The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Amadeus Yancey sat down and illuminated the tablet.

The tablet quickly opened, starting a video call connection.

The video connected in just a few seconds.

”Amadeus.”

A young man appeared on the other side of the screen, probably in his early twenties, with handsome features and an outstandingly cold and hard demeanor.

As soon as the man saw Amadeus Yancey, he respectfully greeted him and then asked with concern, ”I heard you went to Inderia. How have you been lately?”

”Alright.” Amadeus Yancey replied indifferently, ”Are you still in Mundania?”

”Didn’t you tell me to keep an eye on the Hidden Family’s movements? I’ve been here all along...” Felix Kingsley stopped his sports car on the highway emergency lane to answer his video call, so without beating around the bush, he straightforwardly asked, ”Amadeus, do you need something from me?”

Felix Kingsley looks quite good.

If Nathalie Quinlan were here, she would definitely recognize this face.

Previously, when she went to the Pharmaceutical Association to find Caleb Dax, the Quarles family had attempted to forcibly ’invite’ her to their home as a guest.

At that time, Felix Kingsley had appeared in time to help her refuse the invitation once.

Amadeus Yancey had been having him stationed in Mundania for years to keep an eye on the Hidden Family’s stronghold movements, with Vincent Moore and Zed Moore not as high-ranking as Felix Kingsley within the Yandor Sect.

”Help me investigate someone.”

”Who?” Felix Kingsley sat up straight.

Amadeus Yancey tapped his fingers on the desk, knocking the desktop, and said slowly, ”Khendy Lordon.”

Felix Kingsley was taken aback: ”The boss of Maybelissa?”

He continued, ”Amadeus, why are you investigating him?”

Amadeus Yancey shook his head, his eyes enveloped in cold solitude, emanating an unapproachable aura: ”Look into his relationship with the K Organization.”

Although Felix Kingsley’s expression was very surprised, he almost didn’t ask unnecessary questions, immediately nodding and saying: ”Understood.”

”There’s more.” Amadeus Yancey called him back.

Felix Kingsley looked at him again.

Amadeus Yancey furrowed his brow tightly: ”Investigate how Maybelissa rose to power, and whether there’s a shadow of the Hidden Family behind its ascent.”

Felix Kingsley immediately indicated his understanding: ”Alright, I’ll get right to it.”

Amadeus Yancey made a sound of acknowledgment, then promptly hung up the video call.

The tablet’s screen blacked out, automatically powered down and shut off.

He sat in the swivel chair for a while, then picked up the phone, stood by the window, and made another call.

”...Check out Regina Isadora’s background.”

When Nathalie Quinlan sent Orson Saban and Violetta Hoffman away, the sky outside had completely darkened.

The night wind of April in Inderia rolled in.

The weather was quite cold.

She went to the bathroom to take a shower, emerged wearing a bathrobe and without tying the robe’s belt, loosely draped it on herself; she took out a tube of green ointment from her backpack and lowered her head to simply change the dressing on her shoulder.

”Hiss...”

The scabbed wound on Nathalie Quinlan’s right shoulder seemed to show signs of secondary tearing, with the skin around the wound slightly reddening.

These were all symptoms of secondary tears and inflammation of the wound.

She applied the ointment, and the cool sensation on her shoulder slightly suppressed the fiery sharp pain.

”Knock knock.”

At that moment, there was a knocking sound at the door.

Nathalie Quinlan put down the ointment, pulled on her bathrobe, and looked towards the door, saying: ”Come in.”

She herself got up to put away the ointment, unzipped her backpack, and put the items back inside.

As soon as Amadeus Yancey entered, he saw the green ointment in her hand, with a string of foreign letters on it, which was unclear from a distance.

Despite Nathalie Quinlan quickly putting the items away, he still saw them.

He walked in, frowned, his expression somewhat grave, and approached to grasp the girl’s wrist, his deep voice asking: ”Your wound is inflamed? How did it happen?”
