The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Amadeus Yancey walked over at this moment, politely saying to the doctor, ”Doctor, may I have a word with you?”

The chief surgeon, noticing his distinguished attire and then glancing at the people in the corridor, hesitated for a moment before stepping aside with him...

Ten minutes later, Amadeus Yancey and the chief surgeon returned one after another.

The chief surgeon’s attitude had changed 360°, as he approached Nathalie Quinlan and said, ”I’ll have them prepare. The surgery will start in 20 minutes. Is that okay?”

”Okay.”

Nathalie Quinlan took off the black elastic band from her wrist to tie up her hair, then handed the casual single shoulder bag to the elegant man beside her, and looked up, saying, ”Thanks.”

Amadeus Yancey skillfully took the bag for her, curling his lips as he said, ”Don’t worry, I’ve temporarily suppressed the news of Mr. Fuller’s hospitalization. No one at The First Research Institute knows about it for now, and those who do won’t talk.”

Nicholas Fuller is the principal of The First Research Institute, and if it got out that he was attacked and nearly lost his life, someone would surely try to stir up trouble.

Amadeus Yancey anticipated this and suppressed the news in advance.

So, as of now, except for Williansen Barness, not even Orson Saban and the others at The First Research Institute have heard a whisper.

”Moreover, I’ve had Zed Moore keep an eye on the Garland Family.”

Nathalie Quinlan hadn’t expected he had even thought of this: ”...”

He continued, ”Before Mr. Fuller wakes up, no one from the Garland Family should think of running. Just like you, I believe Nathan Garland is best left for Mr. Fuller to handle.”

The ice coldness in Nathalie Quinlan’s eyes melted as her gaze warmed considerably. She pressed her lips together and looked at him. This time she said sincerely, ”Thank you.”

”Mm.” Having heard her thanks twice in a row, Amadeus Yancey couldn’t help but lightly chuckle, his gaze remaining on her as he softly said, ”The time’s about right. You should hurry and change your clothes.”

”Mm.”

Nathalie Quinlan glanced at the operating room. The doctors and nurses had started preparing for the surgery, and she needed to change into a sterile surgical gown and disinfect her hands.

There were quite a lot of preparations before surgery.

She couldn’t afford to waste more time.

Thus, Nathalie Quinlan didn’t linger further, confidently leaving the matter outside to him, and went inside the operating room.

The operating room did not allow observations, and secondly, to maintain its sterile environment, its doors would not be left open to outsiders.

So once she entered, the doors closed again, and a red sign lit up with ”Surgery in Progress, Please Do Not Disturb”.

Outside.

The sky was a murky gray.

Orson Saban, unable to contact Nicholas Fuller all day, walked out of Nicholas Fuller’s office, only to come face to face with Violetta Hoffman and the level-2 laboratory manager.

The two greeted Orson Saban.

Seeing that they were seemingly there to visit Nicholas Fuller, Orson stopped them before they passed by, ”Are you looking for the principal?”

Violetta Hoffman couldn’t help but stop in her tracks, turning her head, looking at him in confusion.

Orson Saban calmly explained, ”I also have some matters with the principal, but unfortunately, he’s not in.”

”The principal is not in?” Violetta Hoffman frowned slightly, seemingly troubled.

She said to the level-2 laboratory manager, ”You go back first. I’ll have a word with the Vice Principal.”

The level-2 laboratory manager was there to report on the initiation of a new project to Nicholas Fuller. There was no major issue, just meeting Violetta Hoffman on the way, so they came together.

Seeing that Violetta and Orson Saban had things to discuss, the manager tactfully said to them, ”You two, go ahead and talk. I’ll return to the laboratory.”
