Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys

Chapter 1548: Chapter 533: The Association and Misgivings (Part 2)

Without directly answering the old wizard, Rein thought for a moment and asked:

”Oh yes, I heard you were collecting minerals before? Reasonably speaking, you specialize in earth witchcraft and shouldn’t need so many rare minerals.”

”Lord Rein, the situation is such that, years ago, alien spider swarms began to overrun the Shirendil Plateau, and dealing with these swarms is not an easy task. Even our school suffered significant casualties.”

”And our library contains many schematics of construct creations, so we thought to try using puppets to counter the alien spider swarms. After experimenting, it turns out rock puppets and clay puppets are not as effective as metal puppets.”

”I see,” Rein nodded.

Meanwhile, he had gradually formed a rather mature plan in his mind.

Having just observed around, he found that the wizards of the Isodre School had quite a strong sense of identification with their own school. Even after this change, wanting to directly merge them into the Bixiu Mechanization School seemed unlikely.

Moreover, such a matter cannot be forcibly imposed. Regardless of whether it’s achievable, even if it were accomplished, if the other side isn’t genuinely willing to join, it would only lead to various conflicts with the original Bixiu Mechanization School wizards.

This would contradict his earlier thoughts and expectations.

Given the current situation, it seems feasible to first establish a construct association with an alliance nature, subtly pulling in and dividing them. When the time is ripe, everything would naturally fall into place.

”I think there is no need for the Isodre School to relocate. I’ve always intended to establish an association for mechanical and construct creations to share construct knowledge and collective defense. Currently, there is the Bixiu Mechanization School,” Rein said.

”If you agree to join, under the agreement of mutual defense, I believe the threats from the Tutkash School or any other threats should be manageable. I will occasionally stroll through the Shirendil Plateau.”

The two old wizards instantly understood Rein’s purpose upon hearing the former part; as living fossils, they naturally knew this wasn’t just an association but a mutual defense organization, something favored by some smaller wizard schools.

Moreover, the current Isodre School no longer has Dawn Wizard, so if they were to join, the leadership would surely fall into Rein’s hands.

However, the last part of Rein’s speech brightened the eyes of the two old wizards.

Although they could relocate the station, for a large wizard school, the change would bring numerous enemies knocking at their door. As a large school, they have various interests and conflicts, and as the school’s strength declined, others wouldn’t miss the chance to step on them.

Rein’s proposal was akin to offering them a safe haven.

Additionally, the Isodre School has been stationed on the Shirendil Plateau for a thousand years, making it their homeland. Naturally, most school wizards are unwilling to leave.

”That’s great!”

”Joint defense? Shared construct knowledge?”

Just before the two old wizards could agree, the Isodre School wizards beside had already started to discuss excitedly.

The two old wizards exchanged a look and immediately bowed respectfully to Rein, ”This is certainly a good thing. On behalf of the Isodre School, we wish to join the construct association led by Lord Rein.”

”Alright, very well.” Rein nodded and smiled.

Actually, he had another purpose, which was to use construct creations to counter the Evil God Nael Breccan’s advantage in the number of alien spider swarms.

This cannot be achieved by relying solely on the Bixiu Mechanization School wizards; their numbers fall short. But if coupled with the Isodre School wizards, and supplemented by every wizard with several construct creations for sweeping investigations, they should soon be able to clear out the alien spiders who excel at nesting underground.

Moreover, this method might gradually discover the exact location of the Secret School - Tutkash, thereby completely eliminating them.

He hoped they might surprise him again when the time comes.

....

At this moment, the giant airship in the sky had approached nearby and began slowly descending.

Several members of the empire’s high levels descended the gangway successively, led by Elder Ivan whom Rein had met once, followed by Pantoscoke, Marshal Alfred, and another marshal Rein didn’t recognize.

Witnessing this scene, the wizards of the Isodre School were taken aback, mistakenly thinking they had come to trouble them.

However, they soon realized that things seemed different from their expectations.

Before Elder Ivan could speak, Pantoscoke glanced at the field seemingly bombarded by meteorites and the corpses of giant Gorlon, and emotionally exclaimed:

”Lord Rein, you’ve gone too far. Setting aside right and wrong, have you considered that the battle with Stuttgart could lead to the city of Nirheim’s destruction?”

”By the way, where is Stuttgart?” Pantoscoke suddenly thought of a question and looked around.

”This should be what you call Stuttgart,” Rein pointed to the charred corpse on the ground not far away.

”What! Rein, you... you actually killed him!” Pantoscoke felt both astonished and delighted.

Astounded by Rein’s power being evidently so great.

He knew that even if his strength slightly surpassed Stuttgart’s, defeating Stuttgart at the Isodre School Station would be exceptionally difficult, given this was the opponent’s headquarters.
