Super Gene Hunting Ground

The Second Prince’s eyes widened, rolling to the whites, a dying state of disbelief.

Seeing this, Boss Qin and a dozen guards trembled with fear.

None of them anticipated that a seemingly certain victory to surround and eliminate the enemy would turn into their own defeat.

Boss Qin and his men located Xiao He leading a thirty-man guard team, encircled and wiped them out, leaving only Xiao He and a few guards to break through.

Boss Qin and the Second Prince both believed that cutting off the Eldest Prince’s reinforcements meant it was just a matter of time to eliminate him and his allies.

The massive water screen in the air vanished, as Yang Xiao descended from above to stand in front of Boss Qin and his group.

The Eldest Prince, Liang Bao, Fan Chen, Wang Qian, and the remaining two guards also flew over to stand beside Yang Xiao.

Looking at Boss Qin, Yang Xiao sneered:

”Boss Qin, it seems the hope for you to avenge your son is gone, but I can reunite you with him.”

With that, Yang Xiao drew out the Flying Leopard Sky Hammer, prepared to effortlessly deal with the dozen people in front of him along with Liang Bao and the others.

Boss Qin’s face turned red, clenching his teeth, staring at Yang Xiao, his inner fury and hatred overwhelming, yet helplessly suppressed into deep frustration.

”Yang Xiao, if you dare to kill me, the Flying Leopard Empire won’t let you off.”

”Haha, what a joke, you all dared to kill the Eldest Prince, and I wouldn’t dare kill you? Besides, we’ve already killed the Second Prince, what’s one more of you?”

Yang Xiao said, as the Flying Leopard Thunder Hammer in his hand started emitting bright electric arcs, sizzling.

The Divine Weapons held by the Eldest Prince and the others began to emanate a killing aura, illuminating brightly.

Boss Qin finally couldn’t hold it in, addressing the Eldest Prince:

”Your Highness, as long as you don’t kill me, I’m willing to offer my fortune to support you, helping you secure the Emperor’s throne.”

The Eldest Prince laughed:

”Isn’t it too late to say this now? The Second Prince is dead, who else is left to rival me for the throne? Besides, after you die, wouldn’t your fortune become mine? Haha...”

”You?”

Boss Qin’s face suddenly turned pale, and he kowtowed with a thud,

”Your Highness, spare me, I will surely be loyal to you, I can help you in business, all the profits will be yours,”

”Such drivel!”

Yang Xiao said in a low growl, as the Flying Leopard Thunder Hammer fired a blinding bolt of lightning,

striking directly onto Boss Qin.

Boss Qin didn’t even utter a sound, instantly turning into a charred corpse, unrecognizable.

The remaining dozen guards saw this, immediately knelt down, shouting in unison:

”Spare our lives, Your Highness, spare our lives!”

The Second Prince glanced at Yang Xiao.

Yang Xiao casually said:

”Sparing your miserable lives isn’t impossible, but if the Flying Leopard Emperor asks about today’s events, what would you say?”

The dozen guards were stunned, looking at Yang Xiao.

One of the more astute guards stepped forward and said:

”If the Emperor asks, we’d say the Eldest Prince colluded with Boss Qin, attempting to assassinate the Eldest Prince, resulting in a chaotic battle taking both the Second Prince and Boss Qin’s lives.”

The guard finished speaking, looking expectantly at Yang Xiao,

”Would that work?”

”That’s the truth, you didn’t lie, it’s excellent!”

The Eldest Prince glanced at Yang Xiao, and the two exchanged a knowing smile.

The Eldest Prince said:

”You were originally under Boss Qin and the Second Prince, now that they’re dead, you can’t follow them anymore. I do need manpower, if you don’t mind, you can follow me. I’m magnanimous and won’t hold past grudges.”

Upon hearing this, they were immediately overjoyed.

Originally, they followed the Second Prince hoping he’d become Emperor someday and they could ride the coattails to success, securing more evolution resources.

Now that the Second Prince is dead, even the dullest among them could see that the Eldest Prince’s claim to the throne was almost certain. They had been eager to join him and never imagined he would extend the invitation.

The dozen guards immediately knelt down, saying:

”We wish to serve Your Highness!”

The Eldest Prince laughed heartily.

An intricately planned entrapment and counter-entrapment skirmish thus concluded.

The Eldest Prince, Liang Bao, and others secretly breathed a sigh of relief, realizing how crucial Yang Xiao’s Beast Soul had been. Had it not been for its power, today’s outcome might have been uncertain. No one foresaw that Xiao Gang’s reinforcements would be prematurely neutralized by Boss Qin and his group.

Liang Bao patted Yang Xiao’s shoulder, admiringly said:

”Brother Yang, your Beast Soul is becoming more formidable indeed. We owe you today, otherwise, who knows what might have happened.”

Wang Qian jokingly said to Yang Xiao:

”Today was a close call, Yang Xiao, with your tricky ideas. When we return, you’ll have to treat us to a meal and drinks to calm our nerves.”

Yang Xiao laughed:

”Sure, no problem.”

Fan Chen added:

”No rest until we’re thoroughly drunk!”

The group chatted and laughed, heading towards the open forest with their newly recruited dozen guards.

They had barely taken a few steps when they saw three or four figures rushing from the distant forest.

Yang Xiao saw it was Xiao Gang with three guards.

All four were covered in blood and looked disheveled.

Xiao Gang, having seen the Eldest Prince and Yang Xiao from afar, and realizing everyone was safe, hurried over excitedly and grabbed the Eldest Prince’s hand, speaking incoherently:

”Your Highness, you, you are safe?”

The Eldest Prince laughed:

”What, you hope I am not?”

”No, I, I”

Xiao Gang suddenly remembered his guard team of thirty was almost completely eliminated, his eyes dampened, his voice choked.

The Eldest Prince patted Xiao Gang’s shoulder, saying:

”I know all about it, it’s not your fault, I’m just glad you made it out.”

Xiao Gang wiped away his tears, asking:

”Where are the Second Prince and Boss Qin?”

”Both were killed by Yang Xiao.”

”Ah?”

Xiao Gang looked at Yang Xiao in disbelief,

”But they led over a hundred people?”

Yang Xiao shrugged, showing an expression of helplessness.

The crowd laughed.

...

Back at Wentian City, the Eldest Prince proactively reported the event’s details to the Emperor.

Of course, he framed the deliberate entrapment as an impromptu hunting trip to the Northern Suburb Forest, during which the Second Prince and Boss Qin launched an ambush but, fortunately, they fought bravely, losing thirty to forty guards, ultimately overcoming the assassination attempt by the Second Prince and Boss Qin.

In the chaos, Boss Qin and the Second Prince were killed.

The remaining dozen guards from Boss Qin and the Second Prince also testified, affirming that the Second Prince initiated the attack on the Eldest Prince.

The Flying Leopard Emperor sighed and said:

”They brought this upon themselves, the Second Prince and Boss Qin can only blame themselves, no one else. From now on, He’er, you are the heir to the Flying Leopard Empire’s throne. I will issue a decree to announce this to the world,

I’ll assign you a hundred-man elite guard team for twenty-four-hour protection,

And, you must focus on cultivating the Flying Leopard Divine Skill to achieve the Empire Level Advanced realm soon.”

”Yes, thank you, Father!

Father, I have one more request.”

”What is it?”

”Yang Xiao needs to transport some goods back to Purple Origin Star, and hopes we can lend him a transport ship.”

”Such matters should be handled by you in the future; I’ll grant you full authority.”

”Thank you, Father!”

...

Days later, Yang Xiao, accompanied by Flying Leopard Academy’s Vice President Deng Nan, over a hundred craftsmen, and a dozen academy instructors, boarded the starship provided by the Eldest Prince, setting off for Purple Origin Star.

Upon returning to Purple Origin Star, Yang Xiao, the Savage King, and Vice President Deng Nan began planning the specific establishment of Guangfu Academy in Guangfu City.

Yang Xiao mobilized several thousand people from Guangfu City to assist with the labor, replicating Flying Leopard Academy’s grand design and comprehensive functionality.

Building the academy wasn’t a job for a day or two; it’d take one to two years, so Yang Xiao decided to conduct basic evolution courses alongside construction.

Yang Xiao entrusted Vice President Deng Nan with overseeing the operations, coordinating with the Savage King.

With matters largely settled, Yang Xiao decided to visit Earth.

Thus, Yang Xiao gathered Xia Luo, Xiao Zhe, Long Yongjun, Zhou Qiang, Gu Beifeng, Du Tianxing, and about five to six hundred others from Xuanming Country and Earth for a meeting.

Looking at the five to six hundred people from Earth, Yang Xiao eagerly declared:

”Brothers, I’m heading back to Earth!”
