Chapter 1366: Chapter 462: Dawn

Just as Menia was about to awaken, suddenly, Dalian furrowed his brow slightly and said, ”Please wait a moment, Prince Menia.”

Upon finishing his words, Dalian reached out and lightly tapped the mark on the chest of his wizard robe, causing specks of starlight to immediately spread forth, forming a circular star map before him.

From the star map, a middle-aged astrologer with an anxious expression quickly appeared, and he hastily spoke:

”Your Crown, Dalian, the Marn Province, Moselle Province, Sava Province... seven or eight provinces have shown abnormal energy fluctuations.”

”Preliminary investigations indicate that it’s likely that the cult is holding a prayer ceremony, with a considerable possibility of an evil entity reawakening, or the projection or avatar of an Evil God descending. It is recommended that the Guardians head over to deal with it immediately.”

”Hmm? The cults are collaborating?” Menia, in a red wizard robe, naturally heard this statement as well.

”No... their objective is to spread their beliefs freely within the Empire’s territory. Most of the cults are arch-enemies with each other.”

”It should only be a form of cooperation to some extent, as ultimately, for them, the Empire is the common enemy.” Dalian shook his head and replied.

From the intelligence just gathered, it seems that all the major cults are just becoming more active within their own power zones and are not united in the true sense.

”Since that’s the case... Your Crown, Dalian, after I awaken Crown Straz, there will be no need for others to accompany us.” Menia pondered for a moment and said.

Initially, according to the plan, in addressing this descent of Void Mother Tree Ganisir, the Empire intended, apart from dispatching the Red Dragon King Straz, whose power rivals that of a demigod, to also gather five other Guardians to join in the operation.

The plan was to take a sweeping strike to completely eradicate the backbone of the Mother Tree Sect and severely damage the Void Mother Tree!

However, given the current circumstances, for the stability of the Empire’s territory situation, it would not be advisable to mobilize the other Imperial Guardians.

”This... won’t it be too risky?”

”Rest assured, with Crown Straz there, there’s no need for concern. Don’t forget, Lothar and Reginald are also there, plus the epic-level powerhouse of the Elf Clan, there shouldn’t be any issues.”

”Alright, Prince Menia, then please have the trouble to awaken Crown Straz.” Dalian thought for a moment, but could not come up with a more suitable solution at the time.

”Hmm.” Menia nodded.

”Great Guardian Giant Dragon of the Empire—Straz, scion of Dragon, I call upon you from your slumber.... Facing the threat of an Evil God... we need your majesty to deter evil....”

As Menia softly intoned the oath, Dalian could distinctly feel the ground begin to tremble slightly, and simultaneously, an overwhelmingly terrifying aura arose within the vast nest.

As a Grand Astromancer, Dalian naturally knew many secrets of the Dragon Empire.

For instance, only a direct descendant of the Imperial Royal Family of Dragon could, through a contract oath, awaken before him the Red Dragon King Straz.

Should another person attempt the awakening, the outcome would likely be dire.

It’s known that generally, dragons awakened after being disturbed have a rather foul temper, and red dragons, in particular, are among the most eminent, so they would likely swat the awakeners to death instantly.

Moreover, Dalian was aware that Straz, as the Red Dragon King, was also known as the ’Throne of Flames’ and possessed extraordinary strength.

At his peak, he wielded power at the demigod level, even now after numerous battles with some internal injuries, there is no doubt he remains at the zenith of the Dragon Empire’s combat power.

Of course, for such a mighty Red Dragon King to willingly become the Guardian Giant Dragon of the Empire, there must be special reasons or perhaps special origins.

To trace back, it would have to go back to the founding of the Dragon Empire...

Just as Dalian’s thoughts wandered, suddenly, a pair of enormous vertical pupils, as large as windows, abruptly opened, and at the same time, a deep voice resonated:

”Menia...what awakens me....”

”Honored Red Dragon King, Throne of Flames, Guardian Giant Dragon of the Empire... at Ferdinand Forest, the avatar of Void Mother Tree Ganisir is descending... facing a demigod-level Evil God, we urgently require your assistance....”

Menia quickly briefed the situation; having once been her brother’s dragon companion, she was thoroughly familiar with his irritable temper, so she kept it concise.

”Hmm?”

Upon hearing Menia’s description of the circumstances, Straz’s pair of dragon eyes evidently became much more serious. He slowly rose, his massive mountain-like figure moving with ease, causing the ground to groan and tremble.

The surrounding dragon-man guards all showed faces of fear, a natural sense of oppression emanating right from their blood.

”Void Mother Tree Ganisir, hmm? It’s been a long time since I’ve heard that name, huff.....”

”In that case... let us go, Menia.”

...

Outside the core area of Ferdinand City.

Just after the crystal barrier abruptly shattered, a subsequent green light pillar instantly appeared, reestablishing the barrier, causing the expressions of Perseus and Parker to change like chameleons, from sheer delight to an extremely sullen mood, almost downcast enough to drip water!

They had thought the situation was settled, expecting to welcome the arrival of the great Void Mother Tree, but little did they predict that even at their last gasp, the Elf Clan could still have such a trump card, once again fending it off.

”Perseus, the time to fight for our lives has come; Prince Sedlin will be here soon, we need only hold on a bit longer!” Parker said deeply.
