The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1913: Chapter 1913: After the Evaluation Comes Selection

James Lawrence was the only one who didn’t leave; he watched the interaction between the two, feeling a surge of joy in his heart, almost wearing his delight on his face.

The people from the Punishment Hall coming forward to convince her was essentially giving Nathalie Quinlan ample face. Nathalie should return to her ancestry this time!

After leaving the research institute, Nathalie Quinlan did not return to her residence but went to the estate first to check on Marcella Davidson’s situation.

Marcella Davidson had been taking the medicine Nathalie Quinlan prescribed for more than a week, and her health indicators were maintained relatively well, with her sleep quality improved considerably.

At least she wouldn’t be tormented by pain all night long as she used to be.

Marcella herself was a strong-willed person, and with the lessened pain recently, her complexion was indeed improving day by day.

When Nathalie arrived, she was taking her medicine, and seeing the girl come to see her, Marcella lightly slapped Kenzie Nabours’ hand to make him move aside, then gently beckoned to the girl: ”Nathalie, come over quickly.”

Kenzie Nabours also saw Nathalie Quinlan. He stepped aside from the bed, his gentle face radiating a smile, familiarly greeting Nathalie: ”Ms. Quinlan, what brings you here?”

Today was the research institute’s second round of assessments, and by his estimation, Nathalie had just finished the test not long ago.

He assumed Nathalie would go back to rest but didn’t expect her to come over specially.

”I’m here to see Mrs. Davidson and help her with another acupuncture.” Nathalie put her bag down, unzipped it, and took out the acupuncture pack from inside.

Kenzie Nabours put down the medicine bottle and immediately made space for the two: ”I’ll wait for you outside.”

He quickly went out, thoughtfully closing the door behind them.

Nathalie didn’t waste time; after sitting down by Marcella Davidson’s hospital bed, she checked Marcella’s pulse to confirm her physical condition, her brows slightly relaxed.

Then she looked up, her excessively beautiful eyes gazing at Marcella Davidson, showing noticeable patience: ”Mrs. Davidson, the treatment might hurt a bit; please bear with it.”

”Alright.” Seeing her, Marcella thought of an acquaintance, very cooperatively put her pillow down, and lay on the bed.

While Nathalie was administering the treatment, Marcella Davidson watched her, speaking softly: ”Did you pass the research institute assessment?”

Marcella herself was highly intelligent; otherwise, she wouldn’t have achieved such great success in weapon manufacturing, not to mention that she was also a nuclear expert from The First Research Institute.

So seeing Nathalie at this particular time, she had already guessed the results of this year’s assessments from The First Research Institute.

The girl murmured ’Hmm,’ fully immersed in the acupuncture.

”That’s good.”

Marcella Davidson’s lips curled into a smile, almost wanting to reach out and twist the girl’s hair.

She was about to raise her arm when she realized there were still acupuncture needles on it and had to give up, gazing gently at the girl focused on her treatment: ”After entering the research institute, you still have to face the selection process, and I don’t know who will choose you.”

Marcella sighed: ”Given your results, you should be able to select well in the research institute, but you’re not Inderian; I wonder if anyone would be willing to mentor you.”

As she spoke, a layer of light worry appeared on her beautiful face.

Nathalie glanced at her, finished the acupuncture, tucked the blanket in for her, and stood aside.

Her face showed little expression, casually comforting her: ”It’s fine, I know someone who is the head of the level-3 laboratory at the research institute. If worse comes to worst, I could also join her.”
