Super Gene Hunting Ground

”Kill the Second Prince?”

The Eldest Prince was startled, staring blankly at Yang Xiao for a moment before quickly ordering the doors of the parlor to be shut, while instructing guards to stand watch outside.

”Without my command, no one is allowed to enter.”

Though the Eldest Prince harbored extreme hatred towards Wanyan Ying, often contemplating his removal, such thoughts have remained internal and never truly spoken or enacted.

Liang Bao, Fan Chen, Xiao Gang, Wang Qian, and others also looked at Yang Xiao, expressions of surprise on their faces.

Xiao Gang said:

”Yang Xiao, killing the Second Prince is no joking matter. The Eldest Prince has worked hard to gain the Emperor’s trust; angering the Emperor over this could undo it all!

The Second Prince Wanyan Ying is, after all, the biological son of the Flying Leopard Emperor and a rather favored one. He wouldn’t allow us to kill the Second Prince.”

Fan Chen and others nodded.

Yang Xiao said:

”I heard the Flying Leopard Emperor sustained injuries during the battle with the Emperor of Great Dragon some years ago and has not fully recovered, right?”

The Eldest Prince nodded,

”Father’s injuries are unpredictable. Sometimes he feels despair, saying his days are numbered.”

”The Flying Leopard Emperor has more than a dozen sons and daughters. Who among them is eligible to succeed the throne?”

The Eldest Prince Wanyan He pondered for a moment and said:

”Among my father’s dozen or so sons and daughters, the one with the highest Genetic Evolution Talent is the Second Prince Wanyan Ying. He is currently the only prince at the Empire Level Advanced realm,

Additionally, Father likely values my steady governance, my resilience, and the capabilities I’ve demonstrated.”

”So, you and the Second Prince are the only candidates, and the others don’t qualify.”

Wanyan He nodded,

”You could say that.”

Yang Xiao smiled:

”If the Second Prince were to die unexpectedly, you would become the sole candidate, with no more competition, right?”

”This?”

Wanyan He was startled, looking at Yang Xiao.

Xiao Gang, Liang Bao, and others shared a sudden realization, their minds enlightened.

Yang Xiao then added,

”That’s also the reason why the Second Prince has always wanted to eliminate you.”

Wanyan He nodded,

”The Second Prince has sought many opportunities to eliminate me. Later, to avoid disaster, I quietly entered Flying Leopard Academy for cultivation, hiding for over a decade. I didn’t expect to be found by him in the end,

During the last hunting competition at the Academy, he intended to eliminate me in the forest. Fortunately, thanks to Brother Yang’s help, he didn’t succeed.”

Xiao Gang said:

”Though the Second Prince wants to eliminate us, he has always been cautious, fearing the Emperor’s knowledge.”

”Things have changed now; you both are in a stage of mutual destruction. Previously, the Second Prince believed time was on his side, that he would eventually inherit the throne. Thus, his resolve to eliminate you was not firm, nor his means decisive,

But now, upon your return to Wentian City, you lead in the succession race. He is now fighting to the death, exhausting all means, so it’s either his death or yours; you must act first.”

”However, eliminating the Second Prince won’t be easy. He has long been surrounded by an Empire Level Advanced guard team, at least thirty people. Even if we mobilize fully, we might not be able to extinguish his personal guards.”

Yang Xiao smiled and said:

”The Eldest Prince also moves with a thirty-member Empire Level Advanced personal guard team. It’s not easy for the Second Prince to eliminate us directly unless War General Wanyan Kang personally takes action,

We must break the deadlock; since direct confrontation doesn’t work, we’ll use strategy.”

”How do we use strategy?”

Everyone looked at Yang Xiao.

”Doesn’t he want to kill you? Then create an opportunity for him to do so.”

”But if we encounter War General Wanyan Kang, none of us are his match.”

”Wanyan Kang has already exposed himself today. Tomorrow, if the Eldest Prince reports him to the Emperor, even if the Emperor doesn’t punish him, he might privately warn him against interfering in the Princes’ power struggle,

I think Wanyan Kang hasn’t the courage to defy the Emperor’s orders now?”

Everyone listened and nodded in agreement.

...

A middle-aged man disguised as a barbecue vendor at the night market had a leg chopped off by Fan Chen but managed to escape using poisonous fog.

The man, barely escaping, ran to the Second Prince’s mansion seeking help.

”Your Highness, Your Highness, I’m sorry, the mission failed. I didn’t expect our poison wine plan to be uncovered by the opponent; they cut off one of my legs, and my wife was captured by them,

Your Highness, please save my wife!”

The Second Prince smiled as he looked at the middle-aged man, comforting him:

”Don’t worry, it’s nothing serious. The First War General Wang Yan Kang has personally taken action and will surely rescue your wife.”

The middle-aged man responded joyfully,

”Really? With the First War General involved, naturally, there’s no problem.”

”Bang!”

A dull sound rang out, and the man’s body jolted backward, a large hole blasted through his chest.

The man lay on the ground, staring in terror at the Second Prince Wanyan Ying,

”Your Highness, you, you,”

Wanyan Ying rubbed his fist from the attack earlier and said coldly:

”Worthless waste. Didn’t you claim your poisoning skills were great? Yet, Liang Bao and the others saw through it. You dare show your face here? Go die!”

Wanyan Ying drew a Black Long Sword and slashed towards the man on the ground.

A flash of light appeared, the fierce Killing Aura tearing through the void, instantly cutting the man into two halves from afar.

For his previous assassination attempt on the Eldest Prince, Wanyan Ying had handed his Two-star Divine Weapon, the Red Sun Sword, to his housekeeper, who was subsequently killed by Yang Xiao, resulting in the sword being taken by him.

Now the sword in his hand is close to a Two-star Divine Weapon but lacks the might of one.

The Second Prince had lamented the loss of the Red Sun Sword for a long time. As a Prince, it’s not easy to acquire a Two-star Divine Weapon.

”Drag this waste’s body out to feed my Big Black.”

The ”Big Black” mentioned by the Second Prince refers to a ferocious Demon Beast, a pet he has reared.

Guard immediately retrieved the corpse, heading towards the back courtyard of the mansion.

”Waste, infuriating!”

The Second Prince cursed loudly.

He felt as if his recent endeavors hadn’t gone smoothly, even assassinating a person was challenging.

Moments later, a figure appeared at the Second Prince Mansion.

The Second Prince quickly rose to greet,

”Uncle Kang, you’re here!”

”I’m sorry, Second Prince, I have disappointed you.”

”Uncle Kang, why say that?”

”The woman you found has been silenced by me, but I have also been exposed. Even if the Eldest Prince lacks tangible evidence, if he reports me to the Emperor, I think the Emperor will be enraged,

Therefore, starting tomorrow, I can no longer assist you in assassinating the Eldest Prince; I need to rest and avoid suspicion!”

”Is it that serious?”

”Heh, don’t you understand your father? Other matters can be negotiated, but he won’t tolerate me directly helping you assassinate the Eldest Prince.”
