The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1937: Chapter 1937: Everyone in the Dormitory Was Invited Except Zayn Fisher

The girl’s voice was light and her eyes were full of sincerity: ”I’ve never considered these things before, and I probably won’t consider them in the future either.”

Stephanie Tanzil immediately understood her meaning and didn’t get upset due to Nathalie Quinlan’s rejection: ”I understand, I’ll cancel it for you.”

”By the way, there’s one other thing.”

She paused, then mentioned the main reason for the call to Nathalie Quinlan: ”The day after tomorrow is Mrs. Tanzil’s birthday, we’re having a banquet at home, do you have time to attend? I’ll have someone send an invitation over to you.”

The Tanzil family’s banquet is very high-class.

The guests invited are naturally carefully selected.

Stephanie Tanzil valued Nathalie Quinlan greatly: ”It’s just a family banquet, I mentioned you to her, and the old lady wants to meet you.”

Mrs. Tanzil has a kind and amiable personality, she’s an elderly person who has a carefree attitude, one of the few among the older generation in Beijing.

She started enjoying her retirement early.

At 80 years old, she can still drink four taels of liquor a day, her health is vigorous.

She heard Stephanie Tanzil talk about Nathalie Quinlan’s achievements and learned that her grandson’s crush on a goddess failed, quickly accepted it, started to mature, and studied to take over the family business, becoming very interested in Nathalie Quinlan. This time, it was the old lady who proactively suggested inviting Nathalie Quinlan to attend her birthday banquet.

”Nathalie Quinlan, do you have time?” Stephanie herself liked Nathalie Quinlan very much and sincerely invited her.

Nathalie Quinlan thought for a moment and then spoke apologetically: ”Sorry, I’m not in Beijing, can’t return temporarily, I won’t go. I’ll ask a friend to bring a gift over.”

The friend she mentioned was Lowie Wilmar.

The Wilmar Family and the Tanzil Family are family friends, and Lowie Wilmar is surely going.

”Oh, I see.” Stephanie Tanzil wasn’t too disappointed, just said a few words to Nathalie Quinlan, and hung up the phone.

Then she leaned back in the chair, not in a hurry to leave.

She sent a message to her nephew.

...

Tsinghua University boy’s dormitory.

Zeus Tanzil had just returned, having just showered and changed clothes, he saw the WhatsApp message from Stephanie Tanzil right when he left the bathroom.

He opened it.

”I invited Nathalie Quinlan for you, but unfortunately she’s not in Beijing and can’t come to your grandma’s birthday banquet. Tsk, kiddo, don’t say your aunt didn’t try for you, chin up.”

Zeus Tanzil stared at the message on WhatsApp, read it three times before looking away, silently pursed his lips, turned back to say to someone in the dormitory: ”Stewin Hoffman, my grandma’s birthday is the day after tomorrow, would you like to come?”

”Me? Would it be appropriate for me to go?” Stewin Hoffman came from a regular family, a local, but it’s different from Zeus Tanzil’s family, they have different circles, he didn’t expect Zeus Tanzil would invite him.

”You’re my friend, what’s inappropriate about it.” Zeus Tanzil punched him playfully and also mentioned the birthday banquet to another person.

Both of them were thrilled and agreed to go.

There are four people in the dormitory.

Besides Zeus Tanzil himself, the other two were invited to the birthday banquet, only Zayn Fisher was not invited, which was particularly awkward.

However, Zeus Tanzil had no intention of inviting him, when he passed by him, his expression was quite indifferent, he only said to him: ”Excuse me.”

Zayn Fisher stepped aside to make way for him, with a slight look of embarrassment on his face.

Zeus Tanzil acted as if he didn’t notice, grabbed his laptop, brushed past him, and went off to find Jackson Wafford to deal with the graduation formalities.
