The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Meanwhile, in Rhine.

Nathalie Quinlan had just arrived at her place and went upstairs to take a shower, changing into some clothes before coming down.

She had only walked to the fridge and opened the door, taking out a bottle of Evian, when she received a phone call from Silvania Ingram before she could open the cap.

Nathalie walked to the sofa in the living room, put the water down, and answered Silvania’s call: ”Hello, Mrs. Ingram. What’s up?”

”I heard you came back?” Silvania’s voice was as crisp as ever, showcasing the demeanor of a strong woman.

Nathalie found a place to sit down, responding casually: ”Yeah, just arrived.”

”How long do you plan to stay this time?” Silvania chuckled and said, ”And when do you have time to join me for a meal?”

Nathalie rested a leg on the tea table, her jeans accentuating her straight, long leg with a nonchalant vibe.

”At least a week, at most a month, depending on the situation.” Holding her phone, she slightly lowered her eyelids, shielding her beautiful eyes, and spoke nonchalantly, ”For lunch, maybe over the weekend. Or I’ll see if I have time in a few days and give you a call in advance.”

”Alright.” Silvania knew she had just come back, surely to dine with her family, so these days she might not have time to meet up. Since Nathalie agreed to arrange it later, she agreed promptly.

Taking this chance, Silvania chatted with Nathalie about some new projects and earnings in Pinecone Group over the past month.

Nathalie listened casually, not taking it to heart: ”Mrs. Ingram, you handle it.”

”You have shares yet don’t care at all. If I swindle you, you wouldn’t even know.” Silvania teased.

She treated Nathalie like her daughter, and couldn’t bear to deceive her for money.

Casually saying a few words, Silvania recalled what her assistant told her at noon, her tone suddenly turning serious: ”By the way, have you heard about this?”

Nathalie was waiting for Amadeus Yancey to come out and tell her about the phone call he got at the airport, so she was somewhat distracted: ”Hm? What is it?”

”You haven’t heard?”

After asking, Silvania continued, ”This morning Caryn Zachmann took the chance of being out on medical bail to run away, still hasn’t been found.”

Just as Silvania finished speaking, a room upstairs opened its door.

The man who similarly showered right after returning home was descending the stairs in casual attire, beads of water dripping from his fine jawline, looking incredibly appealing.

Nathalie’s gaze lingered on him for a moment, then she pulled her attention back.

On the phone, Silvania was worried and advising her: ”This Caryn has a lot of hostility towards you. Since she escaped, she might come after you. Keep an eye out.”

Not feeling reassured just by saying, Silvania pondered a bit and added, ”Should I arrange a few bodyguards to accompany you?”

Pinecone Group is, after all, a big company with its own security system.

For Silvania, arranging bodyguards to secure Nathalie’s safety wouldn’t take more than a few words.

She was concerned that Nathalie’s personality wouldn’t accept having bodyguards around.

And indeed.

Shortly after she spoke.

A girl’s voice faintly came through the phone: ”No need, I can handle it myself.”

Silvania couldn’t persuade her, and after saying a few more sentences reminding her to be careful when going out these days, she didn’t add more and hung up the call.
