Chapter 1397: Chapter 474: Magic-tailed Three-headed Sea Dragon (Part 2)

”Well... Prince Menia, it’s quite a dishonor for your first visit to the Federation.”

”But you’re right, since the opponent has appeared, we must seize the war opportunity.”

”How about we go to the City Hall to hold a pre-battle meeting now?” The Federation Deputy Speaker Bertrand was not a hesitant person and immediately made a decision.

”I think perhaps we can hold the pre-battle meeting on the airship, what do you think?” Menia smiled and said.

”You are so considerate, Prince Menia. If you don’t mind, you can take our airship, and the pre-battle meeting will be held on our airship.” Bertrand slightly bowed and said.

”Well, then I’ll trouble you.” Menia nodded and said.

...

Everyone immediately turned around and quickly boarded the airship.

Lord Rein and other important figures, together with ’Red Queen’ Menia, headed to the airship arranged by the Federation.

Walking along a long pier, Rein once again saw the Federation’s giant behemoth-like airship.

Behind the giant airship, there were six medium airships side by side.

Each of these six airships had many thick steel cables hanging below.

Rein looked down at the anchorage station along the numerous steel cables and saw many people busy on the ground fixing the cables to three large devices covered with tarpaulin.

Judging by the shape revealed from beneath the tarpaulin, this seemed to be some kind of giant magic statue.

This could not help but arouse Rein’s curiosity, making him glance a few more times.

...

Soon enough, the Federation’s airship fleet and the Empire delegation’s airship fleet both took off, flying side by side swiftly towards another city, Obedin, on the Federation’s West Coast.

At this time, Rein had already come to the conference room of the Federation’s giant airship ’Maken’ with everyone.

Since it was a last-minute decision, the conference room had no nameplates, and Rein casually found a seat to sit down, but just as he sat down, a waft of fragrance came by his side.

The girl who had been frequently observing him earlier sat seemingly nonchalantly in the seat next to him.

Seeing Rein look up at her, the girl slightly smiled and said:

”Hello, Lord Rein, I am Rebecca, part of the Federation Mechanical Research Institute and the person in charge of the Ajax Magic Statue this time.”

”Hello, Rebecca.”

Although he could tell that Rebecca seemed to be approaching him deliberately, it was within his expectation.

When in the Imperial City Tamriel, Hamadi had communicated with him about this, so it was natural someone from the Federation would come to contact him.

However, Rein did not expect that the person approaching him was not a stern intelligence officer like Hamadi but rather seemed to be a talented girl proficient in magic statues.

Honestly, Rein was very interested in the so-called Ajax Magic Statue being developed by the Federation.

Although there was no sight of its actual combat power yet, judging by its size, its combat strength should not be low, but who knows how it would fare against the Destroyer Demon Statue?

”I heard that Lord Rein is also a Metal Series Wizard; are you interested in the making of magic statues?” The girl’s bright eyes looked at Rein as she spoke.

”Oh? It seems Miss Rebecca is quite familiar with me. Indeed, I am very interested in magic statues.”

”That’s great, maybe we can exchange some insights on the subject.”

...

As the two were chatting, the meeting officially began.

”Respected Prince Menia, please allow me to first introduce the Federation’s preparations and plans...” A Federation officer, who was clearly an advanced general, quickly began to speak.

”...This time, we have prepared three newly developed Ajax Super Giant Magic Statues to engage in a frontal battle with the Magic-tailed Three-headed Sea Dragon.”

”Of course, this is actually a tactic aimed at attracting the Magic-tailed Three-headed Sea Dragon’s attention.”

”Meanwhile, we hope the Empire can cut off the opponent’s retreat, trapping the Three-headed Sea Dragon on the Obedin Coast, preventing it from retreating back to the deep sea.”

”Cutting off the opponent’s retreat? That’s not a problem. But to avoid the Magic-tailed Three-headed Sea Dragon detecting our encirclement, we need to detour from a remote area, which will take about five minutes.” Menia nodded and said.

”So, can the Ajax Magic Statues hold off the Three-headed Sea Dragon for those five minutes?”

The tactic of encircling the Magic-tailed Three-headed Sea Dragon had been attempted by the Empire before.

But the problem was, the Magic-tailed Three-headed Sea Dragon was quite cunning and would quickly retreat into the deep sea once it sensed more than three Epic Level battle powers.

”Well...” The advanced general hesitated for a moment and looked at the Federation Deputy Speaker Bertrand.

However, before Bertrand could say anything, the girl beside Rein suddenly stood up and spoke:

”Respected Prince Menia, the ’Ajax’ Super Giant Magic Statue is currently the highest crystallization of magic statue technology from our Federation Mechanical Research Institute, and if controlled by a Crystallization Wizard, each one can exert Epic Level power.”

”Although it’s only at the initial Epic stage, with three of them, I think they should be able to withstand the Magic-tailed Three-headed Sea Dragon for a quarter of an hour.”

The one speaking was the girl who had proactively sat next to him, Rebecca.

Rein couldn’t help but look at her with surprise.

He didn’t expect this girl to be so bold as to voice her opinion directly to Red Queen Menia.

Upon hearing the girl’s words, ’Red Queen’ Menia glanced at her and nodded, saying:

”I think you misunderstood my point. I don’t doubt the combat power of the Federation’s new magic statues, but using them against the Three-headed Sea Dragon might not be secure enough.”

”I have a question here. Why has the activity pattern of the Magic-tailed Three-headed Sea Dragon suddenly changed?” Menia looked around at the people present and slowly said.

Upon hearing this question, the people present all showed a slight change in expression and began to whisper among themselves.

”Yes! It’s uncharacteristic.”

”Prince Menia hit the nail on the head.”

”Could it be...” Some seemed to have realized something.

...

’Red Queen’ Menia looked at Federation Deputy Speaker Bertrand and Councilor Trena and said, ”I suspect that the opponent’s strength may have mostly recovered.”

”You mean...” Hearing Menia’s words, Bertrand immediately felt a sinking feeling.

Everyone present also looked serious.

It was known that the combat power expressed by the previous Magic-tailed Three-headed Sea Dragon, though terrifying, was approximately at the late Epic stage.

But if the opponent’s strength had recovered partially...

Then it might reach Epic Peak Level battle power!

The threat level skyrockets!

Moreover, the current strategic plan was designed based on the strength previously exhibited by the Magic-tailed Three-headed Sea Dragon.

In other words, if what ’Red Queen’ Menia said was true, and the Three-headed Sea Dragon’s strength had indeed recovered to Epic Peak, then even Rebecca, who had the most confidence in the Ajax Super Giant Magic Statues, would not believe that their three Ajax Magic Statues could withstand the opponent.

”Of course, the above is just my personal judgment.”

”What I mean to say is, perhaps we should prepare more thoroughly.”

Upon hearing Menia’s words, Federation Deputy Speaker Bertrand whispered something to Trena beside him and then turned to Menia, saying:

”Prince Menia, we have already contacted Terrio Paulo, and by time estimation, we should be able to arrive at the Obedin Coast as planned.”

Menia had also heard of Terrio and knew him to be an Epic Level strongman of the Federation.

”Hmm, in that case, I have no further issues on my end.”

”Vice Chairman, we also need to return to our airship to make some preparations.”

”Of course, Prince Menia, let us proceed according to the plan!”

...

Minutes later, the joint airship flotilla of the Federation and Empire began to split, one to the left and the other to the right.

The Federation’s airship fleet flew straight towards the destination city Obedin Coast ahead, while the Empire’s airships moved in an arc encirclement towards the sea.

Suddenly, the alarm on the Empire’s airship rang out loudly!

”Attention, everyone! Magic-tailed Three-headed Sea Dragon spotted!” the lookout shouted.
