Chapter 1383: Chapter 468: Secrets of the Elf Clan (Part 2)

“Child, you need not worry; you possess an excellent Druid talent,” Nasha Warbler confidently encouraged.

“Really?”

“That’s great! Elder Nasha, I’m willing to become your disciple!” Anna, assured, nodded emphatically, her beautiful eyes shining.

All along, Anna had hoped to be of some help to Rein.

But needless to say, even last time when they returned to Meister, Rein’s strength greatly exceeded her expectations.

And this time, the strength Rein displayed is likely something she cannot match, no matter how hard she tries in this lifetime.

However, as far as Anna is concerned, she still wants to improve her own strength as much as possible.

At the very least, she must not become a burden to Rein.

Yet, upon hearing the name ‘Daryn Yueling’ mentioned by Elder Nasha, Rein immediately recalled the clues about Anna’s mother, extracted from Reagan, one of the three brothers from the Dragon Scale Brotherhood.

‘The Golden Age Bar on the Fourth Ring of the Imperial City, through a transmission array located in the basement wine cellar…’ Rein silently recalled.

Previously, it was due to a lack of strength.

But now, he believes he possesses sufficient strength to begin the investigation.

This time, even if he faces that Second Prince directly, he is confident.

At this moment, a mature and graceful female voice came from the side: “Rein, do you remember me?”

Menia, draped in a red wizard robe, approached slowly with a smile.

“Prince Menia, hello, it’s been a long time,” Rein slightly bowed and greeted.

“Long time no see, Rein. Perhaps, later, we should have a good talk.”

“Of course,” Rein nodded, smiling.

In fact, it was anticipated that Menia would seek him out.

When he decided to use the Giant Dragon Transformation, the Royal Family would inevitably find him, and the ‘Red Queen’ Menia before him seemed to be the best person to communicate with.

However, at the moment, she should first handle some matters with the Elf Clan.

“Elder Auburn, it has been three years since we last met,” Menia turned and slightly bowed to the surrounding elders of the Elf Clan, smiling.

“Indeed, Prince Menia,” Elder Auburn returned the greeting.

“By the way, may I ask where King Starrian is?”

“With such a significant event occurring, I don’t seem to see King Starrian’s presence.”

Menia looked around inquiringly.

“This…”

Elder Auburn and several other Druid elders exchanged glances, hesitated, and then sighed, continuing:

“Prince Menia, it’s not that we intended to hide anything, but when King Starrian left Ferdinand Forest, he specifically instructed us not to disclose his departure.”

Elder Auburn glanced at the fallen Mother Tree Andaril and the many ruined parts of the Imperial Palace, showing sadness:

“However, now, there isn’t much need for secrecy.”

“Over six months ago, King Starrian took his captain of the personal guard to the legendary Silver Moon Glade to search for the Mother Tree Seed.”

Upon hearing this, Rein’s expression became enlightened!

No wonder he never saw the Elf Clan’s Demigod-level powerhouse.

Being such a historically rich Elf Clan, even if they have weakened, it is impossible for them not to have a Demigod-level powerhouse.

Also, Rein now understood why the Mother Tree Sect would go to great lengths to seduce Prince Sedlin into corruption.

Because with King Starrian’s absence, Prince Sedlin, a prince with royal blood of the elves, would inevitably gain much more say within the Elf Clan.

This holds true even if King Starrian had arranged for the Great Druids to co-govern, this could not be avoided.

The reason the Elf Clan concealed the absence of their Demigod level powerhouse is quite understandable: to prevent enemy interventions.

Moreover, in the Elf Clan’s eyes, even the Dragan Empire, with all its human might, isn’t entirely trustworthy.

“Oh? Silver Moon Glade?” Menia muttered, deep in thought.

“Yes, it’s the residence of another branch of our Elf Clan, the Silver Moon Elves. After the upheaval over ten thousand years ago, we lost contact with them. Recently, there have been reports of a passage to the Silver Moon Glade being discovered in the Eagle Federation, so…”

“I understand. If there is another place where the Mother Tree Seed might exist, the most likely place should be the Silver Moon Glade,” Menia seemed to have thought of something and said.

“Indeed, wise Prince Menia,” Elder Auburn nodded.

By this point, Rein had entirely grasped the reason for King Starrian’s absence: he went to seek out the so-called Silver Moon Elves to find the Mother Tree Seed, aiming to solve the problem of their own Mother Tree’s lifespan running out.

But Rein felt vaguely uneasy, as if something was not quite right about the timing of these events.

King Stalian had just left, and already the Mother Tree Sect began to tempt Prince Sedlin. The timing seemed way too coincidental.

“So, maybe the information King Stalian got wasn’t necessarily true.” Menia’s delicate face grew solemn as she spoke.

And this was just what Rein had been thinking.

“This…”

Hearing Menia’s words, Elder Auburn and the other Druid elders seemed to realize something, and their expressions changed!

“However, King Stalian’s strength likely means he’s not in danger, though he might be trapped in some secret realm.” Menia thought for a moment before continuing.

Her words made the Elves collectively breathe a sigh of relief.

Seeing this, Rein couldn’t help but sigh internally.

When it comes to conspiracies, Elves are ultimately way behind humans.

If the Mother Tree Sect’s schemes were in a human empire, they wouldn’t be considered very clever, but…

“Speaking of which, why was the Elf Clan’s Mother Tree so easily invaded? Logically, Mother Tree Andaril’s strength shouldn’t allow such ease.”

At that moment, Menia asked another question.

“According to ancient records, whether it’s the Void Mother Tree Ganisir or our Mother Tree Andaril, it seems they all originate from the World Tree Terrihill deep in the cosmos.”

Elder Auburn mulled over it before speaking slowly.

“So, if the Void Mother Tree Ganisir wants to descend, the same-origin Mother Tree Andaril is its best choice, allowing it to fully unleash its power.”

…

Listening on the side, Rein nodded.

So that’s how it is.

No wonder the Mother Tree Sect went to so much trouble with the Ferdinand Forest Elves, not only planning ahead but mobilizing almost the entire sect’s elite for this operation.

However, precisely because of this, the Mother Tree Sect was caught in one fell swoop!

The entire leadership — one Pope and two Deputies — were all killed.

For a while, there should be no spare energy to stir up trouble anew.

….

Suddenly, Rein sensed something and immediately turned his head.

Others too turned their heads to look.

To find that Prince Sedlin, who had been defeated by Rein and whose life was uncertain, was not dead.

At this moment, he was clutching his chest, staggering toward the fallen Elf Mother Tree Andaril, appearing utterly desolate.

Yet, unlike before.

His eyes now seemed clear, at least not as hollow and lifeless as before.

Moreover, his aura was extremely weak, so the Empire’s powerhouses watching didn’t step forward to stop him.

As for the other pure-blood Elves, they looked on at their prince with complex expressions, seemingly uncertain what to say.

On one hand, they all knew their prince seemed to have fallen for a cult’s temptation in seeking rebirth for the Mother Tree.

On the other hand, it was precisely because of their Prince Sedlin that the clan suffered such heavy losses this time, nearly halving an already scarce population.

“Thud!”

Prince Sedlin knelt beside the Elf Mother Tree Andaril, weeping and repenting:

“It’s all my fault….”

“I am the Elf Clan’s sinner!”

“I’ve awakened, but… it’s ultimately too late! Mother Tree… please forgive me….”

…

While Elder Auburn and others were moved and intended to step forward to console Prince Sedlin.

Suddenly!

Prince Sedlin emitted a dense green light and then turned into bits of green starlight, seeming to merge into the Elf Mother Tree Andaril.

“Prince!” Seeing this, Elder Auburn and other pure-blood Elves exclaimed.

…
