Chapter 1396: Chapter 474: Magic-tailed Three-headed Sea Dragon

With the Dragan Empire’s airship fleet gradually landing at the official airship dock near Westin City Hall.

A group of people led by an elderly man were already waiting at the docking point.

Rein also spotted a familiar face—the Federation’s envoy who previously visited the Empire, Special Envoy Trena.

Today, she was clearly dressed with special care.

Trena was wearing a waist-cinched, light white silk blouse with wide sleeves, elaborately adorned with lace at the collar and cuffs, exuding a subtle opulence in both material and craftsmanship.

Her lower body attire was relatively simple, a pair of form-fitting and elastic black riding pants, which excellently outlined her voluptuous curves.

The entire ensemble was luxurious yet practical.

Despite her status as a Federation envoy, she stood half a step behind the elderly man.

Evidently, this elderly man was the principal host, holding a position above Trena.

Rein could sense that although this man was also a Transcendent, his level of competence was not high, approximately at the Knight Peak or Great Knight level.

This is the difference compared to the Empire.

Although individual strength isn’t particularly formidable, he is the Federation’s Deputy Speaker, meaning that in the Federation, personal strength is not the sole determinant of status.

Upon seeing Prince Menia in a red Wizard Robe step off the gangway first, the Federation crowd immediately greeted him with smiles.

”Your Highness Prince Menia, welcome to the Federation, this is our Federation Deputy Speaker, Bertrand Ruiz.” Trena introduced with a smile.

”Welcome to the Federation, Prince Menia.” The elderly man named Bertrand said with a radiant smile.

”Bertrand, you are too kind; it’s an honor for me to visit the Federation.” Menia nodded with a smile.

....

The official diplomacy segment followed, and Menia also briefly introduced his entourage.

”This is Guardian Reginald from our Dragan Empire.”

”Welcome to the Federation, Lord Reginald...”

”This is Lord Rein, representative of our Imperial Swordsmen.”

”Lord Rein, you are truly young...”

...

”Lord Rein, we meet again.” At this point, Trena elegantly approached, smiling.

”Lady Trena, long time no see, your charm remains unchanged.” Rein slightly bowed.

”Oh? You two know each other?”

’Red Queen’ Menia’s eyes flickered with surprise, and she lingered her gaze on Rein for a moment.

”Yes, Your Highness Menia, during my visit to the Empire, we were attacked by Corruption Dragon Agnes, and at that time, it was Lord Rein who ensured our safety.”

”Indeed it was.”

...

After some casual conversation, the Federation staff escorted the Empire Delegation towards Westin City Hall.

The first banquet hall was already adorned with flowers, ready for the subsequent welcome ceremony.

However, as they walked, Rein subtly sensed a feeling of scrutiny.

He noticed one gaze seemed to frequently settle on him amidst the crowd.

To others, this observation might be subtle, but for him, a Fourth Level Dawn Wizard, the repeated scrutiny was very apparent.

Thus, Rein slightly turned his head and spotted the observer.

The observer was a young woman, quite beautiful, but he was certain he had never met her before.

’Perhaps because among the Empire’s delegates, I am relatively young?’

However, since she had been observing him persistently from the beginning, Rein couldn’t help but pay more attention to her.

Interestingly, the weak particles around her were so familiar to Rein.

They were also Metal Series particles.

’A Metal Series Wizard? Interesting.’

Rein couldn’t help but ponder.

...

Just as the group headed towards the banquet hall.

Suddenly, a man in Federation military uniform quickly approached Federation Deputy Speaker Bertrand, whispering a few words.

Including Rein, whether it was ’Red Queen’ Menia or ’Earth Pulse’ Reginald, they were all Dawn Wizards, exceptionally perceptive, so even without deliberately listening, they effortlessly heard what was being said.

”Sir, signs of the Magic-tailed Three-headed Sea Dragon have been discovered at sea, the entity is swiftly advancing towards the West Coast city of Obedin, expected to arrive in half an hour, your thoughts....”

”Hmm? Didn’t it just attack ten days ago... According to your military’s assessment, the Three-headed Sea Dragon wouldn’t be capable of launching an attack for at least another week...”

Upon hearing the officer’s words, Federation Deputy Speaker Bertrand furrowed his brows and responded.

From his expression, he was clearly conflicted.

Because according to diplomatic protocol, naturally, the guests should first familiarize themselves with the Federation’s customs, attend the welcome banquet to deepen rapport, and then discuss cooperation and other matters.

But who would have thought the Magic-tailed Three-headed Sea Dragon would appear at this moment.

According to its attack pattern, typically after one attack, it wouldn’t launch another for half a month.

Yet now, it was clearly defying the norm.

”Vice Chairman, since the Magic-tailed Three-headed Sea Dragon has appeared, we should seize the opportunity.” Just then, Menia, who had long observed Bertrand’s conflicted demeanor, spoke up.

”If the Federation is already prepared.”

”This...” Bertrand was slightly stunned but quickly realized.
