed that if he continued, the entire planet, which was also the Teleportation Dao Platform, would likely split apart outright.

Beside him, Jiang Ningxian and her brother sensed it as well.

Doubt surfaced in their eyes.

What’s going on?

Teleportation Dao Platforms, like planets with life, were protected by some sort of world law. Unless one’s strength had reached an unimaginably terrifying degree, destroying one was almost impossible.

Yet now, something like this had happened.

”It seems someone tampered with this Teleportation Dao Platform.” Lu Yuan stood up. Without another word, he gently closed his eyes.

In the next instant, an indescribable power emerged from his body and surged continuously. It was the power of Providence from the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token and the Investiture Edict.

Buzz, buzz, buzz.

As Lu Yuan continuously released this power, the entire planet shook once more. Within the crisscrossing ravines, wisps of black aura carrying a strange power were slowly forced out.

Seeing this, Lu Yuan raised his hand. The power of Providence swept out and wrapped around the black aura, preventing it from spreading any further.

”This is... the power of the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons?” Jiang Ningxian approached and looked at the black aura before them, a trace of shock emerging in her eyes.

No wonder something had gone wrong with the Teleportation Dao Platform. The Extracosmic Heavenly Demons had acted and damaged it.

That meant they had no way to use the Dao Platform they were on to reach the Celestial Star.

”The Extracosmic Heavenly Demons must have anticipated reinforcements and tampered with it in advance,” Lu Yuan said.

He understood why this had happened.

From this, one could infer that the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons might have begun making arrangements a long time ago. Their goal was likely to cut off the Thunderflash Starfield’s connection to the outside world.

”What do we do? Without the Teleportation Dao Platform, reaching the Celestial Star will probably take an enormous amount of time. We may even lose our way in the Thunderflash Starfield and fail to find the right direction,” Jiang Haokong spoke up, a trace of worry surfaced in his eyes.

Even he was encountering this situation for the first time. Without the Teleportation Dao Platform, it was equivalent to having their route across the starfield cut off.

Admittedly, with the strength of everyone present, they could cross the starry sky, and even if they encountered some danger, it would not pose much of a problem.

The key was that the Thunderflash Starfield was too large. Even with domain points, the chances of locating a specific star were extremely low.

As previously mentioned, it was easy to become lost and fail to find the correct route. Even if there was no danger to those present, it would delay them for too long.

Beside him, Jiang Ningxian’s gaze also turned grave. She had thought the journey would go smoothly.

But she had not expected this.

”Without the Teleportation Dao Platform, it will not actually affect much. We merely need to find the correct route.” Lu Yuan suddenly spoke up with a smile in his eyes. ”I do have some methods.

”I think the time spent traveling may actually be a good thing. The Extracosmic Heavenly Demons acted against the Teleportation Dao Platform. That means their reach is probably not limited to the Celestial Star. It may very well have spread throughout the entire Thunderflash Starfield.”

His meaning was clear. He could use this opportunity to carefully investigate exactly what the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons were planning.

Another point was what role the two forces were playing in all this. These were things that had to be investigated clearly. Otherwise, what if the situation changed again?

Lu Yuan had never fought an unprepared battle, and this time, he was facing beings from beyond the world.

They were existences that the ancient sages had all treated with gravity. Naturally, he could not be careless.

Everyone beside him agreed.

Lu Yuan did not explain how to find the correct road. He merely beckoned slightly, and waves of light slowly emerged.
