Chapter 1502: Chapter 516: Ancient Sea Beast Glasers (Part 2)

”Hmm, according to your analysis, the likelihood is very high. Therefore, we must seize control of this island!” Sword Saint Terrio pointed ahead at the island that appeared to have been struck by a meteorite, presenting a giant crater.

”Exactly! Lord Terrio, we’re quite close to the Federation here, could you possibly contact the high command of the Federation and request additional support from their forces?”

”Of course, no problem.” Terrio nodded emphatically.

...

Zetaya.

The top floor of the city hall, in the first luxurious office on the right side of the corridor, was temporarily used as Vice Speaker Bertrand’s office during his stay in Zetaya.

At this moment, Bertrand was discussing with Councilwoman Trena the precautions for the subsequent exploration of the Floating City Ruins.

Suddenly, an attendant knocked urgently at the door and said:

”Emergency military report, Vice Speaker! The Empire delegation was ambushed by the Sea God Sect on their return journey, and the Nether Sea Goddess’s avatar has personally descended. The Empire delegation is currently in critical danger!”

”What!” Vice Speaker Bertrand froze for a moment upon hearing this news, then abruptly stood up, his complexion changing drastically, and shouted in anger:

”Quick! Deploy the nearest Imperial Navy patrol fleet and airships for support! At all costs, we must rescue the Empire delegation!”

”Yes!” The attendant saluted immediately and hurriedly turned to run out of the office.

”Bang!”

At this moment, Bertrand, his face showing frustration, slammed the heavy mahogany table and gritted his teeth, ”Sea God Sect!!”

Congresswoman Trena, standing beside, was witnessing Vice Speaker Bertrand’s loss of composure for the first time, yet she was not surprised.

Because, as a Federation councilwoman, she instantly understood the grave nature of the situation!

If... that would be terrible!

A divine avatar personally ambushing?

Even though she held great confidence in Rein’s combat power, the opponent was a god!

This cast a shadow over Trena’s mind.

However, the situation remained unclear, and there might still be a turnaround.

But less than two minutes later, the next piece of intelligence nearly caused Bertrand to faint on the spot!

”Report! Latest intelligence indicates that Prince Menia of the Empire is presumed dead, Lord Rein is missing, and only ’Earth Pulse’ Reginald survives. Additionally, the Empire’s airship fleet is almost completely destroyed.” The attendant reported urgently.

Trena, standing beside, upon hearing this news, was at a loss for words for some time, but she quickly realized the problematic wording in the report. One must understand that military reports cannot be so vague, and she immediately rebuked:

”What do you mean by presumed? What do you mean by missing?! Is there no definite news?”

Trena’s words seemed to inject new life into Bertrand, as he also reacted and said, ”What are the intelligence departments doing? I demand confirmation! Understand?”

”Sirs, this... this information has been confirmed by Lord Sword Saint Terrio.” Bertrand’s roar left the attendant momentarily at a loss, but he responded quickly, immediately providing a key piece of information.

”Lord Terrio has already arrived?” Bertrand’s expression slightly relaxed.

”Yes, Sir. Lord Terrio is currently fighting fiercely against the Sea God Sect alongside Lord Reginald of the Empire, aiming to seize control of Reef Island.”

”Reef Island?”

Bertrand had never heard of this island before today.

”Yes, Sir. Reef Island was the last battleground for Prince Menia and Lord Rein against the Nether Sea Goddess’s avatar. Lord Terrio’s opinion is that in order to fully confirm the situation, we need to capture control of Reef Island.”

”However, the Sea God Sect shows no intention of retreating. Instead, they’ve gathered more and more powerful and elite fighters, and both sides have thus erupted into fierce battles.”

”Transmit my order, urgently coordinate with the closest Federation forces around Zetaya, and have them provide the quickest support to this... what...”

”Reef Island,” the attendant reminded softly.

”Yes, exactly, to Reef Island! Additionally, immediately contact the Federation’s Second Fleet stationed in Zetaya and the Seventh Airship Squadron to assist Lord Terrio.”

”Yes, Sir.” The attendant hurriedly dashed out once more.

With orders swiftly passed through Zetaya, one by one, Federation warships sounded their whistles setting sail from the port, while several combat airship squadrons flew across the sky, and the Federation’s massive machinery started to operate quickly.

...

Simultaneously.

Hundreds of meters below ground in a sea cave on Reef Island.

Rein was unaware of what was happening on the sea surface.

At this moment, he was studying an ancient mermaid girl before him, whose lifelike beauty was seldom seen in the world, especially her seemingly imperishable delicate body, unheard of before.

After a long examination, Rein shook his head and gave up.

He lacked knowledge in this field, completely unfamiliar with the history or secrets of ancient mermaids. Perhaps, when Prince Menia awoke, she might offer some helpful suggestions.

Thinking for a moment, Rein cast Metal Morphing Spell, transforming the magic-infused silver on his wrist into a ribbon, which he wrapped around her delicate body.

Of course, the main purpose was not confinement but warning.

Even though she was unconscious, in case of any unexpected events, this arrangement would give him enough time to respond.

At this moment, Rein suddenly turned to look at Menia, who was in deep meditation, because he sensed that the surrounding fire element energy particles were being absorbed by Menia.

”Hmm, does recovering from injuries require the absorption of large amounts of fire element energy particles?”

Rein immediately noticed the surrounding free fire element energy particles were being almost completely absorbed by Menia.

And Menia’s slightly furrowed eyebrows seemed to indicate that she needed more fire element energy particles.

Rein knew this differed from casting witchcraft, where one consciously used spiritual power to draw mysterious side energy particles from subspace. In this situation, it was simply an unconscious act of Menia in deep meditation, naturally unable to draw fire element energy particles from subspace.

With slight contemplation, Rein cast a Fire Witchcraft ’High Temperature Force Field’.

Sure enough, as fire element energy particles gathered, Menia’s slightly knitted brows began to relax.

However, Rein did not expect Menia’s deep meditation, or rather healing process, to last unexpectedly long, with no signs of awakening after more than half a day.

And Rein continued to cast Fire Witchcraft ’High Temperature Force Field’ beside her, helping guide fire element energy particles indirectly.

”This won’t do. At this rate, I can’t accomplish anything.”

”Hmm, right, this place seems to be an island formed by an undersea volcanic eruption. Whether dead or active, there is likely a magma lake below.”

”Prince Menia’s current condition would benefit the most from being near magma, just like that ancient fire dragon ’Anguskin’.”

”In special environments, the concentration of fire element energy particles greatly exceeds that of ordinary environments. That’s why fire element giant dragons enjoy soaking in magma.”

Rein’s eyes sparkled at his realization, and he immediately decided to give it a try.

For someone who had long mastered the metal series dawn killing move ’Blade-toothed Disc’, his excavation capability surpassed modern tunnel-boring machines dozens of times over, making it as easy as pie to bore a tunnel.

Rein slightly distanced himself, then stooped and placed one hand on the ground. With a flash of dense dark silver metal ripples, a high-speed rotating disc appeared on the ground, rapidly burrowing downward.

Its speed was akin to a blade cutting through tofu!

”Hiss!”

A few minutes later.

Rein sensed he had reached an underground cavity below, with a wave of heat swiftly emerging from the hole.

”Indeed, an area of magma below!”

Thinking it through, Rein first returned to Menia’s side, arranging a simple covering witch array, before swiftly leaping into the newly dug hole.

For safety’s sake, he certainly couldn’t directly bring Menia down; at least he had to scout ahead first.

...

In the sky above the Summer Sea.

An airship bearing the emblem of the Imperial dragon’s head was speeding towards the Empire’s territory.

This was the Storm, the only airship among the Empire delegation’s fleet that didn’t turn back and was instead tasked with urgently reporting back to the Empire.

Inside the captain’s cabin, the scene was tense and busy.

”Quick! Discard unnecessary supplies, full speed ahead!”
