Super Gene Hunting Ground

It was Long Xiang’s first time on a spaceship, and everything felt novel to her. She looked around, touched everything, and kept bombarding Yang Xiao with a bunch of questions.

Yang Xiao, tired of it, told her to go play by herself.

Liang Bao was chatting with Yang Xiao,

”Brother Yang, you are truly blessed to have four beautiful wives on Earth.”

”You could also marry a few wives on Witch Star. I think Wang Qian is pretty good, she seems to have a bit of a soft spot for you. Why not take Wang Qian in when you go back this time?”

Liang Bao smiled awkwardly and said,

”Wang Qian is nice, but she might not necessarily like me.”

”You haven’t even asked her, how do you know she doesn’t like you? Your Liang family is the Gambling King, and you have quite a bit of wealth in the Flying Leopard Empire. Wanting to marry a wife shouldn’t be difficult at all.”

Liang Bao laughed and changed the topic,

”Brother Yang, it seems like Earth has suffered some kind of disaster? There are majestic skyscrapers in the city, but surrounding them is nothing but ruins. What’s going on?”

Liang Bao had been living on the spaceship during this period, not daring to relax, because if the spaceship were attacked, returning to Witch Star would be impossible.

Yang Xiao had been back on Earth for four months, and actually had very little time for heart-to-heart chats with Liang Bao. Liang Bao knew that Yang Xiao needed to be with his wives and friends, and also had many other trivial matters to handle, so he hadn’t disturbed Yang Xiao.

The return trip would take more than a month, giving Liang Bao plenty of time to chat with Yang Xiao.

Yang Xiao sighed and briefly told Liang Bao the story of Earth’s great catastrophe.

Liang Bao’s face changed drastically upon hearing it, and after a long sigh, he said,

”The Great Dragon Empire is truly reckless and heartless to have wiped out billions of Earth’s population just to train miners for Genetic Evolution.”

”Brother Liang, there’s one question that’s always puzzled me. I suddenly remembered, when Earth went through its catastrophe, the survivors were all young people aged 18 to 22. The elderly and children either died or disappeared. What’s going on here?”

Liang Bao was taken aback,

”How could that be?”

”Exactly, I’ve always been confused. Although the buildings collapsed, they couldn’t possibly only harm the elderly and children, right?”

Liang Bao thought for a moment and said,

”Many years ago, I heard about some black technology research on Witch Star, where they were developing a biological recognition attack weapon.

This weapon could inflict targeted harm based on biological characteristics, such as gender and biological age, achieving precision damage.

However, this biological recognition targeted attack weapon was only a legend; I’ve never seen it on Witch Star.”

”Biological recognition targeted attack weapon?”

Yang Xiao looked at Liang Bao and recalled that Long Aotian had mentioned to him that the fog enveloping Earth for seven days was a kind of genetic evolution inducer. All creatures inhaling this fog would have their genes mutate.

If Liang Bao’s words were correct, and a biological recognition targeted attack weapon could indeed identify a creature’s gender and age, it would explain why only young people aged 18 to 22 survived Earth’s great catastrophe.

In other words, Long Aotian and others might have used a biological recognition targeted attack weapon to preserve only the young people aged 18 to 22, while anyone beyond that age range was killed.

Only this age group was deemed most suitable for biological Genetic Evolution, and besides, Earth’s population was too large, with very limited genetic evolution resources in the early stage. Killing off a large number of people would provide the remaining ones with sufficient evolution resources.

”How vicious!”

Yang Xiao thought to himself.

This was somewhat similar to herbicides on Earth; herbicides are a kind of genetic pesticide that kills weeds without harming crops.

Liang Bao looked at Yang Xiao and said,

”Brother Yang, although we destroyed the escaped warships of the Third Prince’s subordinates, the fact that you killed the Third Prince cannot be hidden forever. Sooner or later, someone from the Great Dragon Empire will find out,

And if the Emperor of Great Dragon learns that you killed the Third Prince, out of rage, he might send someone to attack Earth, or even annihilate all humans there. You must be prepared.”

Yang Xiao nodded,

”Your concern is exactly what I’m worried about. However, what’s done is done, and worrying is of no use now. What we must do is quickly build up Purple Origin Star. As long as the Guangfu Clan becomes strong enough on Purple Origin Star, Earth will fall under their protection. I believe no one would dare to invade Earth easily.”

Liang Bao nodded,

”Yang Xiao, you’re right. However, the overall advantage of Genetic Evolution cannot be increased in a short time, taking as little as three to five years or as long as several decades. In the meantime, you need other defensive strategies.”

”Brother Liang, what do you think I should do?”

”The simplest way is to destroy the Great Dragon Empire, permanently eliminating the threat.”

Yang Xiao was startled and looked up at Liang Bao.

”You’re not wrong, but to immediately destroy the Great Dragon Empire is unrealistic. Although they lost superpowers like Long Kui and War God from the Emperor Level Realm, their overall strength is still considerable. Not to be underestimated.

Even if the Flying Leopard Empire brought out their entire military force, it would be a pyrrhic victory, where both sides suffer significant losses. I don’t think either the Flying Leopard Empire or the Youming Empire would want to do that.”

”What do you plan to do then, Brother Yang?”

”First, we’ll return to Purple Origin Star and focus on enhancing our genetic evolution. I think the Great Dragon Empire is preoccupied and shouldn’t pay attention to the Third Prince on Earth for the time being.”

Liang Bao agreed with Yang Xiao’s plan and nodded, saying,

”Brother Yang, are you planning to rely on the Life and Death Iteration Law studied at Flying Leopard Academy to break through to the Emperor Level Realm?”

”Yes, from what I’ve read in the library, there have indeed been experts who used the Life and Death Iteration Law to break through to the Emperor Level Realm. Didn’t Elder Ye also rely on it to ascend to the Emperor Level Realm?”

”I don’t know about others, but Elder Ye? Haha, do you really think Elder Ye ascended to the Emperor Level Realm through the Life and Death Iteration Law?”

”He didn’t, did he?”

”I’m not sure, but I know a secret about Elder Ye.”

Liang Bao said as he glanced around the room, ensuring only he and Yang Xiao were present.

Yang Xiao was taken aback and looked at Liang Bao,

”A secret about Elder Ye?”

”Brother Yang, have you ever wondered why someone at the Emperor Level Realm like Elder Ye would willingly serve as a librarian at Flying Leopard Academy? Isn’t that a bit out of the ordinary?”

Yang Xiao pondered for a moment and nodded,

”It is a bit unusual, but I think Elder Ye is someone who has seen through worldly affairs, staying in the library just to cultivate himself, indifferent to worldly struggles.”

”You’ve only got part of Elder Ye right. Do you know his true background?”
