The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1906: Chapter 1906: Checking the First Place in the First Row Directly

There was a group of people outside The First Research Institute waiting as well.

Zevaney Kingsley, James Lawrence, and Willy Kingsley were all present, along with a large group of others waiting for the examination results from inside.

”Why is it taking so long?” Willy Kingsley checked his watch several times before he finally couldn’t hold back any longer. He got up from his seat and walked to the entrance of the corridor, stretching his neck to take a look.

There was no sign of anyone coming out from inside.

He returned, irritated, and spoke to Zevaney Kingsley, ”Normally, the examination ends by this time; it’s been over half an hour today, and not a single person has come out... What’s going on?”

Zevaney Kingsley was also checking the time.

Not wearing a watch, she glanced at the time on the Quartz clock mounted on the wall.

The hands of the Quartz clock had long passed their intersecting point; it was already 12:35.

She remembered clearly that the second round of examination was supposed to end at 12 o’clock sharp, that is to say, 35 minutes had already passed since the examination ended.

minutes had gone by, yet not a single person had come out.

Zevaney Kingsley pressed her red lips tightly, unable to keep her calm any longer, and got up to make a phone call to someone she knew to ask about the situation inside.

She hadn’t made the call yet.

The rest area was suddenly in a commotion.

Someone shouted loudly, ”The examination results are out!”

”The results are out? Where?”

”Finally, the results are out... I thought something unexpected had happened inside; otherwise, why hadn’t anyone come out, and why hadn’t the scores been announced all this time.”

Everyone looked at the scrolling display.

After a 40-minute interval, the scrolling display finally started announcing the scores.

This time, only 29 people participated in the second round of examination, so the results were announced quickly.

As per the old rule, the scrolling display showed the rankings from 20-29 first.

Zevaney Kingsley wasn’t interested in the later rankings; she routinely glanced up.

Nathalie Quinlan’s name wasn’t on it as well.

Soon, the scrolling display updated with ranks 10-20.

Similarly, Nathalie Quinlan’s name wasn’t in these ranks either, and neither was Therry Kingsley’s, indicating the two had made it into the top ten.

Beside her, Willy Kingsley noticed Nathalie Quinlan’s name wasn’t among the 10-20 ranks, and somewhat surprised, he raised his eyes and lowered his voice to say, ”Did Nathalie Quinlan get into the top ten?”

James Lawrence was also closely monitoring the ranks being refreshed on the scrolling display, noticing Nathalie Quinlan’s name wasn’t among the late ranks.

He was calmer than yesterday, but his heart was still extremely thrilled and tense, though not to the extent of almost losing composure like yesterday.

He had prepared himself psychologically today.

Thus, seeing Nathalie Quinlan’s name not among the 10-20 ranks on the scrolling display, despite his heart racing with tension, he didn’t show it on his face.

”She seems to have entered the top ten.” Zevaney Kingsley, with an impassive expression, stared at the scrolling display, responding to Willy Kingsley’s question.

Willy Kingsley pursed his lips and couldn’t help but look at the scrolling display as well, starting to feel nervous.

In the first round, only Nathalie Quinlan and Andriana Davidson’s scores were eligible to compete with Therry Kingsley for a slot in the institute; so long as the two performed worse than Therry Kingsley in the second round, Therry Kingsley could enter with his comprehensive scores...

But they were unlucky, as Nathalie Quinlan and Andriana Davidson seemed to have both made it to the top ten.

Whether Therry Kingsley could smoothly obtain eligibility to enter the institute now became uncertain.

A few seconds later, the scrolling display refreshed again.

According to previous rules, this time it would directly show the scores, unlike the first round where there was verification involved.

Zevaney Kingsley’s eyes deepened slightly, as she waited for the final scores to be revealed.

Once the scrolling display refreshed, she directly looked at the first name on the first line.
