Chapter 1518: Chapter 522: What Is He Approaching For? (Part 2)

For a moment, Rein seemed to see the vast, brilliant stars in Menia’s beautiful eyes, but more so, there was joy, shyness, and deep affection.

Moreover, Menia, contrary to her previous shyness, did not avert her gaze from Rein this time. Instead, she slightly smiled and just looked at him.

....

A few hours earlier.

On Reef Island, Federation Sword Saint Terrio was having a casual chat with Hernandez, the Water Element Dawn Wizard who had been urgently dispatched here a couple of days ago, when suddenly, they both felt a powerful aura emanating from the ground.

Immediately afterward, the ground in one area of the island suddenly erupted, and an imposing giant red dragon burst from the ground into the sky, spreading an intense and scorching aura all around.

”An Extremely Old Dragon!” Hernandez exclaimed.

The other’s formidable strength caused Hernandez’s casting to momentarily freeze.

”This aura is very unfamiliar, it shouldn’t be Rein or Prince Menia.” Even Terrio didn’t react immediately, and only after watching the dragon soar hundreds of meters into the sky did he slowly speak.

In the nearby sky, the Imperial Guardian ’Earth Pulsation,’ Reginald, who was patrolling with his giant dragon companion Ted at a low altitude, suddenly saw a huge red dragon taking off from Reef Island and naturally sped up to pursue it.

”Huh? The mark of the Dragan?” The Ancient Red Dragon Fermo’s enormous dragon eyes naturally saw Reginald, Yellow Dragon Ted, and the Imperial Airship behind him.

”Esteemed and powerful red dragon Crown, I am Reginald, the Guardian of the Dragan Empire, I greet you!” Feeling the powerful aura fluctuations of the other, Reginald stood on the back of his giant dragon companion Ted and bowed slightly.

”Oh, are you part of that beautiful human Menia’s entourage?” Fermo immediately reacted to something.

”Have you seen Prince Menia?”

Hearing the name ’Menia’ from the mouth of this Extremely Old Dragon, Hernandez’s eyes instantly lit up, unconcerned about the other’s misrepresentation, and asked immediately.

”Yes, she and her partner are in the molten lava lake below, but I advise you to wait for half a day before seeking her, as she is currently healing her injuries.” The Ancient Red Dragon Fermo said meaningfully.

Then, without waiting for Reginald to ask anything further, the Ancient Red Dragon Fermo flapped his wings and accelerated away.

”Partner? Could it be Lord Rein? This...” Reginald watched the departing, extraordinarily powerful unfamiliar red dragon, naturally unable to block him again.

Thinking for a moment, he decided to heed this unfamiliar red dragon’s advice and wait before acting. If they really disturbed Prince Menia’s healing, that would be a grave mistake.

However, this good news needs to be communicated to the Federation first. Additionally, the whereabouts of this powerful red dragon should be temporarily tracked. If he’s deceived them, when Elder Ivan arrives, they’ll certainly make him pay.

...

Upon hearing the news from Reginald, both Terrio, Hernandez, and even Federation Deputy Speaker Bertrand and Trena, who were rushing to Reef Island, were overjoyed!

”Crown Reginald, I’ve already contacted the coast-faring Federation fleet and lookout posts, and they will monitor the direction of that unfamiliar red dragon. However, if he heads to an uninhabited area, we’re afraid we won’t be able to track him.” Sword Saint Terrio said.

”Hmm, just knowing the general direction is sufficient.” Reginald nodded and replied.

”Do we really not need to go down and check?”

”Not for now, there’s no need for that red dragon to lie. We’ll wait for half a day, and if there’s still no movement after that, we’ll go down together to search.” Reginald suggested.

”Alright!” Hearing this from Reginald, the deputy head of the Empire Delegation, Sword Saint Terrio naturally didn’t have much more to say, nodded his head and agreed.

...

Half a day soon passed by!

Just as Deputy Speaker Bertrand, Sword Saint Terrio, and many other high-ranking officials were feeling a little anxious.

They saw Menia and Rein emerging hand in hand, exceptionally intimate, from a crevice in the ground, causing Sword Saint Terrio and Hernandez’s eyes to begin widening gradually and eventually round, exchanging a glance with each other, seeing the shock in each other’s eyes.

Because both of them, being mature individuals, could tell immediately from Prince Menia’s current demeanor and the level of closeness with Rein, that these two had likely confirmed some kind of relationship akin to a couple.

Hernandez couldn’t help but sigh and say, ”I always thought we were just less powerful than this young Lord Rein. But now it seems, it might not just be that...”

”Indeed, being outmatched in strength is one thing, but to think in this domain as well...”

Which left Terrio and Hernandez utterly puzzled.

It was known that although Rein was very powerful, a rising star among the younger generation of the Empire, compared to Prince Menia, there was still a noticeable gap in terms of status and background.

Moreover, they had heard many years ago that the Empire’s ’Red Queen’ Prince Menia treated men, regardless of their power or appearance, with indifference.

Could it be that Rein had cast some kind of mind-altering witchcraft on the ’Red Queen’ Menia?

If the two hadn’t known about Rein’s character, they might have already pulled Rein aside for a thorough interrogation.

Lastly, there was another point, this time Prince Menia’s visit to the Federation as a representative of the Empire, her majestic demeanor, extensive knowledge, powerful prowess, and near-perfect appearance and figure had already drawn the attention of numerous Federation elites.

Among them were many epic-level strong individuals like themselves, yet not one managed to catch Prince Menia’s eye.

In short, during Prince Menia’s visit to the Federation representing the Empire, she had become the recent dream goddess of Federation men, regardless of power or age.

But what was unexpected was that this most dazzling and formidable rose of the Dragan Empire was plucked by Lord Rein.

...

A similar thought was naturally lingering in the mind of ’Earth Pulsation’ Reginald and refused to dissipate.

Recalling when he and his giant dragon partner Ted were pursuing that powerful Extremely Old Dragon level red dragon Fermo earlier, what the other said in confusion immediately made sense to him.

However, unlike Terrio and Hernandez, Reginald, as an Imperial Guardian, having known Menia for many years, viewed this matter from a different perspective than the two.

But there was one commonality.

Even if he were beaten to death, Reginald wouldn’t understand how Rein managed to establish a couple’s relationship with Prince Menia?

....

Deputy Speaker Bertrand was equally astonished, but for him, the relationship between Rein and Menia was less relevant. Most important was that both were alive and well, which was his primary concern.

Over the past few days, he felt like he’d lost half his hair.

If something unfortunate had indeed happened to them, as a representative of the United Faction and the primary host of the Empire Delegation, he would be unable to shirk responsibility, and his political career in the Federation might very well have ended!

A fortunate relief!

...

”Prince Menia, seeing you safely return has truly made me very happy.” Bertrand stepped forward and sincerely expressed.

At that moment, Menia’s beautiful face blushed slightly, as if still recovering from earlier intimacy with Rein. However, upon realizing that so many people were awaiting her, she shyly withdrew her hand from Rein’s.

”Lord Bertrand, I apologize for the concern I have caused you and the other Crowns.” Menia bowed slightly, speaking appropriately.

”The one who should apologize is me, Prince Menia. Please allow me to express, on behalf of the Federation, my sincere apologies to you and the fallen Empire soldiers in this incident, hoping that this unexpected event won’t affect our subsequent close cooperation.”

”Especially regarding the Sea God Sect, I suggest we unite and deliver a substantial blow to them!”

...

As Bertrand and Menia conversed, the beautiful Trena’s eyes continuously scanned Rein and Menia.

There was one thing she could not deny, the absolute beauty of Menia, with a face devoid of any wrinkles and an impressive figure, was indeed a top-level mature woman.

”Indeed, the reports weren’t wrong, Rein has a special preference for mature women.”

”But then, why was his reaction different towards me that day...” Trena pondered, lowering her gaze to her own equally impressive figure, and inwardly sighed deeply.

”Indeed, compared to Prince Menia, I do fall short by half a measure....
