Super Gene Hunting Ground

At this moment, somewhere in the Flying Leopard Mountain Range, the Qin family’s steward, Qin Lu, was with three oddly dressed, strange-looking men. Behind them were three double-headed crocodiles, each over twenty meters long.

These three were brothers, named Crocodile Little Ghost, Crocodile Middle Ghost, and Crocodile Big Ghost. They were all demon beast trainers, specialized in rearing and training demon beasts.

The three giant crocodiles behind them were intended to attack Yang Xiao.

Crocodile Little Ghost said to Qin Lu:

”Steward Qin, when shall we enter the forest to attack your enemies?”

Qin Lu replied:

”No rush, let’s wait a bit. We’ve already arranged for someone to assassinate the enemy. If he fails, that’s when we step in.”

Upon hearing this, Crocodile Middle Ghost said:

”But if your enemy has already been assassinated, how will our payment work?”

”Rest assured, the 20 billion Crystal Coins will not be reduced. Even if the enemy has been killed, I won’t short you a single coin.”

Crocodile Big Ghost chuckled:

”Alright, Steward Qin is straightforward. We brothers are not pushovers either, we won’t let you down. Brothers, let’s follow Steward Qin’s lead and stay patient.”

”But Steward Qin, how do we find your enemy in this vast forest?”

”Haha, you don’t need to worry about that. Our people will naturally guide us.”

As they were speaking, a giant bird circled in the sky and slowly descended above where Steward Qin and the others were hiding. When it was tens of meters from the ground, it transformed directly into a woman, gracefully landing not far from Steward Qin and the others.

Seeing this, Steward Qin smiled and said:

”Our person has arrived.”

Qin Lu immediately stepped out from the concealed forest and called out to the girl in the distance:

”Qin Fei, I’m here.”

The young woman called Qin Fei quickly ran over.

”Greetings, Steward Qin.”

”Where have Yang Xiao and the others gone?”

Qin Fei took out a sphere, pressed a mechanism, and a three-dimensional virtual map appeared instantly before him.

Qin Fei enlarged a part of the map, pointed in a direction, and said:

”Yang Xiao is going in this direction. We have people tracking him along the way, reporting his exact location to me every few hours.”

”Good, very good.”

”However, there’s been an unexpected development.”

”What unexpected development?”

”The number of people in Yang Xiao’s team has increased from four to six. Furthermore, their cultivation realms are quite high—a middle-level Emperor Level and an advanced one. According to the report from our monitors upfront, one of them even has a two-star Divine Weapon. Not long ago, they killed a Giant Elephant Demon Beast with super strong defense at the middle-level Emperor Level.”

Upon hearing this, Qin Lu frowned slightly,

”Oh, is that so? What are the names of the newcomers to Yang Xiao’s team?”

”Our people reported that they also do not recognize these two newcomers; their faces are unfamiliar, rarely seen before.”

Crocodile Big Ghost, at the side, then said:

”Steward Qin, could your intel have been leaked? The other side might be prepared.”

”Impossible. I personally supervised this plan; it’s absolutely impossible for information to have leaked out. Not even you know the name of the person I plan to assassinate,

Qin Fei, quickly find out the names and backgrounds of those two individuals.”

”Alright, I’ll expedite the investigation. It seems these two were temporarily assigned to Yang Xiao by Dean Xinghai.”

”Assigned by Dean Xinghai to Yang Xiao?”

Qin Lu was even more baffled.

The plan to assassinate Yang Xiao had been devised for over half a year and was arranged by him personally; logically, the information couldn’t have been leaked,

Yet, Dean Xinghai personally arranged for two experts to be by Yang Xiao’s side. What does this mean?

”There’s another situation,” Qin Fei said.

”What?”

”We noticed someone following Yang Xiao. Their cultivation realm is very high, reaching the peak of the advanced level. For now, we don’t know if they are friend or foe, causing our people to only follow from afar, not daring to get too close.”

Hearing this, Qin Lu laughed and said:

”Stay at a distance from them. It’s enough to know Yang Xiao’s general direction without exposing yourselves.”

”Rest assured, Steward Qin, we have sent two individuals with Ghostly Soul Skills. As long as they don’t reveal themselves and keep a distance, they won’t be easily discovered.”

Qin Lu nodded and sighed,

”The situation seems to have changed now. If my guess is correct, Dean Xinghai assigned two people to be with Yang Xiao to protect him. We need to act ahead of time.”

Crocodile Little Ghost said excitedly:

”Steward Qin, there’s nothing to fear. If our three beasts charge together, they can surely take down your enemy directly.”

”Qin Fei, we plan to cut across diagonally and catch up with Yang Xiao. This way, we won’t alert the instructors of Flying Leopard Academy or anyone else. Stay in touch with us.”

Qin Lu and Qin Fei discussed the specific tracking plan, and moments later, Qin Fei bade farewell, transforming into a giant bird and flying away.

Qin Lu, along with the three Crocodile Ghost brothers and the three giant crocodiles, moved diagonally according to the directions provided by Qin Fei.

...

Meanwhile, as Yang Xiao and Xiao He continued onward, three shadows began following them separately.

These three shadows were all acting alone, and their cultivation realms were extremely high.

They were the three experts from the top ten of the combat power rankings, found by Wanyan Ying, the second prince of the Flying Leopard Empire, from Flying Leopard Academy, specifically to assassinate Xiao He.

Xiao He, whose real identity was Wanyan He, was actually the eldest prince of the Flying Leopard Empire, who had been cultivating in seclusion at Flying Leopard Academy for over ten years.

Fan Ni, ranked tenth in Flying Leopard Academy’s combat power list, never imagined that at this moment, five people were following him, two sent by Qin Fei, and the other three were top ten of the combat power rankings.

Fan Ni was the first to expose himself because he was closest to Yang Xiao and the others, and he never expected others to be following Yang Xiao as well. In his opinion, to assassinate someone at the Empire Level Primary Level like Yang Xiao, he alone was more than enough, why would it require anyone else?

Fan Ni never imagined that while his target was Yang Xiao, the other three’s target was Xiao He, the eldest prince of the Flying Leopard Empire.

Of course, these three were unaware that the person they were to assassinate, Xiao He, was the eldest prince of the Flying Leopard Empire; they only knew that someone was offering a hundred billion Crystal Coins to have a foe killed.

Such matters were commonplace, nothing unusual; given the offer of a hundred billion Crystal Coins, why not participate?

...

By evening, Yang Xiao and his party of six had already slain more than ten demon beasts, most of which were at the Empire Level Primary Level, with only three at the middle-level Emperor Level.

Yang Xiao kept a giant leopard as food for a barbecue that night, while the rest of the corpses were refined and stored by Yang Xiao in the Black Bottle.
