Chapter 1540: Chapter 530: Two Hits to Slay Gorlon

”Oh? Judging by your expression, do you have a backup plan?”

Facing the earth-shattering commotion, Rein remained calm and said indifferently.

Suddenly, two gigantic arms burst forth from the ground, resembling humanoid arms at least thirty to forty meters long and four to five meters in diameter.

Next, a grotesque head emerged from beneath the earth.

The head was as large as a house, with a mouth grinning to the extreme limits of the sides of its cheeks, as if extending further would cause it to crack to the back of its head. But what was most striking was the massive cyclops eye in the center of its forehead, above the mouth.

The whites of the eye contained a large amount of blood-red color, while the pupil was yellow-brown, exuding a sense of violence, bloodthirstiness, and condescension toward all beings!

When the whole body, resembling marble-like textured thick flesh, was revealed, everyone realized the entity was astonishingly tall, resembling an ape magnified dozens of times!

”Gorlon... (Ancient Common Language)”

A low, thunderous yet slow roar emanated from its blood-soaked mouth, like the sound of a thousand leather drums being struck simultaneously, reverberating across the wild!

This scene frightened many First Level Fogging Stage Wizards from the Isodre School, who instinctively stepped back in fear.

”What...what kind of monster is this?!”

”Seems like the Gorlon Giant that was thought to be extinct!” A Second Level Liquidization Wizard said in shock, as if recalling something, and blurted out.

”The Gorlon Giant? It’s said that their adult strength reaches the Epic Late or even Epic Peak, and they can tear giant dragons apart with their bare hands?”

”But how is there a living Gorlon Giant under the school’s base?”

”Who cares! Our school’s enemy now is this Rein. With a Gorlon Giant here, the opponent must flee in defeat!”

....

For a moment, the Wizards of the Isodre School were vigorously discussing!

”The Gorlon Giant has resurrected?!”

Unlike regular school wizards, the two Crystalization Peak stage wizard elders exchanged shocked glances, followed by deep apprehension and confusion.

Because as Isodre School’s ’fossil’ figures, they were naturally aware of the origins of the Gorlon Giant before them.

This originated from a school exploration of an ancient ruin five or six hundred years ago, when the school wizards found a long-dead yet well-preserved Gorlon Giant corpse!

Yes, a corpse!

Due to the Gorlon Giants’ inherent ability to manipulate earth and rock, even the corpse would spontaneously gather earth element energy particles, providing immense research value for Earth Wizards.

Thus, it was kept as a secret, stored deep within the school’s underground hall for hundreds of years.

Both for high rank wizards’ research.

And to enhance the particle density from the mysterious side of the base, strengthening the effects of the witch array.

”But how could it come back to life?? Our school isn’t an undead...”

In an instant, the two wizard elders shuddered, recalling Rein’s earlier words, suddenly understanding something.

Both discreetly took a few steps back, moving away from their sect leader Stuart.

”The Gorlon Giant! What a nice surprise.” Rein remarked as he observed, expressing his realization.

”But I smell a strong stench of decay, I somewhat understand why Stuart and the Tutkash School have been so ’harmonious’ together.”

Utilizing the keen spiritual power perception from his Dawn Late Stage, Rein immediately detected the Gorlon Giant’s original pure and dense earth element energy fluctuations were incongruently mixed with plenty of undead energy, along with a hidden, sinister, and grand aura.

”Shut up!” Stuart, with a fleeting flush of embarrassment, shouted in an irritated and angry tone.

It’s clear that the Gorlon Giant had died long ago. Even with the tireless research from generations of high rank wizards at Isodre, they could only utilize it to this extent.

But Stuart was unwilling.

Especially with his own strength long stuck at the Dawn Early Peak bottleneck, he thought about using undead witchcraft.

Because if the Gorlon Giant could be successfully resurrected, regardless of returning to Epic Peak strength, even achieving Epic Late stage would be enough to elevate him to the Empire’s top tier power!

Perhaps, it could also allow him to smoothly break through to the Dawn Middle Stage!

So gradually, he began contacting the Tutkash School, even eventually allowing their full action on the Shirendil Plateau.

Of course, he also set limits for the actions of the Tutkash School, and previously Empire Guardians had come to the Shirendil Plateau without noticing the link between these exotic spider nests and the Tutkash School, merely regarding it as an alien species invasion.

But now, Rein had uncovered the connection between the actions and further discovered his and the Tutkash School’s secret alliance.

This led Stuttgart to decide Rein must be finished here. Even by reviving the Gorlon Giant that wasn’t fully transformed into an undead, Rein needed to be utterly finished here.

Otherwise, once Rein escapes back to the Imperial City, he’d find no place for solace within the empire.

”Though not perfect, killing you is surely adequate!” Stuart said deeply.

The Gorlon Giant wasn’t fully undead yet, but it had Middle Stage Peak strength. Coupled with the school’s large witch array, the ’Quicksand Trap,’ even confronting high rank wizards in the Dawn Late Stage would bring them great distress.
