The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Caryn Zachmann was indeed seriously ill this time, otherwise she wouldn’t have had the opportunity to come out for medical treatment.

The doctor ran tests and confirmed that she had a moderate to severe respiratory dysfunction caused by bronchial, lung, and pleura diseases, which were classified as a serious respiratory disease.

This condition met the criteria for medical parole.

After completing a series of tests, a nurse administered an IV to her, giving her a moment to catch her breath. She closed her eyes and sat on the chair receiving the infusion.

Celine Tucker went in the middle to talk to Mr. Ullmer, who was supervising Caryn Zachmann, about the issue of medical parole, but Mr. Ullmer was very resolute.

The Yancey Family wouldn’t relent, so he didn’t dare to help.

Forced into a corner, Celine could only temporarily give up and returned to see Caryn sitting there with a haggard face, eyes closed, receiving the infusion. She stood beside her, opened her mouth, but couldn’t make a sound.

At this moment, Caryn seemed to sense her return and opened her eyes with a faint glimmer of hope, arduously speaking, ”Mom, did you ask? When can I get medical parole?”

Celine had promised her earlier that she would find a way this time.

However, the situation was more difficult than she imagined. Facing her daughter’s expectations, she said with a somber expression, ”Caryn, wait a little longer. Mom will find a way...”

Caryn had been full of hope, but hearing her say ’will find a way’, she realised her hopes were dashed. Her expression twisted for a moment as she clutched her head in pain, ”You find a way, what way? Even in this condition, I can’t get out. I’ll never get out in this lifetime!”

Celine quickly pulled her hand away to prevent her from self-harming, ”Don’t worry, Mom will find a way, just give me some more time. I will definitely find a way to get you out on parole...”

Just then, Celine’s phone rang.

She glanced at it, and the lock screen showed Leonardy Zachmann’s call. She had to find an opportunity to answer it, her voice a bit frantic, ”Hello? Yes, I’m not at home.”

She glanced at the hospital’s surroundings and didn’t dare say she was visiting Caryn again, so she lied, ”I’m at the spa, I’ll come home later.”

Caryn knew her father was thoroughly disappointed in her because of previous incidents. She barely held back her voice and bit her lip while listening to Celine on the phone.

”What?”

Celine suddenly raised her voice, ”She’s coming back? When? I’m not going.”

Caryn’s heart skipped a beat as a sixth sense vaguely told her that the person Celine mentioned was—Nathalie Quinlan.

Soon, Celine hung up the phone, her face looking quite unpleasant.

Caryn immediately stared at her and asked, ”Nathalie’s coming back? Didn’t she go to McKinney and take a leave?”

When did Tsinghua University allow such easy approval of year-long leaves?

Jackson Wafford is so biased towards Nathalie, even permitting her a year of suspension.

The Chinese Medicine department is also weak, not a single person dares to say anything, including Mr. Avalon and Shawn Norton. Both seemed to have acquiesced to Nathalie’s request for leave.

Thinking of this, Caryn’s heart was filled with resentment and injustice.

”Your dad said she’s coming back today, arriving later, and wants me to have dinner, but I didn’t agree.” Celine didn’t dare to provoke her and quickly changed the topic, ”Don’t worry about these things now, just focus on getting better...”

Caryn could almost guess who accompanied Nathalie back. Just the thought of that person made her heart ache to the point where she couldn’t breathe... Then, thinking about her own situation, not even allowed medical parole.

She suddenly tightened her face, looking very calm, expressionless, and said to Celine, ”I want to go to the bathroom.”
