The Unveiling of Secret Queen

”Alright, alright, he just has this stubborn temper, you don’t need to bother with him.” Zed Moore grabbed her and reminded her that everyone around was looking: ”Why are you even bothering with him? Ignore him. Come, I’ll have a drink with you.”

Lianna Young fought down her anger, pressed her lips together, and sat down. But it was clear her interest had waned; she poured herself a drink nervously and took a sip, then put down the goblet. Her gaze landed on Zed Moore, who was smiling broadly. The alcohol burned in her throat as she muttered, ”Didn’t he look down on that woman before? Why now, when I mention her, does he act like he’s swallowed an explosive?”

”Is that woman really that good?”

”Is she really pretty?”

Lianna Young scoffed noncommittally: ”Inderia is not someplace for weak women who are just pretty. Here, it’s all about fists. What can she do at the Yandor Sect besides cry? Is a woman like that interesting?”

Zed Moore’s smile paused slightly, and he slowly put down his glass, looking at her deeply: ”Lianna, you can say these things to me, but never say them in front of Amadeus. If you’re smart, don’t mention a word, or else face the consequences.”

Lianna Young looked at him, a bit in disbelief.

Is that woman really that important?

Is Amadeus spoiling her too much!

She’s just a woman, is it necessary for her to be so important?

Vincent Moore seemed to see through her thoughts, chuckled lightly, and said, ”You seem to have misunderstood something. Amadeus’s girlfriend isn’t the weak little girl you described. She... well? How should I put it? Have you seen Vincent Moore?”

Lianna Young didn’t understand: ”What do you mean?”

”Vincent used to think just like you.” Zed Moore adjusted his glasses and smiled politely: ”He’s now been ’beaten’ by Ms. Quinlan into learning how to behave!”

Lianna Young clearly interpreted his ’beaten’ as being physically fought, greatly astonished. She could not imagine a woman who could subdue Vincent Moore, one of the top combatants at Yandor Sect. How strong must she be?

Lianna Young couldn’t help but picture a muscular Barbie in her mind, and for a moment forgot her sadness. Her mouth twitched hard, and after a long silence, said: ”...Well, Amadeus has quite a heavy taste, huh.”

Zed Moore knew well that she misunderstood but didn’t bother to explain, only raised an eyebrow and smiled enigmatically.

”Yeah, quite heavy.”

Nathalie Quinlan still didn’t know she had been categorized under muscular Barbie.

She had just had a meal with Nicholas Fuller and the others, and then followed Amadeus Yancey to say hi to those at the Yandor Sect room.

Amadeus Yancey told her they would just say hi and leave, which Nathalie Quinlan didn’t mind at all, since they were already out anyway.

There were many private rooms at Fauna Kitchen.

Nathalie Quinlan and the others were in a top floor private room.

The Yandor Sect gathering’s private room was on the first floor.

The two took the elevator down and ran into Vincent Moore, who was outside smoking by the door.

”Ms. Quinlan.” Vincent Moore, upon seeing the casually striding girl approaching, hurriedly flicked away the cigarette from his mouth and crushed it with his toe. Only then did he seem to notice the man beside Nathalie, as he belatedly greeted him: ”Amadeus.”

Amadeus Yancey was used to him greeting Nathalie Quinlan first before him, too lazy to argue, he asked lazily: ”Why are you outside? Where are the others?”

”I stepped out for some air, it’s stifling inside with the air conditioner on.” Vincent Moore said as he walked back, opening the door for them: ”They’re all inside, haven’t left yet. Please, come in, Ms. Quinlan.”
